Elliott McCombe, é realmente lamentável que tenha sido gravado apenas esse pequeno trecho para ser inserido numa cena específica do filme, mas mostra a incrível interpretação de Suzanne Murphy para esta belíssima aria. Thanks.

If you live to compare yourself with others you will always be pitiful of yourself and you will be setting yourself up for failure. Mark Twain said “Comparison is the death of Joy”, don't lose your joy by comparing yourself to others.

Actually, Salieri's operas were considered among the finest at the time of their compositions. Thanks to the popularity of Amadeus, Salieri's works are seeing a grand resurgence, as people are no longer seeing them as something inferior. I own many CDs and there are a few where Salieri pieces are mixed in with Mozart's, and I'd be lying if I said I noticed a great drop in quality. I can tell a Mozart piece, because I'm familiar with Mozart's touches and his special tricks, but I don't think Salieri is beneath him, at least when it comes to opera. Mozart and Salieri were both great in that they had a deeper understanding of the voice, than later opera composers.
