This looks like such an adorable little game. Love the animation of the arrow striking the heart at the end when your points finish adding up. It’s also not very often that you see a game about a girl trying to win a guy’s affection; usually it’s the other way around. Also, “wedding march” for the “level completed” music? Geez, slow down you two, you just met each other!!
not only was this naka's first game, it was haroshi Kawaguchi's first score. it was also his only home game soundtrack, as he was reasigned to the arcade devisions (mainly am 1 and 2), with his original job ultimately given to tocuhebo yiwabbo.
I wouldn't go on to say it was Hiroshi Kawaguchi's _only_ home game soundtrack, as he also composed music for "Sword of Vermillion" and the Japanese-only "Rent-A-Hero" on the Genesis/Mega Drive years later. Edit: Now realized he also composed music for "Pit Pot" on the Master System as well.
I love the happy music that plays when she dies. Also her drowning animation. Also how the counter is her boyfriend running away from her and to the arms of another woman. It's all so great.
I always keep thinking that someone should make a hack out of this with Sonic characters. Amy is the girl the player is playing as, Sonic is her love interest, and perhaps Sally or Rouge is the rival girl.
Or maybe a hack where you play as Alex Kidd competing with his brother, Egle/Igul for the affection of the Princess from Alex Kidd in Miracle World (forgot her actual name).
@@sendingpostcardsfromaplane3314 I mean, you _really_ have to look. Back then, though, everyone cared about making a creative video game. Now it is all about milking money from people and nothing more for the most part.
Creative game lol? Its about a 4 years old girl who to have her bf back she gets flower ad gets hurt for him and if you fail he drop you... itsa very mysogynist game
+Futanari Hermy Oh for fuck sake. Go back to Anita you boring activist wannabe. Can't anyone make a light hearted game with a non-serious premise anymore? Besides, she takes on freaking bears.
Before Phantasy Star, and Before Sonic, there was Girl's Garden.

Never knew there even was a system by Sega before the Master System lol.
Looks pretty NES/Famicom.
Not even-the hardware is actually identical to the ColecoVision and MSX, as all three were built using the same common electrical components.
This game has really good graphics compared to everything else I've seen for this console.

Mimk Koko Yeah, I know.
did you know, this game is the very firest datting simulation ever made
Mimk Koko You know, it probably is.
Because back then people use to just pick up chicks in their cars.
Now that would be considered kidnapping.
i don,t know what to say about thgat
If I could vote to give one man the power of God, it would be Yuji Naka. He'd make such a splendid world for us all
Not ever since I heard about the stuff he did to X-Treme.

germanname1990 Never thought of that. Good idea!

A classic.
Gaming has changed so much from then... Back then, games were actually creative.
+DrDevil FX They can still be creative, you just gotta look in the right places.
Sending Postcards From A Plane Crash I suppose you're right. This is especially the case for games released by companies such as Nintendo.
DrDevil FX Well we'll see what they have for the NX, kind of let down by the Wii U's library.
yeah

A girl collects flowers so that she can get a boy... I don't see the misogyny here.
@@handsomebrick it's actually the opposite
@@tomasds1 A boy collects flowers so he can get a girl? Or it's the opposite of misogyny? What do you mean?
