I just finished making this potholder. It was so very easy to make. When I finished and looked at it I giggled. : ) My neighbors and family will be getting this for Christmas. Thank you for your tutorials.
Thank you for your patience and clear instructions, Crystal! I was so surprised to actually be able to make this adorable little chicken and will happily be making many more as gifts!
I have followed a few of your patterns I want you to know you really are a good teacher and your directions and following you it's so very easy thank you so very much
This was a great project for my granddaughter (age 10). She loves crafts and is learning to crochet, so this was perfect. Your instructions were very clear and her potholder came out beautiful...she was so proud of herself! She is looking forward to making something else soon. Thanks again for your video!
I just made this tonight for a birthday gift and now I can make the coasters for the same person's Christmas gift!! This was easy to follow along with you. You are such a wonderful teacher!
Been wanting to make your chicken for years. I just did 🎉 Thank you for gifting me with being able to make it because of your wonderful tutorial, you really do make it easy!
Hi Bag O Day! I'm so happy to tell you that I've followed your video and could finish my chicken potholder! Many thanks for your love and patience for sharing. I'm a beginner in crocheting, greetings!
I just finished one and then made a second one ( limited to the center head and body ) and then whip stitched it to the back of the first. Although it is thicker and makes a good little pot holder, it still doesn’t hang well without drooping, but it makes a VERY cute trivet or heat pad for the breakfast table. Thank you for the video👏👏👏
Thank you for the pattern. I love these chickens and have made a few. Your teaching method is fabulous, taking time to explain and camera angles just right to follow along.
I love this pattern. I made 2 following your instructions. Then got brave and ventured on my own with a few additions and subtractions and have made smaller version for Christmas Tree ornaments!
I just made a chicken pot holder with you watching this tutorial and it turned out beautifully!! I love all of your tutorials because you make it so easy to learn and voice is relaxing , making it easy to listen to and follow. Thank you so much!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yep, I had to check. This is the tutorial I used to make my friend pot holders! I could kick myself for not checking out your page 6 years ago when I made them. At least I found you later on so I can learn how to crochet patterns and new stitches from you. Blessings!
I’m going to be making this darling pot holder. I love Roosters. Also I use acrylic yarn all the time for hot pads and pot holders and they have worked out fine for me. In fact the Red Heart Granny Square yarn makes real nice hot pads. Love your show!❤
Thank you for the tutorial! I made a miniature version with sewing thread, it's about a square inch big. I'll tag you on instagram when I put up a picture.
I’ve started using crochet thread, which already feels small. I can manage, but my hands/fingers hurt. Do you have advice for how to work with crochet thread and sewing thread and make your hands more comfortable? I did get a Boye ergonomic hook holder, but even the hand holding the thread gets achy.
I made this in 3 different yarn colors for my daughter gor xmas. I posted it in the Annies crochet fb group and it was a HUGE hit. I gave them this link and about 100 people or more have now visited this video and made these awesome chickens. 😁
Thank you for another great simple wonderful relaxing video to follow. I'll be making a set of these for my best friends mom for her birthday in couple weeks.
I have made three of them so far, they are so easy and fast to make up. Love your teaching style, and your instructions are very easy to understand. Thank you very much for doing these videos! They really are great!!
Thank you so much for doing this. Been since I was a kid crocheting. Now I'm back doing it. Made 6 of these so far. I could have never done it without your help.
This is so adorable and I really love chicken decor in the kitchen. This is perfect for my new decor in my kitchen. Love this and have added it to my list of to do’s!! 👍🏼🥰❤️🤠🧶
Made one last night while watching, pausing to catch up. Loved it! When I first saw it, I had to pause all other projects and try it. Came out cute. Loved it!
Going to make a few of these for my sister for her birthday, as she raises and shows European breeds of chickens. These are adorable. Thank you for this tutorial.
I just made one along with the tutorial. Very easy to follow, even for beginners. Second time through I wrote down each step to have a written pattern to follow. Thank you!
Just worked this up. I only had one variegated cotton yarn to use so I didn't change the colors up for the top of the head, chest and beak but it's still adorable! As always thank you for your easy to follow tutorials and your time Miss Crystal.
THANK YOU CRYSTAL I HAVE GOTTEN BETTER WITH YOUR TUTORIALS MADE YOUR GRANNY SQUARE FLOWER PURSE, THE CHICKEN, TWISTED EAR WARMER, A BEANIE, A GRANNY SQUARE SHRUG FOR MY GRANDDAUGHTERS B-DAY THANK YOU AGAIN GOD BLESS

I love this pattern! Just mAde one but used half double crochet stitch and doubled the body and sewed them together with the featers . MAde a thicker potholder.
Cute! I am so making some of these for a family friend. He owns two large chicken buildings that hold hundreds of chickens. As soon as I can persuade my mother to get me yarn I'm going to try it. Keep up the great work!

Ta da it's the Canadian gal here. Made my 1st chicken. I didn't have the correct colors but it's my funny looking Canadian chicken. The body is green, with peach color on it's head & chest with a cream colored beak & a stylin blue eye. Who says chickens have to be white or brown anyway. After all I grew up on a farm in Alberta, Canada & I'll make whatever colored funny chicken I so decide. LOL My gf will love it. Now to made another funny one as it totally needs to have a partner in crime. LOL
