It is human nature to modify. We must change, improve, make better. This is the desire of the species. To do it on a car that is more attainable is very entertaining. Cheers from the States.
Great video. Just picked up my G87 and getting ready to install my MSS Hybrid kit. I'm glad to see someone else drop the strut the way I have with my M4. Just loosen the top while everything is assembled instead of dropping everything then using a spring compressor. Thought I was doing something crazy lol.
@@DailyDownshift haven't decided yet hence winter project. Waiting to see what everyone comes out with. I'm watching Dinan's HAS kit and their exhaust at the top of the list.
@DailyDownshift I should probably clarify by explaining that i have a B9.5 Audi S4. But i did H&R lowering springs with a 034Motorsport rear sway bar, and I'm about to install Bilstein B8 shocks. Congrats on the new build project!
I don't have it anymore sadly. I would recommend just calling a dealership and asking for it. They should know exactly what you're talking about if you ask for "top strut tower nut"
how hard are this springs vs the original ones? normaly my syle of driving is fast and im doing trackdays also but its my daily so not sure what springs i should get
At first we bought a replacement, then realized you could just epoxy it back together so we ended up doing that! It’s holding up very strong at the moment.
@@DailyDownshift As per dealer, modifying exhaust, springs will void your warranty. If you want car fixed, you must restore to original and then it will be looked at. I'm talking to dealers now about a 2024 manual m2
Unfortunate, but that's not the way it works with my dealer. Any service or warranty work is done on the car as long as my modifications didn't cause the problem. I've had previous warranty work completed with my BMW dealer and they had no problem with any of my mods. This was on a 2017 M2.
No I think we have it right. There's 3 videos that have them oriented our way and 2 videos that have them reversed. The way we put them in, the fronts match the OEM fronts and rears match the OEM rears. I can't be 100% sure, but they look right to us based on our comparison of OEM parts and based on what some others videos do as well.
Well i dont want to be the wise ass here, but it is pretty clear in the manual. I did the installment wit KW here in Germany. Just to let you know and be safe. ruclips.net/user/clipUgkxBVjiuyo9oUUHNEWk7lzvHan-z26zg3Tv?si=NGOhE6xafOUAA1qx
@@rsr2kx729 I appreciate the video link but some people say one way, others say the other way. Do you have a picture or link to the KW manual? That would be very helpful as I can verify for myself. If I'm wrong then I'll definitely have to swap them in my spare time before the track season.

Nah, alot of work for so little gain.

Yeah but a lot of people modify worse

It’s a lot of work! Nicely done!
Nice to see people do their own mods. I'm doing this and exhaust over the winter while my car is parked.
Very nice, which exhaust did you opt for? Currently still deciding on exhaust for myself

Don't these changes void the warranty though?
Nice Work.
This will definitely be a first mod for me.
Good video! Where are you getting the torque specs from?
You should add 5-10mm to the rear to match front and get a nice "raked" look.
That would help a bit, not sure if I want spacers though.. will have to think about it
Springs were my first mod.
Which did you go for?

it's brave to work like this on the new M2 😂👌🏻👍🏻 excellent 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The fine art of not giving a shit :D Thanks tho!
Can you include the torque specs and specialty socket needed to complete spring swap within the description ? Thanks, nice Vid btw.
Great video, really helpful
Great video. Do you have the exact part number for the front strut nut?
I don't have it anymore sadly. I would recommend just calling a dealership and asking for it. They should know exactly what you're talking about if you ask for "top strut tower nut"
u should get equal lenght headers, would be the first on the new m2
Any recommendations on which to go for?

Fantastic
Bro I'm still curious, what do you do for a living??😅

It’s definitely a noticeably harsher ride after install, but nothing too crazy. Still quite comfortable especially in comfort suspension for streets.
Hey how long did this take you I am think of doing it? Just looking for a time estimate.
2 days mainly because I was working solo for most of it. Did the rears in one day and fronts another day.
Looks amazing, nice work. Do you have to recode or reconfigure the EDC afterwards?
Nope, just plug and play
Update on the b9 s4?
Final components needed for TTE turbo land next week, so install coming soon!
That plastic connecting rod for the sensor can easily be repaired with some epoxy, just remove it first.. Epoxy is stronger than plastic

Alignment?
Yup, did an alignment a couple days later. Went pretty aggressive since I track multiple times a season.
Looks like u need a longer ratchet or at least a pipe for the end of that 1
Yea that could have helped break some of those bolts, we didn’t have tons of leverage.
Don't you void warranty on your new car by doing this?
nah, don't let people scare you

You have put the wrong bumpstops, you have put the fronts on the rear, thatś why they didnt fit.
