Your support means a lot! The prices for the necklaces were fair, and the shop owners were friendly. The prices for the necklaces are much cheaper than they are in the US. However it really depends on the quality of pearls. They really are willing to negotiate so be sure to do that

How long does it take to drive around the island of Tahiti? What did you end up paying for the rental car all together and for how many miles if you recall?
We did it during our entire first day. All the prices are listed in the video I do not remember exactly off the top of my head

I lived in French Polynesia for a year on Huahine and Takaroa but I never spent much time on the main island, love this! I had to help translate for a lot of tourists because the language barrier is real out there.

Hey there! It's all about what works best for you and your travel style. Personally I do not stay in many hotels. But hilton has a great portfolio so I've stuck with them
Why is the beech sand black? Are there frequent volcanoes? What about earthquake, is Tahiti on an earthquake belt?
The black sand beaches of Tahiti are created by the erosion of volcanic rocks. The island is located in an active seismic zone, but it is not located on a tectonic plate boundary.
