that's just dumb lol.
yes
@Dawud Mendez i'd say italian
@Dawud Mendez that's right!
@matt It is! LOL
I'm 13 year late to the party, but I logged into youtube just to upvote this. Thank you for this. :)
05:55 "Now I'm gonna play it little bit faster"
Time to put back guitar in case.
Just pause it and play it at a speed comfortable to you. Speed will come.
It's actually pretty easy, once you get the hang of it;)
Michael Simonsen lol u shut your mouth LIES!!!
MusingsofaJay and what's bothering you? or is someone hacking your account?
Shivjot Rangi lol u do know that was a way of joking right? I meant nothing negative in the shut up, that's how Americans joke when they don't believe something.
Hey guys, i just wanted to tell you that even if it is hard, it is not impossible. Never give up, even if it takes a lot of time! Just practice... Minutes, hours, days, months, it dosen't matter, just keep practicing.
Thank you so much for this video sir. I'm only just getting started but I'm going to do this!
I’m 40, and determined
I have been scouting RUclips for the past two months, for lessons on how to play Metal guitar and shreiky solos.I dont know what happened and now suddenly,I m captivated by this irresistible urge to learn spanish guitar.
Love it! In fact, Spanish guitar is the entire reason I wanted to learn to play guitar.
Same, its so awesome and sounds beautiful
Same here tho
me too ! I bought one in Spain and now It can djent !
Same here as well, the music is phenomenal
I’ve been practicing this for only three days and am picking it up, playing faster and with great enjoyment. Great teacher, maestro.
Watching the video after so many years! This was my first picked lesson from RUclips. Since then, this man is in my heart. His teaching method and accent is awesome. I impressed so many people by playing only this rumba flamenco technique. Thank you so much 🔥🔥🔥👍
This is literally the best basic rumba technique taught online. Great job Marcelo you da man!
Thank you :-) marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/

Marcelo, I'd really encourage you to use your channel more. You're such a great teacher. You'll build a following in no time.
This has been the most useful video I have watched so far! I finally managed to get something decent out of my guitar :D Thank you!!!
Hermetic Kitten can i play it on an acoustic?
Cara, sono italiana e ti seguo da tanto, ed in moltissimi video che guardo (che siano di musica altro) trovo un tuo commento... Qualcosa mi dice che abbiamo un sacco di interessi comuni! Un saluto da Eleonora
Most of us don't need a tutorial video to get something decent out of our guitars.. Too bad
@@raghavsharma3211 don't be a dick dude.
@@raghavsharma3211 Yeah! most of us have born playing the guitar, from the uterus we played the umbilical cord as if it were a guitar, we are cool bro
i usually don't comment. but this has to be the best guitar lesson i have seen. and you are a boss!
Thank you! check out my music and lessons on my site marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/
I checking the whole RUclips guiter teacher's but he is still the best teacher
Thank You😃😃
Been playing guitar for 5 months now. Started practicing this particular thing in August, at about 1 min per day sometimes skipping a few days. Now at the end of October I’m able to do this at his speed in the video.
Memorized the 8 moves within 45 minutes but took quite sometime to build any speed at all.
That’s great! Now grab a pick and try to do the same basic thing you are doing with fingers and I (you) will be blown away at how much your strumming ability has improved.
Great lesson! Thanks!
Excellant mr Marcelo. thank you for your rumba lesson, very clear and step by step teaching, easy to follow for beginer like me, from Asia
Been trying this for 8 days. Started slow just memorizing the steps and now my flamenco sounds good! Helpful video and it style definitely works if you give it enough time and practice.
I just started playing guitar few weeks ago, I practiced from step 1 to 5, I felt in love with that sound comming of my guitar, a sweet enchantment for my ears, and the sensation in my fingers was indescribable.
I am gonna practice hard, flamenco is definitely a style that I want to play.
keep the flame alive my friend
...This lesson turned my guitar from an angst machine to a love machine in a day and a half. My guitar AND my partner in crime below thank you Marcelo!
I got it in 2 hours! cant believe it, this professors maestro es mejor que dios
That is what I call a real Rumba Flamenco. U r an awesome teacher brother. I'm already playing it faster like u now. Thanks for the help.
Amazing teacher! I have never played the guitar before and now I know how to play this. It's amazing! He's amazing!
just wow. mucho gusta.
Gracias! De-mystified something I’ve wondered about for a long time. Very helpful.
Thank you very much for the excellent instructions. It is so nice of you to share it for free for guitar enthusiasts.
Definitely the best RUMBA explanation I have found... Thanks a million! :)
Marcelo is awesome! He's a great player AND teacher!
Awesome lesson. And thank you for showing us at the very beginning of the video what we will learn. That's more enjoyable than when people give you a 5-minute lecture before showing you anything, and then you have to scan through it to see if you want to watch the rest. Yes, time for me to get my classical guitar. That music is beautiful.
Great basic tutorial. Breaks it done perfectly … baby steps lead to good things. Thank you, Marcello.
Its amazing how such a simple chord progression can sound so awesome !!!!
I really want its name

