You should've done the whole review turned around.
That's what I was hoping for.
Then we would miss the glorious Melonstache. I can't wank my doodle without looking at that glorious stache
Agreed with the sound of him talking reflecting off the wall for extra texture
Like some Blair Witch shit.
That would actually be kind of funny
Anthony, just because Justin is turned around doesn’t mean he can’t hear you. Please be sensitive about his feelings.

Saying 20/20 has bad production is crazy ngl. L take
Seriously. Might be the worst take I have ever heard.
Truly! 20/20 had quite a few singles, mirrors personally being my least fav, and it wasn’t too far a stray from his first two solo projects. Me and dad had this album playing for a good a while, but “suit and tie” “take back the night” and “cabaret” were my personal favs that I’ll listen to in rotation
Bad production is not the same as bad album

Plus didn’t he literally drop a thatistheplan video (taylor derangement syndrome) a bit ago? Anthony is killing it in 2024
lol. w thumbnail
And honestly I think 20/20 Experience Justin is on the level of his early-mid 2000s output. That album was so great and Mirrors is probably my favorite song that dude ever did
W take, 20/20 experience was peak 2010s pop
Weird to heard Fantano hate on that album. The deep cuts are the best part
@@JacksonDreyerfantano is edgy. He can't enjoy a pop album if it isn't from 2000s at least
It was decent, but it was no where near his classics Justified and Future Sex.
Sexy Back and Senorita alone are way better than anything on 20/20
@@RebornLegacy mirrors is just as good as either of those songs. I personally can’t stand sexy back and never could lol
"Timbaland's production is overrated"
BANNED. GET THIS GUY OUTTA HERE.
He meant on "THAT" album specifically. It didn't match the ambitiousness of the songs themselves
@@saintkevinofficial that's exactly what I mean. His production on songs like Tunnel Vision, Suit & Tie and Don't Hold The Wall is some of my favorite work from him.
It really is. and has been for a long time. Gone are the original days of Aaliyah and Missy Elliott. Now it's boring cookie cutter pop.
2020 experience part 1 is a masterpiece and I won't be told otherwise
Part 2 gang
Part 2 rocks as well. Part 1 is goated tho
Yeah it still is really great

