I hadn’t seen your vlogs for a while due to some problems with my husband’s health (he passed away last July) so watching you again has made me feel happy again. You are a fantastic mom and feeling tired is all but normal. I love your family. You know, I taught my kids to put away their toys, I never did it for them. It worked out just fine.
You are doing an amazing job , Ashley. You are right , we all experience burnout, especially when you have young children. My children are grown now. When they were small , I always tried to make some time for myself. I am also a Woman of faith and God and the Bible is where I sought strength and renewal. I was part of a mom’s group at my church that was a great resource and help. There was built in childcare there. I know times are tougher than they were when my kids were small but God has never changed. We love all of you and I will pray that your strength will be renewed. Have a great week. FYI Dennis’ smile is so cute. Love the Rathbun Family😎
Such a beautiful vlog! Lee is SO GROWN UP oh my goodness - that knife for him to cut his own strawberries is so clever! Thank you for sharing a look into your gorgeous home - its been so wonderful having more of a connection over on mighty networks with everyone - such a fantastic idea! Dennis’ laugh throwing the stickers ❤️💕❤️💕
Thank you for the vote of confidence - it means a lot! I know right? They chopped off a couple inches of hair, but added on a couple of years. How is this possible?!

Thank you for sharing this video and for your content on this channel. I’m a mom of two small kids as well and have experienced the mom burnout. It’s rough but I think you are just fantastic for being able to do all you do in a day and vlog.
That was a real video and one that ten years down the road you will be glad you have documented. I have so many memories/pictures/videos of outings and vacations and fun, but I wish I had more of everyday life! And yes, burnout here...day to day it changes from parent burnout, to pandemic burnout, to all sorts of others. But definitely there....
And...not doing bad as a mom?!?!....you are a FANTASTIC MOM!! You are a natural with those boys and they are wonderful kids...you’re doing so awesome Ashley!! And...I cracked up when you said in your not amused tone “Joe is so fun to play with” 😂🤣
Great video! My goodness your boys are so sweet. Lee's hair style and Dennis' goofy laugh. 😍 What an amazing mom you are. And that playroom is epic. You're right that they have the same playhouse as my daughter does in our back yard (just a different colour). I yawned with you along the way. Hope you get some rest soon, and hope Joe is doing well. Lots of love.
Hehe sorry for the yawns! Our basement playroom has been a life saver this winter - we're very fortunate! Thank you for your continuous love and support, my friend!