Great teacher! Love the step-by-step pace and the quick reviews throughout the lesson
great lesson fantasic marcello !
Your teaching style is excellent!, I'm ready for the next video or book??
So far he's just about the best Spanish style guitar teacher that I've seen. I see everyone that comes down and he stands out.
thank you very much guitar world and Marcelo Berestovoy for this amazing session. I learned it in just 4 days. it really helps me to achieve my dream of playing flamenco.
Gracias Marcelo, your explanation is straight and to the point. I also enjoyed your side notes as you progressed with the lesson. This video was extremely useful. Mil gracias y adelante con la musica.

-I put my guitar on it's case :D
I’m out!
You showed me a finger picking pattern when I went to the guitar center. I thank you for inspiring me. Love your music😊
Great video one of the best , ive been looking for some flamenco strum tutorial for quite long time and this is a great one! thx for posting it!
When I can play like you Marcelo,
I will never stop smiling :)
Do you play like him now ?

Hello my best teacher ! You are the greatest of all my flamenco internet adviser.
He sounds like a very strict teacher, I am glad this lesson is online. He would have shoved the guitar up my ass for turning up on this video on day 1 of learning how to play. :D. Loved his accent and his patience with us lesser mortals.
6:40... now i'm going to play a "little bit" faster 😂😂
+Maxime Cunningham ha ha hawhat happend whe he is goig faster
+Maxime Cunningham i gave up and did all the taps instead :)