I love the frequency of the recent Cal appearces
"infinity Sex" might be the most song title of all time.
What? Lol
@@KYLEJT that’s the joke, it’s not supposed to make sense lol
Say it again...
There are only so much artists that can justify an album with more than 12 tracks
Fantano's been upping his thumbnail game lately, he's reasserting his review score's dominance😳
The album is amazing, people just like to hate on Justin nowadays. There are a few skips, but overall the production is top tier, his vocals are great and the songs are catchy and have variety in style, so I strongly encourage everyone to listen for themselves instead of going off of this review!
Absolutely agree!!
Just because he couldn't give you Infinity Sex doesn't mean you have to give it a 4.
Dude 20/20 experience is one of the greatest modern pop albums, fight me.
fr bro i can't believe he's still dogging on it. the production at the very least is top notch
He seems to be allergic to good tales lately, but that was the nail in the coffin. 20/20 was a MASTERPIECE and IMO, AOTY 2013.
I was really hoping Anthony was going to treat each one of the 20/20 albums as separate entities considering the first one was WAY better than the second.
@@ryanredding1533 ya me too. i really hate it when ppl use the 2nd album as an excuse to hate on the first one.
also tunnel vision is probably one of the best songs timbaland has ever produced. The layers are fantastic
Is Justin taking a piss in the album cover?
Its always about Timbersnake in one way of another
Easily your worst rating ever was giving The 20/20 Experience Part 1 a 5. That album is nothing less than a strong 8.
"the musical equivalent to getting naked while it's cold outside" is INSANE
I personally enjoyed the album a good amount but do understand the gripes Fantano has with record. I was a fan of the production. I like to think it was a mix of JT doing some of what people have been known to love him for, while dabbling in some new sounds he hasn’t really done. For me it was about 6.5-7 out of 10. Also king of surprise he disliked sanctified as much as he did. Loved that track. But as always difference of perspective and opinion is what makes these interesting after all.
Im a fan of Jt, but yeah he played it safe. Most songs are just catchy and fun nothing special. Don’t expect a new futuresex anytime soon
Sorry but you're not true a fan. EITIW is amazing. I have been a fan of Justin since his NSYNC days. Even though his MOTW album is my least favorite of his, there are still a few songs that I really like on there. I also went to see JT in concert while he was promoting that album. Real fans stand by their favorite artists just saying.
There are very few people on planet Earth who will proud and outloud say they are True Justin Timberlake Fans, and then also commit the very odd and unnecessary act of uplifting and defending his mediocrity. But whatever gets you to sleep at night. Go off king @@marleeglenn1945
can't believe JT gets a review but Everything Everything only gets a short review
I appreciate Anthony's attempt at a budding career as a pirate.
Cal has been killing it recently. He's just... perfect.
it’s been too long, seeing Cal again feels right
Hey Melon, can you tell Todd to make the Trainwreckords on Man of the Woods already?
Amen
I watch him all the time
It’s a step up as an album from Man of the Woods
The problem is that where man of the woods had absolutely horrendous lows (and a lot of them) with a couple of absurd highs (Higher Higher is the best song he’s ever made imo), this album has… nothing. Its just average. Nothing stands out as either great or terrible, it’s not really memorable.
The biggest issue with this album is yes, how painfully unsexy he is and how he’s still trying to chase that mid 2000s persona but just being way too fucking old to be writing music like this.
Went from crooner to sex machine to crooner with a suit, then a farmer-ish crooner sex fiend father, to now a sex machine going through a mid life crisis
I´m glad that Anthony understood we watched his videos only to see Cal.
Anthony really talkin behind Justins back on this one
Anyone else notice fantano has been getting more creative with the thumbnails? Must be because his friend Cal has finally come home to visit.
The intro & thumbnail game is getting better and better...
Damn. Wasn't expecting Melon to take a flame thrower to this album. I didn't think it was that bad.
Melon expects artists to draw outside of the lines which is something JT won’t ever do again lol. But yeah, I’m shocked he doesn’t like Sanctified
It was fucking boring
@@nanathegoat5106 I have to agree. As a long time JT fan, my problem with the album wasn't really the lyrics, the themes, the production, or the ideas of the songs.. - my problem was simply that the melodies and hooks were too forgetable and boring, especially compared to his previous albums. Very few songs in this album are single worthy, while Futuresex was an album where every song could be a single almost. JT needs those kinds of songs, because he usually can't rely on lyrics or depth. The tunes just weren't there this time, and it sucks.
I actually loved it. And 20/20 was pop perfection.
@@LeonLindProductions dawg, trust me. Relisten a few times. I felt the same initially but now the whole album is on repeat constantly. I’m boutta buy jt tickets LMAO
Wow, you were even harsher than I thought. I guessed a 5.
Just because he failed to bring sexy back doesn’t mean you should give him a 4
His back is pretty sexy though
To be accurate, he brought it back, but it only lasts a short time. It comes back every 6 years, like cicaidas.
“Leave that man in those woods” lol
You gave 5/10 to 20/20 experience which was a masterpiece by all standards. Even the pitchfork had to shell out 8.4/10, so this is 4/10, quite good I suppose.
Man the fact that some people have reviews from years ago memorised is so crazy to me.
@@wuper2270 Didn't need to memorize, I remember he gave it a bad score, one of the only bad ones. I searched and found it out.
I was really expecting a red flannel for this one, so that's gotta be a win for JT
Huh, I thought Technicolor was one of the best songs on the album.
This album really turned me around. Definitely everything I thought it was. Jobe VII is just on the horizon, get that Jobe Mark II review in while you still can Anthony!!
this is a class album guys worked his ass off
loving the new thumbnail concept lmao
Thank you for doing an objective review based solely upon the music! You didn’t bring up sh*t that had nothing to do with the album, and while I don’t agree with the score, I appreciate that you were fair with your assessment of the art.
You hating on the 20/20 experience is wild it was and still is his strongest body of work.
True it’s my favorite.
I love 20/20 but the songs were way too long. They could’ve dropped a solid 14 - 15 track classic rather than a 2 part bloated blockbuster. Still…some of his best work is on that project.
justified better
Wrong, future, sex love sound is his best body of work
RUclips keeps pushing this video to me. I have this album on repeat. I love it. People are just hating it because it’s cool to hate JT these days. Sad they’re missing out on some bops.
Sheesh,he finally did the review, thought he ignored this album
That is a very curious name JT of City Girls is going by
If it was called Everything I Pimped it Butterflys you would have given it a 10/10.
*Every Butterfly I Thought I Pimped
Honestly, some parts sound good, and others sound like Justin downloaded a music maker app to fill the album.
Overall, he is capable of way more than this Maroon5esque approach to modern music.
It does. This sounds like an AI generated JT album.
Yep, it's true sadly... Maroon 5 (modern Maroon 5) is the perfect way to describe it. I don't know why almost all artists feel the need to make their songs more simplistic, boring, safe and generic than they used to be. And while on Futuresex he was actually trying to sound sexy and sensual, here it feels like he's doing it all sarcastically.
Production on 20/20 was insanity. Insanely heavy L take
You are cooking with these thumbnails Mr. theneedledrop
If it was called “To Turn Around” it be a -10/10
To Turn Around a Butterfly*

