Number one rule to almost everything. Can’t have quality and be fast. Good work takes time. If you do it quickly you sacrifice the quality of the job. And yes a vacuum can get >95%. Grab a pet fur brush like the Lilly brush and you can get all the stubborn thing straws of grass. Then vacuum it up when it’s in a pile.
Bro go and say that to a dealer detailer lmao... i can do a full interior in no more than 2 hours including everything you may see or touch on the interior, carpets and seats extracted, etc
I do a halfass vaccum, then loosen up the dirt with air, then spray it with all purpose cleaner, then throughly go over it with the air. I dont do my final vacuum until after ive cleaned the rest of the car as dirt/grime from doors, cupholders, etc. Will land on the carpet
It looks that good because the carpet is still wet from the steamer. When it dries up if you didn’t agitate the carpet where there stains or gunk it will resurface.
Too many people think steaming is the answer to everything.. extract it. It's common to extract a clean looking carpet and pull out a coffee spill out of it.
I personally vacuum, then use carpet cleaner, a drill brush, and shop vac or extractor vac it up. Steam cleaner seems useful, but I feel like you're missing out on the deep clean that detailing is meant for when you don't shampoo it
I love working with steam, but I am not using it on fabrics in which I have stubborn dirt before I get rid of all the debris. Which in my experience works better with a tornador than with steam. Steam and carpet cleaner is pretty much the last step.
I was struggling with tight carpet spots today. Took way too much time and still didn’t end up satisfied. This video is what I was looking for. Thank you
Detail Geek will literally sit there for 30 minutes with a vacuum on one foot well and itll look spotless , even uses a lilly brush. THEN he uses carpet solution and drill brush. A far more effective way to detail carpet in my opinion.
@@thepretzelball in regards to him im sure his main income is RUclips with his insane amount of followers im sure he probably doesn’t even charge for detailing anymore but for anyone else taking that long would be a waste of time
Vacuum, spray with cleaner, use brush head(wheel) or extractor depending on stains), blow out tracks, under seats, etc, finish interior detail, final vac. Not all carpets work with steam like that.
When it comes to detailing whats good for you not good for others .time is money .but not knocking this video u csn just take whatever u want from it to do a great job
Warm water works, just have to keep recharging out the water, I used a pressure washer to speed it up, and use a light brush to loosen up the salt and use microfibres to absorb up the salty warm water, keep repeating it and it should go away! U can also get salt remover from any Canadian tire, if that fails it crystallizes the salt and brings it up to the surface but it’s hard on the fabric, so use that as a final step
HOT WATER mixed with VINEGAR in a spray bottle. Let its saturate. Dissolve, scrub with a brush, use a wet vac or carpet extractor on it. And repeat as needed. Trust me I learned the hard way and spent way too long trying to clean a fee stupid mats
Kia Soul carpet is a nightmare 😱
I used this process but had to learn it on the fly lol I wasn't prepared.
Maybe don’t buy a Kia soul 😆

Depending on conditions and what people want to pay for your time , but a basic detail is all about speed and detail
@@1ahozzSure but WAD doesn't offer basic detailijg

Omg. Actual reason. ❤ encapsulant does hide alot of soiling though. It looks good but is very soiled still.

That’s why you get a dry/wet vacuum

Removing Stains and cleaning the carpet are 2 different services.
@@DarthYazzieyou can get similar results to an extractor with steamer and vacuum.
Steam freaks

I’m a beginner auto detailer and I was wondering if you have any tips or products that would help me.
That's great advice
You are making mud if don’t vacuum fully… I don’t agree with your process

Encapsulant is amazing. ❤ acts as a stain guard as well since it keeps working after application
A Drill brush (ball) while vacuuming works well
You can also approach with a faster method using a tornador in those more stubborn areas around where the floor mats were laid.
I've used spray starch on the lose debris then vacuum and got great results
What steam cleaner do you use
Thanks for this

Can I do this without a steam cleaner or anything you recommend if I don’t have one?
What kind of steam cleaner is that? I tried some of the Home ones and they suck. They barely blow any steam
What orange cleaner is that
Where are you located?
I use a drill brush and a hand brush breaking the debris apart with agitation
Do you have a separate vac for extraction, or do you use your WD4070 for both dry vac and extracting?
For the final step I would use the extractor to extract the carpet as a final.
I want to know how much time it takes to wash exterior and interior of the car

It's called Bissell steam shot
Namely newer Nissan carpet, some Subaru carpet, Chevy traverse/gmc Acadia carpet, etc.
