Thank you Amy I struggle with Peperomias as you know, and I'm keeping them fairly dry now. As they're non toxic it's a great genus too for pet owners. My P. Scandens is REALLY growing and cascading down from my shelf - do you have one? I'd so like to think I have a variety that you don't haha ! (Ebay!) I just don't get that they rot so easily yet they prefer a humid terrarium and root in water - sigh ! Your prop box looks so pretty too !! 💚🌿

Hi Marion, I hope keeping them dryer helps! I’ve had some that I’ve let get SO dry and although I wouldn’t let them get like that every time, I definitely think they bounce back from that much easier than overwatering, but I agree the advice online is to keep them moist with humidity which I don’t agree with, unless their much less common terrarium varieties
Ahh your Scandens sounds amazing! I’m afraid I do have one 😂😂 I have a green one, they definitely seem like quite a chill Peperomia 😊
Thank you! I’ve been a bit obsessed with my prop box this year 😂 thank you for watching 🥰🌱💚

@@Amysgreenishthumb I jumped the gun when I wrote that, because I hadn't seen to the end and you had a prop Scandens in the propbox grrr.. oh but mine's variegated !! 😇 Yours all look amazing though, and most of mine look a bit flagged out... 🙂

Nice video! Do you know if the various P. caperata varieties like Frost and Quito maintain their coloration when leaf-propagated, or do they revert like variegated types?
And to continue raving about P. incana…. My plants at home are getting pretty bright light in a west-facing window, but pre-pandemic I had a huge one at work about a foot from a north-facing window and at least 8 feet from the overhead fluorescent lights and it still grew and bloomed well (though it did lean towards the fluorescents). I also don’t bother to pull them away from my windows during winter and, again, they don’t seem to care. I think this might be the toughest, most adaptable plant I own.

      Thank you very much! 💚💚
That’s a good question! The frost that I’ve leaf propagated has kept its silver colour, and I’d guess that ones like the Quito do too as when I’ve seen the more colourful ones online or in shops they look like they’ve been leaf propagated, but I’ll have to get one and try one day! I’m propagating some variegated watermelon peps atm, no new leaves yet but I’m keen to see if they revert or not!
That’s so cool! I definitely think a lot of Peperomia are happy in less light but I like having some that are fine to be blasted with sun 😂
I think some of the more succulent ones are probably okay with a bit of a draft but already I’ve noticed my prop box getting quite cold and there’s a bit more rot happening, I need to move it soon I just don’t know where 😂
Thank you for watching and commenting 🥰🌱