To Turn A Round
This is the worst reaction an artist can have to the negative reception given in a "risk taking" project. The problem isn't the risk, it's that the product that came from it. Instead JT seems to think the risk was the problem and in response he's decided to give us the safest and blandest album of his career.
The only risk he took this time was just making a song about "how hard" is to be a star with fame, millionaire, a good family and stable relationships. Probably forced by the Britney scandal.
i’m guessing album got changed a lot from the Britney stuff…/it was supposed to be a cover job to clean his image off, hence why it’s so dull, bland, and safe.
It’s a great album I really don’t know what you guys are all talking about
@@letitiam it's fine to like it, it's just no better than anything justin has done in his career and really far from what he can do.
@@jeanolttis it though? Justin is an aging act. Timbaland has fallen off. New producers are giving the same beats you hear on the radio today. This is probably the best he can do at this time.
this is probably THE most iconic thumbnail thus far
There was an ad for this album before a movie I just went to, and I legit thought it was an ad for Pepsi or something, it looked so lame
Maybe his next album in 20 years will be better. He can talk about sex in a retirement home.
He can call it "the Villages"
Since you didn’t like Sanctified, listen to the live SNL version, the song really comes to life more
Anthony's thumbnail game has really gone exponential this year
This is a genuinely good album. I don't get what people want. It's catchy, got great production and has variety thematically. If this was a decade ago people would be freaking out but for whatever reason he's not "it" anymore.
I was at more of a 7 on this album. It was not great, but I enjoyed enough songs on it. The 20/20 albums were too high of a bar and I don’t know that he’ll ever match that. Technicolor was the standout to me.
Hey Anthony, I'm a fan of your reviews, I like the way you describe music, and hopefully awaken people to the reality that mainstream popular music is often still subject to being bland, uncreative, and boring ! lots of laughs even when I haven't listened to the album.

CYMATICS - Aaron Loveday
“No wonder AI is taking over.” 😂😂😂
His Tiny Desk was amazing. His album is better than MOTW but there are only a few tracks I really like. I think Sanctified was really good tbh. Fucking up the Disco is also a fun track. The singles of this album were disappointing though
justin just needs another 36 years to get a 10. you’ll get there, justin!
He already did in 2006 and 2013. Close in 2002.
If this was called Everything > I Was, you would've given it a 7/10.
Justin’s back!
Longtime JT fan but I have to agree with most of this review.... except Technicolor. Technicolor is a bop.
I'd love it if you could do a review of Luke Black's latest single, Chainsaws in Paradise. He's an independent, unsigned musician from Serbia who has been living in London for the past several years. He loves experimenting musically and so it's hard to categorize his sound - all of his latest releases have been wildly different - but he has a certain sensibility for the melancholic and theatrical that ties it all together. I absolutely adore his work and I'm curious what you think!
Anthony, a question if I may: why have you stopped reviewing the RAP Ferreira records?
TEN OUT OF TEN! REVIEW IT AGAIN!
Yes! Amazing album!
Any Cal appearance means an instant like from me
Not the best of JT but better than I expected and it’s good for his longtime fans
jesus to think i couldn’t disagree w your opinions harder, you dropped this 😢

This album is pretty good 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Don't know what you talking about 🤷🏾
Right
I mean at this point I'll watch reviews of genres i don't mess with just to experience Cal
I know it gets said every review but I love the thumbnails this year
if Justin was bold, you would have give this a 10
Some day you gotta come to one of these with a suit, I think thatd be badass
Agree, its just ok, but you could have mentioned that really sweet falsetto of his, probably the best out there.
Drown ,flame and selfish are the ones🔥🔥🔥
Killin it w the thumbnails
Melon you are just so silly with these cute lil thumbnails
Don't let this mid JT album distract you from the fact that Chromeo released another excellent album recently and you could check it out whenever you get a chance.
Future sex/love sounds and justified have aged like fine wine
Thank you for giving proper edging instructions, melon
I actually agree with basically everything said here. It's weird that is seems like now days artists that are getting older are also simultaneously getting more immature than their previous stuff. Justin's 1st two solo albums were great, nothing since then has been at the same level...not even close
The 20/20 Experience part 1 is easily as good as the first two records, Mirrors is arguably the best JT song
Trying to appeal to younger audience
Brad Taste did this thumbnail very well already
it's always nice to see Cal.
Damn, wasn't expecting that bad take on 20/20's production.
I really enjoyed the *Nsync track, but I loved *Nsync growing up and need more J.C.
Personally compared to its previous one which I really didn't like, this one I found not so bad...
It might be good. I mean Fantano gave Rihanna’s Anti like less that a 5, and MBDTF a 6. Nuff said
