Yes! If these are actually going to be used, acrylic will melt. Need cotton (or perhaps wool).
I love this. I am going to make them for little girls to play with as toys. You did a perfect job on the tutorial even at the beginning. I especially liked the way you showed putting on the lattice. So simple compared to what I was thinking in my head. I like the darker crust, it looks like graham cracker crust my mother made. Keep on antiquing and getting more ideas. Thanks for filming even when you were feeling so lousy. I would have waited til you felt better.

Acrylic yarn will MELT if something very hot touches it. Need cotton yarn for hot pads and potholders.

I finished mine today and it turned out cute! Your pattern is the cutest of the "pie" potholder patterns I've seen because of the puffs which look like cherries.
Although my stitch counts, yarn weight, and both hook sizes were correct, my filling was much too small for my crust. I had to leave the last round of crust and the rim off, and I added an edge of SC to the filling. Yours did great so I don't know why my sizes didn't match, but I got it to work! Love mu little cherry pie, LOL. (I did use cotton yarn so I could actually use it if I want.)

I like your puff stitches pie filling much better than some other patterns. It looks like cherries! Thanks; I'm going to try one but not "burn" my crust, LOL. And I'll use cotton yarn so hot pans won't melt the pie.

Pe;aches n Cream cotton yarn in color Oasis is good, and either Jute in Sugar n Cream or Hay Bale in another brand of cotton are good crust colors. Or any tan or dark cream, not hard to find here.

Cotton yarn use jute in Lilly n cream yarn.
That's what I'm using. Peaches n Cream in Oasis ombre is good too, but they were out of it.

My pie crust is bigger than the filling what am I doing wrong. I know its 43 puffs and the crust is 84 stitches thats almost double but yours dont look that much bigger. Thank you for doing this for us. Even though you was sick we appreciate it but we could have waited till you was better. Thanks again
She changed what she first said about the hook sizes at the beginning; she finally said to use the bigger size 6mm hook for the filling so it would be big enough, and use the 5mm hook for the crust. She said it the opposite way at first. A little confusing.
I haven't made mine yet so I don't know how it will turn out. These are so cute!

Well, I'm making one today, and my filling is much too small too, even though I used the bigger hook! When I was making my crust I didn't even do the final round because it was already so much bigger than my filling! I used the smaller hook,, like she said. I know the number of stitches won't be the same (because I didn't do the last round) but I'll (hopefully) make it work when I crochet the filling to the crust. I even went back and put a single crochet edge around the filling so it would be a little bigger but still have the same number of stitches on the edge. It's still a little too small! I'm making the back-loop "rim" on the crust now. I hope I can make this work. Her pattern is much cuter than the others I've seen because the puff stitches look like cherries or berries.
Like you, my number of stitches were correct and so was my yarn weight and hook size. I don't know why my filling is so small and my crust so large! (If I'd done that last round of crust it would have been HUGE.) ???

Yes, she changed it to 6mm so the filling would be big enough. Use a 5mm for the crust.
