  • Including tuning and tuning stability test before stopping the watch!
Too bad I forgot it was already in E-standard tuning, and thought it was half-step down of mistake leading to another minute or two of wasted time!
I can do this another time where I know the tuning beforehand xD

Socks + old strings with crooked ends on the floor are a dangerous combination!

That guitar certainly has some age to it from its looks, but I bet it still sounds amazing!

It's my favorite guitar, I built it from Warmoth parts, painted it myself, and it has got a PLEK machine fret treatment so it plays god tier.

Killer tone and effect. I love the sound that comes through the camera. How did you make that sound so amazing?😀

I have a condenser microhone connected to an interface mixer that then goes straight to my GoPro with a line cable :)

A trick I learned from some 2006 youtube video I can't find anymore: don't cut the ball ends, just feed the string through the tuning pegs and cut the string where the saddle meets the long screws (the ones you turn to loosen or tighten the string on the bridge). This way you don't leave sharp string ends or have to wind them on the peg.
I 'm using 52 gauge strings, I think with Schaller M6 you could fit up to 54 through the tuning peg.

this approach also means you don't need locking tuners

Well, this doesnt really work on Daddario strings, because the non-ball end still needs to be cut because it has some unwound parts of the strings. :)
So it will take almost as much as time as cutting the ballend.

@@BlazonStone yeah, same with Ernie Ball strings. As for the speed, give it a try.

One day, I removed the neck from a floyd Rose equipped guitar, fitted a baritone neck to it, downtuned it to G standard with heavier strings ,recompensated the string tension with stronger springs and set it up to play. I haven't had to change the set up since, but I have since read on the internet several times that this is virtually impossible to do and you have to have a guitar tech do it instead of just be an amateur guitar player with some idea about how physics works. I had no idea I wasn't supposed to be able to do this. Sorry everyone.
Still not something to do mid-gig for either of us tho' 😉

Guitar techs are not magical beings able to do things anybody else canont do :)
Anything they can do, any guitarist can learn to do.
      But it aint easy
