Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead is a turn-based survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Struggle to survive in a harsh, persistent, procedurally generated world. Scavenge the remnants of a dead civilization for food, equipment, or, if you are lucky, a vehicle with a full tank of gas to get you the hell out of Dodge. Fight to defeat or escape from a wide variety of powerful monstrosities, from zombies to giant insects to killer robots and things far stranger and deadlier, and against the others like yourself, that want what you have…

The zombie killing spree on rollerblades + the music is like a scene that would be in a zombie movie that doesn't take itself too seriously, and I love it.
Man. Mellifera has come so far from her first days. It hasn't even been that long, really, but she's finally had a chance to fight back and win. Things are probably only going to get harder from here, but at least for now, she's got something going. I'm proud of her.

Big fan of the series! You got me into playing CDDA. I always get a little anxious between long uploads cus I worry Mellifera met an untimely end and you weren’t able to record enough to construct a whole episode out of it!

This was such an incredible ending I loved the punk rollerblade derby at the skatepark while blasting zombies with the AR pistol. That's the coolest scene ever, this should be a movie.

The image of a punk rock girl in roller-skates zooming around a skatepark at night killing a bunch of zombies is INCREDIBLE!
I honestly think it makes it 10 times better that she's complete miserable while this epic, badass battle is playing out!

Genuinely the music was an amazing touch, loved the episode a ton & loved the Melfira art!
The way you fought the zombies at the end was such a movie or video game set piece I love it.
Cdda usually discourages such moments, but you made it look natural.
Talk about use it or lose it, that was a great fight you had. You got me trying out a mall run right now, and it's been especially tough since I've had to clear out about 400 zombies or so so far, and I keep getting feral cop mobs that constantly blow on their whistles. Did manage to kill a necro and I'm in the progress of clearing a path to get the RV out though.
Hope your medical issues are doing okay, and that you're past the worst of it.

One of the things I love most about this game, is how things just work out, didn't plan to go to the skate park, but it turned into a completely badass situation that fits your character background perfectly. Rock on punk rock girl! >:D

Omg I was so excited to see this episode go up and you did not disappoint the skate park section had me grinning ear to ear from start to finish that was amazing!
WHAT an adventure and the shooting gallery zombie gore rink was just...I had visions of slow mo guns akimbo roller derby zombie shoot mashing.
Mixed with that soundtrack, it made for quite a sight. I think THAT'S what is keeping me so enrapt in this series, it forces me to use my imagination. With your dulcet tones and choices leading the way, my brain is filling in the gaps and it is WONDERFUL!

hey worm girl idk if you already have but you should look into setting up your autopickup settings, i always have rocks and arrows on autopickup it minimizes so much button clicking and menu traversal, prolly one of the best QoL features of the game, anyway i love your content

This is why I love this game! You start out as a normie who's out of their depth and become a legend capable of leveling entire city blocks and making your own rules! Worm Skater Girl Forever!
Dam this is the first time a "zombie apocalypse" has been about the zombies getting wiped out.
We're ahead of the difficulty curve because we got weapons and armor early, but the zombs won't stay low level forever.

It seems that, for all the mounting successes and positives, you lack still what you had not at the beginning; a friend.
The apocalypse can be a lonely, lonely place.
The sudden good art surprised me, Now I want to see updates if she were to wear different clothing or armor, the character is drawn both pretty and cool the same time. (Also learned a lot how to modify vehicles thanks to you tinkering the kayak)
Ending to the vid felt so old school. Got me thinking to old movies and stuff I'd imagine.
Grinding rails while blasting zombies with a handgun is some "my-cousin-Throckmorton" level shit.
That ending fight was one of the raddest things I've seen in CDDA.

My best friend walked into the living room as I was watching this.
Him: Oh, it's that zombie game you play.
Me: Yeah, Wormgirl does a roleplaying lets-play where she's really informative about the game's mechanics.
Him: She doing good?
Me: Well... she's doing a quest for an anarcho-collectivist to get him some information he left behind. She's run into a hoard. In order to take them all out without them touching her, she's put on some rollerblades and is skating around a skate rink as she shoots them all down.
Him: And that works!?
Me: It is definitely one of the strategies that this game allows for, and I don't think she's taken a hit.
Him: Wild!

I can’t believe going by waterway was the correct choice. You couldn’t pay me to get anywhere near the water during a horror scenario. I’ve seen too many ways that can go wrong. I thought it was going to be a long slog through town.

This was sublime.
Your videos and advice that I've read has really helped me get a grip on this game, and got a character past Summer for the first time. Love the narrative you've created around your character, also, and it's done a lot to show me that you don't need a busted build to survive in this game.
Though, I'll say it's simply too fun to not play as a magic caster, and I can't not roll up a Magiclsym wizard for the majority of my runs. But that's just years of playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup and other roguelikes giving me the incurable urge to blast monsters with fireballs and magic beams
