For anyone who’s curious there was no need to cut an RE-root these poor little haworthias especially the pups. Every pup removed (except 1) had its own set of roots and was ready to be planted directly into soil. The roots that were cut on the parent plant were almost all alive and thriving. Those plump red roots were a good sign of a healthy root structure. Since haworthias like to grow in the winter, those roots store nutrients away for later use. After the nutrients is used up the roots will turn white and almost feel crumply like paper. Anyone thinking of cutting roots like this should absolutely expect to lose a few plants as you’re ensuring the plant no longer has access to water or nutrients. If you CAN just leave it alone and keep the (very fragile) roots in dirt. Pot them up and they’ll do great. A lot less work and it’s a lot easier to start up roots from a single root than no roots.
@@shubhi.saxena yup they were. Don’t treat your plant like this if you have this. Just leave the roots. They said in the video to scrub to remove mold and fungus and if you are experiencing root rot then yes do exactly what they did in the video. But yeah under normal circumstances where the roots looked like the video absolutely do not repeat this.
I bought a dozen succulents online and this one was a free gift. They all died 4 years ago, but that one plant has given me hundreds of babies. It's my pride and joy. Thank you for the information ❤

I thought so too! So I planted them in soil. Nothing happens so I thought well eff it.. and but it in a cup with a tissue paper that I keep wet, and within 1 week you could see roots forming! No sign of root rot!
This is amazing! I will do this too as my Zebra plant seems to have dried leaves now. Do I need to cut all roots before I transplant my Zebra plant in water even if I see some healthy ones? Can they be kept in water forever, or do I need to put it back in soil after sometime? Thanks!
Great video! I have a zebra plant that wont open up but its green and looks perfectly healthy. Ive had it for over a year now. Any suggestions to get it to open up?
Evelyn Perfect wow I didn’t know. My zebra just died, had i knew i wud try the water method n didn’t have to bother with this watering business. It is rotten now , i am just waiting for magic to happen just incase sth new comes out. Neither did my propagations worked

Hello friend, I place them in the table indirect sunlight as I showed in this video. I let them enjoy 2hours sunlight in the morning. And all the growing tips are found in this video. Thank you so much for watching🌿 Evelyn 💚

My zebra plant's roots are not coming ,it has been nearly 2months ,and now it started rotting,i have planted the baby zebra plant in soil...can you please help me
Maybe plant was in shade when you bought it and you placed it directly in sunlight or vice versa. Also let soil dry completely then water again just enough to make soil wet. I hope this helps.
Youre right, i bought them at a local garden shop here in the philippines and the seller told me that she propagated it and placed it in a shaded area maybe thats why my haworthias babies are turning brown. Thank you soo much it was indeed a huge help for me. I just started collecting haworthias for like a week. I hope that you upload videos on how to take care of haworthias. Kuddos to you my friend👍🏻

Hello Roanne, i recommend to change the water don't wait til the water turn dirty ( i do this twice per week), clean the glass or bottle you use. Clean the roots parts using toothbrush, then use old CD as lightning and place at the window indirect sunlight. My zebra plants are growing so healthy and in good condition in water, i dont have any plant problem.
Yes, you can use and it’s work well with *Plant* if you want better growth I recommend to use rainwater for them. Thank you so much for your time and watching 💚
