The way it was written is SO MUCH more beautiful than what he played there… There’s nothing anyone can do to make that song sound better. Anything you add or subtract diminishes it. Why do you think John Mayer, Joe Pass, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimmy Page, Clapton were so adamant about who they play with in their core. If the rhythm section can't follow the performance is garbage.

I grew up with my stepdad as a close friend of Eric’s since they were kids and I use to love watching Eric just jam on an acoustic guitar back in the day just sitting around the living room as a kid.

Two weeks ago he went on the boards in Paks, and I was so lucky to listen to his concert. He's amazing. God bless him, and his guitar. Paks is little town in Hungary, but has a famous International Bluesfestival in every year. And we got the opportunity to know such a world star like him, Beth Hart, Josh Smith and so on. Come and see it next year, in July first week! :)

And as a guitar player myself, watching Eric play, my head does that thing like when you talk to dogs in a high pitched voice and their heads pivot in confusion.

I don't know man, Eric is an amazing player but I don't know if his style would translate well with Maggot Brain or any Funkadelic stuff. He over plays a lot of times and he doesn't stick to the pocket enough to do the George Clinton stuff. Now his style works very well to showcase his immense talent but some songs are just not going to sound as good with his interpretation. I think Maggot Brain is one of them. Call me crazy but....... 🙂

I've seen some of the very best in 50 years and I did. Eric lifts me off the ground to a place I haven't been since Jimi. None of the others had the feel or touch Eric does. None came close. How come I haven't heard of this absolute beast before?
A friend turned me on to his first cd back in the 90's. Very talented man. Look up the first song from that cd called Resurrection!!
From a decent veteran lead guitarist: Eric is beyond amazing! LOVE how he finds a chord groove & hangs with it. Instead of a constant In-Your-Face lead, he takes us on avenues of expression, variety & rhythm. This guy should be a fave of worldwide arenas. LOVE the inverted guitar string style. I'm blown AWAY!
As a musician, I know that feeling that Music gives you, when your band is tight..its better than sex for sure.

I've seen some of the very best in 50 years and I did. Eric lifts me off the ground to a place I haven't been since Jimi. None of the others had the feel or touch Eric does. None came close. If the others have gone as high as the moon Eric travels the universe with the spirit of Hendrix. God bless him and his family.
