Great thanks, it took me a few tries to connect the cable to the radio, it worked after 3rd try, one of my problems, the cable wasn't firmly in the radio, before that i taught it was 73's
Awesome video very good. I have a question and was wondering if you had any input. My radio menu button is not functional. One day I turned it on and noticed the Menu button doesn't work anymore. I tried changing the firmware but it still doesn't work. Do u have any input on this issue?
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones Thanks for reaching out 🤝 I had to recenter the connector under the menu button. I noticed it has clear adhesive to protect the connections, so I carefully separated the tape and recentered the connection and it's working properly. It's a damn good day when We can do our own repairs 😄 Now I can try the new firmware. It was damn near impossible to function with the Menu button not functional but the situation is taking care of. STay Blessed brother 73's 🙏
This radio is difficult. I got onto NO1 (which ISS 162.550) and now I can't get back to my previous frequency. The user manual has such small print I can barely read the headers, much less the stuff under them. I've tried the various function combos, nothing. Another thing, when I receive calls, the voices sound jumbled. The encryption is OFF and I'm clueless. At the end of transmissions I get a _shhhht_ sound, even though the tail tone elimination is ON on both menu items 27 and 28. The radio appears to have a repeater function which, if it does, is cool. But I've never seen such horrible documentation on any radio, and I've got them coming out of my ears! Years ago, I had a Zorba cp/m computer with an amber screen. The display reminded me of it, so it's the only reason I bought the damn thing. I would never recommend it to a new ham enthusiast. Part of my problem is a cateract in my left eye, but dang, I've got a good right eye and 4x glasses, so it's not that I'm blind. I'd reset the radio if I didn't fear getting all new Chinese menus and voices. Anyone who can help an old man help would be appreciated!

Hi please be kind I have just bought one of these radios and I can’t find anything on it is there any good videos on how to listen to things on it sorry but iam trying to start this hobby and don’t want to outlay a lot of money so wanted to start with one of these as they got lots of good reviews. I'm leaving this on and going to bed. I am no stranger to this since I own three Quanshengs and a Marine Band ship radio. No doubt if anything kicks off it will wake me with interest. I forgot to mention the 5 Baofeng's lol.

Hi, great video. I have the same radio and when I scan saved frequencies it use to screen time out but now stays on. Any ideas please? I did flash the longer time out but stats on all the time. I have flashed the Originalstock firmware . Just require help now

Thank you, that's very useful. I noticed some of the extra menu options are available on Chirp, including the TX options but not the battery settings.

Hi , yes they can jam in also you can dismantle radio in one minute I will be the pressure pad .
