Awesome performance by Eric Gales of one of his songs, "Make it There" while playing his 2012 birthday party before going on the road with Lauryn Hill.
He's been recording for over 20 years. The fine "That's What I Am" came out about 2001. Before that he had several records with his brother Eugene (Eric Gales Band) , and one (Left hand Brand) with Eugene and brother Manuel -whose business name was Little Jimmie King. For a brilliant CD/DVD set get " Eric Gales Live". "Transformation" from 2011 is stunningly good. Gales was hard to track for a few years due to personal setbacks, but seems to have made up for any lost time with amazing music.
He has two brothers, also guitarists. In the mid 90's, they all recorded a rockin' album together, all playing loud, over-the-top, rockin' guitar. I think it was called "The Gales Brothers, Left Hand Brand" The late Little Jimmy King (rip) was Manuel Gales and recorded many releases. Eric and Eugene Gales had the Eric Gales Band. Some of their work is definitely worth checking out.
I was given a list of blus guys to check into cuz I really cant stand most blues guys but this dude tho. This fucking guy right here gives me the feels :)
Never heard of this guy but i decided to click the video and the first thing i noticed was 'oh, a lefty', then i noticed he just flipped a right handed guitar upside down without even restringing the damn thing! That's seriously insane, i only know of 1 other person to play like this. Must be really confusing learning all of your scales upside down.
One of my guitar player of all time!
This man is chicken pickin a blues song on an upside down strat. I can’t comprehend this level of talent
mitico !!!! clapton in comune con sto bluesman ha solo il nome.
To say that Gales has the gift would be more than just an understatement. Man, he lays it down!!!
The Rev.Eric Gales! Awesome!

AWESOME Upload, Thank You! EG does not get enuff credit!!!
Eric Gales has Sonny Boy Williamson's face. A natural ability for the blues I guess.
Mr. gales and I might share the same birthday.
He's on Shrapnel records search on Amazon for him.
What a great player. Will Smith could totally play this guy in a movie. The resemblance is uncanny.
Jimi's brother from another mother .
Is it just me, or do strats look better when a lefty's playing one?
That's a strat. The tobacco finished guitar behind him on the stand is a St. Blues
The 'St. Blues' is that Tele-Strat hybrid I see him play? Is that a signature or just something he had customized just for him?
Maybe its just when a lefty is playing a righty strat that it looks especially cool.
Could anyone write the lyrics please? We couldn't find them. It is urgent

voodoo chile
Wow, is this guy playing the guitar upside down? I figured out when he was bending notes in weird positions which is very unconventional.
anyone know what marshall that is?
Anybody knows the chords of the main riff??
Just sit down and figure it out yourself.
***** ok, thanks, im gonna try this
PUTA QUE PARIU
Hahahahaha...everybody think E.G. is left handed...he's right handed playing a right handed guitar upside down.
Did not know that Will Smith played the guitar...