@@Wattakata You can do it. Just be patient...
being a newcomer to the guitar at 67yrs, ihope to learn some spanish style playing . i found your video very helpful. p.s. i own avery nice vincenti tatay guitar made in spain. regards ian.b
How are you now at it? It’s been 5 years since you’ve commented this.
@@hdog0148 she's dead RIP
Master Berestovoy...thank you very much... this lesson is amazing...!
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks
Thank you very much! If emphasis was placed on rythym early on the guitar would be so much more enjoyable. This movement is so efficient once you get the feel down. Plus this is an exercise you can practice even when you don't have a guitar. I now have a very impressive rythym that immediately impresses the listener. Now I'd love to learn more. Thank you very much for a very nice presentation!!
Any time you're ready :-) marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/
totally wish I had a guitar right now
My 1st ever comment on utube needs to go to this man. The best guitar lession ive seen online. Thanks Marcelo
Thank you Ash! marceloberestovoy.com/
Thank you for the lesson really appreciate this
After doing some strums with my folk i realized that it must hurt less with a classic guitar ^^
ofcourse... Im learning on classic guitar, no pain... I started 2 days ago... I think that i will learn this for maybe 2 weeks... Its my first time to play with this technique... Great job for teacher... Thanks
odeon basket You know, I've been playing guitar with a pick for over 30 years and I've only become interested in Flamenco guitar and the style just recently and I tell you, it's probably much easier for me because of past experience but it was still a challenge but once I've gotten the handle on it, it's absolutely super enjoyable! I feel it makes you more one with the guitar because your usuing your fingers directly and not the means of a separate tool (the pick) to play the guitar. BUT, I can't play my fast scales using picado whatsoever, just yet, as I can with a pick. I think picado is something that takes A LOT of serious practice even if you're an experienced guitar player who's always played with a pick.
So the strumming is pretty easy and all but one of the problems I have is that whenever I strum with my thumb I end up scraping part of the skin :(
Great walkthrough! Thanks for sharing this.
finally after 2 weeks of practise
I got this done
thank you.:)
once you learn the rhythm you can just play it on your stomach to practice without the need of a guitar. Cool groove :-)
I was practicing it earlier today and now I'm just lying in bad practicing on my stomach but I keep messing up after step 5 lol
5:48 *me, playing at half speed just to keep up, seeing him speed up the playing* *"O H N E P T U N E"*
That's ok, hang in there, be patient and enjoy the ride :-) marceloberestovoy.com/guitar-lessons/
This is a wonderful lesson! You made it pretty easy!
Thumbs up to you teacher, you taught me well. Now I can play flamenco style👏
Finally after spending plenty of time in few months on practicing now i can play at your speed but couldn't figure out that ending part at 0:18 how you do that?
Many many thanks for the lesson.
few months? how many :D
+TheZortlak around 3-4 months.
Its a rasgueado :)
+sheikh s It's a rasgueo. It's basically movements 1, 2 and 3 of the video, but instead of the thumb ending underneath, it ends above the strings, so you can repeat it really fast. Thumb down, thumb up, all fingers down. Not so difficult.
+TheZortlak I've managed to get the rhythm in the same day, and play really fast in 2 - 3 days. It depends on how familiar you are with the guitar. But it's not that hard as it seems, start really slow and keep it going :)
This guy reminds me of Rambo! haha brilliant tutorial
me too ahahah
mr. marcelo thanks alot.. ur a great teacher.. i really like ur teaching..
This is a fantastic dissection of the rumba. Very clear and easy to follow. Good going Marcelo!!
Yep, after about 10-20 minutes I was able to play some nice rythms...
Now I’m going to play a little faster *
Takes off
I put my guitar away.
thanks Marcelo! the counting made playing this style easier to understand and apply.
Great lesson. Got it just out of "sloppy" territory in about 45 minutes. This pattern will be in my practice bin for a while until it's perfected. Tomorrow we learn Spanish triplets! I am primarily an electric guitar player but wanted to broaden my horizons so i bought a classical guitar. I have to say i love it. It's very rewarding and the amount of songs you can play on it are unending.
my finger is now bleeding... like literally, after 20 minutes of strumming meat separated from nail and now is bleeding... made some progress tho =D
Oh, same here, I don't have a classical/flamenco guitar so I have to use steel strings. My fingers now sting a lot
@@williamkieckbusch7611 Pain is weakness leaving the body, although I find my shoulder starts to ache, as if I've done a workout I think I'm not doing something right lol
@@Deankau Yeah, I completely agreed with you, I just need to take a couple of days before I can practice this style again cause my middle and ring finger got damaged. So I'm just waiting for them to heal, but in the mean while, time to practice some more Queen songs haha
@@williamkieckbusch7611 yh its the pick ups that hurt the most i think, but the pain will condition us to learn to play properly faster, providing we dont get serius injuries lol
@@williamkieckbusch7611 same here, got the pattern in 2 hours with bruit repetion and pure will. My fingers burned off, but I luckily managed to type this with my nose.
He sounds like Ezio Auditorre from ac2
LMAO
Incredibly helpful advice.. thanks a bunch!
Very well defined and easy to learn, lessons by all the guitarist
09:36 so here we go...
where's the video that teaches me how to make women's clothes fly off with my guitar?
I think this is what I needed to make chords less boring.
I think you've come to the right video
Visit a Spanish hair stylist, work out while working on a farm for 3 years and then look for some Antonio Banderas song instructionals for that.
lmao just play wonder wall
Every girl says they find guitarists sexy, it's like how they say funny guys are sexy. Turns out they just laugh at good looking guys' jokes no matter how funny they are.
Thank you so much! This is really fantastic!
thanks for making this so easy to understand, I was able to flamenco pretty well within an hour
I fail at step 5 every time :((
My fingers are bleeding 😂😂
keep going xD
Same only took me 30 min lol
"I've got blisters on my fingers!" screamed Ringo at the end of Helter Skelter.
The best way to learn👌
That's a very usable lesson. Good teacher.
I can't believe it only takes me 4 days to learn the basics & normal tempo(of course not the fastest one). Thank you very much for this, señor...
Why is it that every classical guitar looks like it was bought from a garage sale?
yeah most of them looks ugly
I’ve been playing the guitar now for about 2 year on and off, I noticed that I like to play fast so my progression with standard pop songs 👎 I carnt seem to play slow I don’t use a pick and prefer to use my 🤚. After watching this I realised what I’ve been missing. This is what I now will be learning thanks for the video. Out of the three videos I’ve watched you are the best for sure. 😊
Thank you, friend for posting this. It is a useful video.
Many thanks for a fine lesson.
