This is exactly what I needed as my brand new haworthia came with two pups growing from near the centre. I'll now attempt to remove and propagate them! Thanks so much for the clear explanation.
I’m so glad I found this video. My partner got me a little zebra boi for my first plant and for months it wasn’t changing or producing little pups. Then this morning I tripped while moving him from water and found out that THE PLANT HAD NO ROOTS WHATSOEVER I’m using the full plant as a base and just propagating it so that it has some root Hopefully I’ll get a tiny zebra pup soon
My manager gifted me a haworthia last summer, and I've managed to keep it growing until now, despite me being very inexperienced with plants. I've been thinking it's getting big for its pot, but I was nervous to try propagating. Your video really helped walk me through the process and give me the confidence to give it a go. 😊 Thanks for the great video!
Thank you for this! I got a zebra hawthornia last Christmas and it has two pups. I wasn't sure how to propagate them and this video was extremely helpful.
I needed this so much! I've been having a plant from my mom and it has recently sprouted from the top and looked like a baby plant but it took forever to even find out what kind of plant it was. Now I now how to make more! And I'm glad cause I didn't know not to water them right away! Wish I could post a pic.
I'm so glad I found your channel. I will be watching you all the time. Because all the plants you got on here I got succulents especially.. I have a question.I have a little worty pups.. Should I wait for them to dry out for 1 or 2 days or could I plant them right away Great channel!!
so I'm a fairly new succulent owner I know they get flowers every winter and I know they get pups every so often but I now have the pups growing from the flower stem... This is my odd observation. Have you seen anything like that before
How big do the little pups have to be to survive? I see one of yours was pretty small, did it do well? I ask because my zebra plant has 5 small pups, and I'd love to try this but I'm not sure if I should wait or not. Also, is this time of year okay? Thanks!
It can be quite tiny. Smallest of mine is about 2cm, as long as you have patience to let the wound dry and do not overwater once it's planted (which I am often guilty of).
Hey Nitin! I have never used it before myself so I can't really say. I don't see it being an issue. It would be interesting to test it to see if/how much it helps.
Thanks for this video! What are the general light/water requirements for this plant? I have some that's not doing too well. I tried propagating some of the little offshoots, but I put them in wet soil, so now I know what I did wrong there. But the main plant doesn't seem to be growing, so I'd love any advice you can share!
Hi Madeline! I'm actually going be releasing the care video for this plant very soon. Next Wednesday at the latest. But basically, they want bright indirect light rather than full sun like most succulents. (North window is perfect!). And they like to be watered only when the soil is completely dried out, otherwise they can get root rot.
I have one of these that has spit into two plants but share the same pot. Anyway they flower from both of them. Unfortunately my daughter broke one of the flowers off however the other one has a nice big group of what looks like a miniature plant midway up the stem. All the flowers or seed pods have shriveled up and the stem is receding. Anyway my question which I haven't been able of find anything online about propagating a new plant from this plant like flower. Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how would I go about doing so.
It's a good video, but not showing properly about the Potting Mix you are using?? Please ,Always remember to say about potting mix in detail for every plat propagation
I got my very first 3 pups today. I feel so happy!

@@simracingchannel7691 it was just an idea

I'm so glad to hear that!
I got a zebra hawthoria a couple months ago, and it’s growing a little pup inside it- so glad you covered this! Thank you!
Thank you... This helped me to propagate the babies which are popped out of my beautiful howorthia

The zebra plants are my absolute favorites!🌵
I can see why! They really are great plants! 😃💚
Any advantage to leaving them out of soil for a few days before planting up?

Thank you! I got one of these lil teeny babies and now it's busting out of a 10x8 deep pot haha
So helpful!! Love your haworthia too, so healthy!
Thank you so much Mykie! I'm really glad it was helpful!
Excellent video. what type of dirt should I use.

Thank you so much!! I have so many pups and I wanna gift some to my friends 💜
You have beautiful model hands!
Excellent dear.
I like way of talking
Thank you!
Thank you so much for the info and God bless!
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Love this plant...
Any updates on how these plants ended up growing?
How do you water them? Do you keep them on the same schedule for watering as the parent plant?
May i ask what kinds of soil u used ?
Very helpful ! Just got one for Xmas and I love it
Awesome, thanks, I really loving it
How big should you let the pups get before separating them from the mother plant? I have one that’s about one inch tall right now..
Thanks 👍🌿
You're welcome! 😃

Thanks Sam for the video, just wana check, can we apply some of the cutting aid powder for faster rooting..?

@@mindtheleaves9914 Thanks for the info! They're in a north-facing window right now, so I'm probably over-watering. I'll keep a lookout for the video!
@@madeline-mimi-knick9814 Hey Madeline, I just released that zebra Howarthia care vid if you wanted to check it out. 🙂🌿
I have a haworthia but it's barely growing, do I have to feed it or what?
These plants are super slow growing. They also have dormancy periods.
Just found your channel
What if my plant broke off the stem (kitty did it!). Can I reply with no stem or root?

I'm here a little late haha, but where did you get those rocks??
I'm about to separate three pups from my haworthia and those rocks are perfect!
garden stores have the rocks. Lowes carries them as well.
Omg mine has them only in the leaves!!! Im catching this vid in searching how to actually remove them and when ❤ lol
How long will it take to root? I planted a pup in soil last month (I think).
Same and it only took a couple of weeks to get little roots and they haven't grown since but I just think it takes time
Shouldn't you remove the soil from the plant first?
❤❤❤❤

Errr .. I just tried this and the pup took most of the roots from the entire plant
