I was there in January for only three days. I enjoyed it so much that I am going back for seven nights. Literally, just packed my bags and departing for the airport in about 6 hours. It is a magical place!!!!
What a fantastically detailed video. I have been getting so confused with the names of various POI. Now putting it together with the visuals that your video provided is helping me figure out my own trip.
i just came back from rapa nui and it was such a magical experience. just sayin tho, there are way cheaper options for tours that i booked when i arrived
There is so much to do on Rapa Nui!! 9 days was more than most but I felt like we got to see most of what the island has to offer. It’s a great trip and I hope you get to go soon!!
I was bagging on Marc shields video about living on the island and saw him on yours, I'm planning a trip out there hopefully in sept. octo. for the eclipse so now that I know he is a tour guide I don't want to see him, he probably won't remember me though, it was a video I viewed right before yours.
Hey! We write about this in our Easter Island guide: goingawesomeplaces.com/guide-to-visiting-easter-island/ We essentially carried over what we learned in the rest of Chile where we learned that it's not mandatory but common practice. At restaurants for example, we tipped 10%.
the tipping culture is 10%, coming from canada this was very nice lol...usually they would include the tip already and ask you if its okay and 10% is nothing compared to tipping culture in canada which is like 15-20%
My husband and I took our daughter in 2015 to see the tree lighting. However, due to BLM protesting, we didn’t get to be close enough nor could we take the subway bc grand central station was shut down due to such heavily police enforcement. All lives matter and as a Christian I am upset again at the ignorance and disrespect shown at a traditional event ruined by greed and selfish victimization

You must be lost. NYC is 5000 miles northeast of Easter Island.