More days then not, I had days like the one you so honestly showed when my 3 kids were little and I was a full stay at home parent. I stayed at home full time for 11 years, but those younger years were the longest and best all at the same time. No matter what season, parenting is no joke and you are an amazing parent, wife, and person. I hope things can get back to somewhat normal soon as the weather gets warmer....that helped break up the week and days when I had ECFE (Early Childhood Family Education) classes and playdates with other parents at the park etc. It gets lonely and isolating....you are doing a great job, even during those countless long days. YOU GOT THIS!!!!
Your message at the end hit home - hard. I’m currently struggling through work-life-pandemic burn out big time and each day is a struggle. Hang in there - you’re doing great. Love all your videos especially a day in the life ones.
Omg, watching the boys is my favorite. I could use a weekly vlog of just them playing and being silly ❤ Also, Lee's quiet little voice was still enough for my Alexa to go off 🤣
Another wonderful video Ashley! You’re so right as a fellow mom I love just watching a regular day in the life! Kind of makes me want to just record one of my boys and I just go watch back on for memories. I take lots of pictures but often forget to take videos and like you said, looking back and even just seeing the simple moments are the best! I have very much felt this parent burnout. I really appreciated you sharing that not every day do you feel like you wake up happy and ready to tackle it with kids. It can be so easy to feel guilt with that, but in reality it’s normal and even moms are just human. Especially now when so much still a whole year later feels uncertain. Last week I felt burnout being down with seasonal allergies and we didn’t do our sensory play and my normal activities and I had to just be ok with it. Instead we just made some extra water beads threw in some spoons and also did an outside “car wash” which was just some dollar tree dish soap and hose haha! Sometimes what helps get me out of a burnout is to just lean in and accept I’m in it but it won’t last forever and to maybe try something new! Even yesterday I made a new treat which helped. And Starbucks runs are always a help too :). I got the latte you tried to get yesterday and it was pretty tasty! I deff would get it again, hope you still enjoyed the one they made for you! Anyways you’re deff not alone in the burnout right now, ❤️. Hang in there as we are all truly in this together and there are lots of mamas standing in it with you!!
So happy to have crossed paths with you, Kassandra. I love sharing in mom life's ups and downs with you! I can't imagine the struggle of seasonal allergies. I'm glad you gave yourself some time and grace - those two sweet boys totally understand. AND it looks like its just what you needed because from what I've seen on instagram, you are back and better than ever with some awesome St Patty's activities - totally inspired! Thank you for the support, my friend, sending it right back to you!
My husband and I just watched that Seeyareelsoon video last week! Too funny. Lee looks so grown up with his haircut! You're doing great Ashley, you and Joe are awesome parents!
I can definitely relate to feeling burned out. I hope you find encouragement, Ashley! I find that adding new things, even something little, to my life helps with feeling burnt out. For example, it could be a simple change in routine or a new hobby. I do not have all the answers and it might not work for everyone, but it could be worth a try. Also, writing in a gratitude journal helps with feeling burned out. It helps when you change your focus from what you are tired of to what you’re blessed to have! just my two cents... :-) Have a great week everyone!!
These are wonderful suggestions, Ellen, and I will definitely be implementing them into my routine. I agree - switching things up a bit, can really make a big difference and focusing back on gratitude is the ultimate mood booster. Thank you so much! Wishing you a great week as well!
I love how kind you were with the starbucks let down!! Thank you for being understanding ;D You are an absolutely incredible mom and thank you for sharing your essence with us. It's been tough, no doubt. Love to you and your wonderful family
Thank you for your honesty at the end. I feel the same way a lot times, and then feel guilty for feeling that way. Social media makes it worse, because so many other moms only put out the best parts of their life. It's refreshing to know I'm not the only stay at home mom that feels isolated and burnt out.
I have been really struggling with seeing the "perfect" curated posts all over social media, but I'm doing my best to reframe my reaction to them and try to focus and follow more like-minded moms on those platforms. You are certainly not alone, Lisa! Thanks for keeping me company in this journey.

The Tsum Tsums appearing made my day! I’m having serious burn out in general and struggling to just let the chores slide and get back to doing the things that are important to me like working out, eating healthy and spending time with my horses while not feeling guilty about leaving my husband to watch the kids or not putting in extra time at work.

I really enjoyed this vlog! As a new mama to a 3 month old, I'm coming to terms that I won't get as much as I aspire to get done in a day. It's a tough realization, though. Which card game were you guys playing at the end?
I'm so glad! It's been over four years and as you can see it is still difficult to come to terms with, but there's no way around it. I often have to self-reflect and ask myself why it bothers me so much, is it for appearances? Well, get over yourself, Ashley. If its for your well-being and the well-being and function of your family and home, prioritize where you can and it will all work out. :)
We're playing rummy! Have you ever played?
@@AshleysLemonadeStand I've played Rummikub, which is the board game version of the card game. You're making me want to break out the board game (or a deck of cards) and play again!
What card games do you and Joe play?
LOVE THAT YOU WERE WATCHING SEEYAREELSOON 😂
love lee s new haircut
Thanks! It took us awhile to get used to it haha So used to our shaggy haired little boy.
@@AshleysLemonadeStand both look good, but "new" is always good
Um, when did Lee turn into a TEENAGER!!!!
Uhhh I was hoping someone could answer that question for me! :)
Why does Lee look like such a big boy?!?!?!
Uhhh that's what I'VE been asking!!! It's my fault, I had his hair chopped off and it added like three years to him. My baaaabbbyyyy!!!
