- HI
today I am having a look at how to adjust and use the double fold binder with only one needle and in this case with the chain stitch on my coverstitch machine.
I share with you the adjustment that is needed, how to check it and how to position your binder on the machine when you are ready to sew. Also checking it one more time - this is very important if you have adjusted your binder. You should always make sure that the adjustments and positioning are as you like before actually working on your project.
Happy Sewing!
Your videos are always so timely. I'm resourcing this three years after you posted it, but I needed it today, and I appreciate so much how detailed and clear your instructions are. Thank you for taking the time to help us viewers! 😊
As usual, excellent! Thanks!
I love to watch your creative plans!! Never thought I could fiddle around with my binders. I'll keep watching ALL of your tricks! THANKS!
I just attempted this yesterday ( unsuccessfully) and am so glad to have this video. You explain it so well, and I really appreciate your work on this!
I hope it now works for you!
This is such a detailed explanation and really builds confidence in using this attachment. Thank you.
Thank you
I bought a generic binder that works perfectly. Think I might buy an extra one to set up like this permanently. Great tutorials! Do I hear a mix of English accent there?
Thanks for watching!
I have just got a Babylock Evolution and I can’t seem to get much stretch in my chain stitch. Because it’s also a Babylock, I’m hopeful that it’s capable of stretching and it’s just that I have set something up wrong. Do you have any hints for adjusting the machine to increase the stretchiness of the stitch?
I can not advise you on an Evolution as I do not have one. In general if there is no or little stretch it can be that you should reduce the tensions, shorten the stitch length and or also adjust the differential. Rule of thumb is that the more thread you have used for the length of your stitches the more stretch you can have.
