INSTALLING KW HAS KIT | BMW F80 M3 / F82 M4 / F87 M2

Thought I would record a video on one of the most common mods for the F8X chassis. KW HAS kit is an affordable option for a more aggressive stance while retaining the EDC functions. These are a relatively straight forward install, but if you have any questions let me know

Recommendation: The spring go first then the plastic cover and pushed down with the handle of a hammer until feel flush with shock

Hey man. Can you run 275/35/18 without a spacer. I installed mine today but I felt like they would hit the spring so I added a 10mm spacer

Hi, I installed the KW HAS kit on my f80 but getting a slight knock noise when turning at really low speeds (5-10mph). Do you have this issue? Didnt install the black part, but not sure if that would be the cause of it.

Has nothing to do with the black dust cover. You need to make sure everything is torqued at load, but it’s more than likely the pinch bolt on the front knuckles. Those bolts are supposed to be replaced after removing, but some people use anti-seize on them and over-torque them by a little to make the noise go away as well. You can search the forums, it’s a common noise that people have covered. If you have any questions just hmu on Instagram as well, I’ll respond faster

If you don’t have the proper press, you can flip the shock upside down and protect the metal top threads. Gently tap off the color with a rubber mallet. It’ll brake free with a few hits, I’ve done it in the past
