@@ge8198 This is a massive L take. You respectfully couldn't be more wrong. I grew up on all of that as a teenager and was deep in that pop music movement, MTV's TRL and everything revolving around it as a big *NSYNC & Britney fan. *NSYNC quickly became superstars and Justin was the most popular of the guys. His solo album was highly anticipated after the group's 3rd album Celebrity and announcing that they were taking a break. Justin around that time of making his first album had just broke up with Britney and when Justified was released, Cry Me A River was an absolute smash. Justin had even brought the song to Britney before the album worldwide release to listen to it and ask if it was okay to put it out there. That is a tidbit that is not often repeated 20+ years later. But by no means did he need to manufacture anything to be relevant. The guy proved to be massively talented and charismatic. That take is completely made up and spoken out of pure nonsense. I'm so glad I grew up in the early 2000s which had the golden era of RNB music. I loved the first and second album that JT dropped they had so many bangers. Timbaland was such a huge part of JT's success.
Everything JT & Timberland released in the 2000s was insane and has stood the test of time to this day. Justin’s career skyrocketed and left an imprint in music that not many can top to this day. I hope whatever comes next from these two will just as incredible as the last decade has proven to be ⚡️
JT and Timbaland are one of the best collabs out there. Their combined sounds have produced so many hits. Carry Out, Cry me a River, What Goes around.. Sexyback, My Love, 4 Minutes - I love them all.
FS/LS is way ahead of its time. To think it's almost 20 years old just shows how advanced the album was. Timbaland and Danjas production was next level. Every track just sounded different it still sounds fresh now. That album is like the iPhone of Music 🎶 🎵 👌🏽
Timbaland is modern hip hop and rap. The amount of artists and hits he has produced for us is almost unfathomable. I think when its all said and done he will go down as the most influential music producer of all time.
The last one was kind of odd. The 2020 Vision's "Drink You Away" should have been saved for that last album. I just hope he plays to his age instead of making music for horny 23 year olds.
One of my favorite things about Timbaland's music is how timeless it is. Most music sounds very much like the era it came from and you could place when it was made within a couple of years, just from hearing it. But Timbaland's music always just sounds like Timbaland. I can always identify when a song has been produced by Timbaland when I hear it because his signature is so strong, but there's no date on it. He's so innovative, yet consistent at the same time. No other producer stands out to me the way he does.
The Ginuwine/The Bachelor appreciation is dope. Glad to see JT giving those flowered considering how I always think of Ginuwine when I here JTs first 3 albums.
Big facts!! I was literally justt thinking the same thing. Cool to actually hear JT shout-out The Bachelor. Cause there's definitely a number of tracks him and Timbo did, especially off of FutureSex, that had those Ginuwine vibes...even literally some of the same sounds haha. They kept those vibes going fosho. Miss both those eras fr 🔥🙌🏼🔥
Timbaland has been one of the best talent developers in music history. His love for his art doesn't just stay with him. It inspires others, of multi generations to produce some of the best songs to lift you up and get you out of your seat! Great work. These two are a great collaboration.
That sound people say timbaland started actually came from Devante Swing of jodeci. That’s why songs like End of time with Beyoncé sound like jodeci songs. Not saying timbaland copied and paste but he took alot of elements from Devante swing who taught him how to use a sound board and make sounds. Devante swing discovered missy elliot, ginuwine, timbaland, static major, magoo, tweet and a lot of other producers and artists. They were all signed to his swing mob label and went by “da bassment cru”. He discovered them through auditions and associations and they all stayed in an apartment building he bought in Rochester, NY. He wanted them there so they could focus on the music and not be distracted by the city. They all had their own room with studio equipment 24/7. He taught some of them how to play instruments, he taught Tim how to use a soundboard, helped kissy’s singing group and she honed her writing skills there. They were there for a few years and some left because he wasn’t treating them write. He actually sent missy and her group home because there was so much drama with another girl group he has called sugah. Missy actually got along with them, her group members didn’t. Devante discovered sugah and they all made a demo for da bassment cru. Aaliyah heard one of the songs from sugah and that’s what made her choose timbaland and missy to work on her sophomore album one and a million. If you listen a lot of songs timb produce sound like jodeci songs. I wish they would give credit we’re it’s due. VA did not come up with that sound. Even teddy Riley (from VA) sound that Devante’s sound changed and brought in a whole new era of hip hop and rnb, and proof is in the pudding. Though they left Devante each artists was able to be successful, not because of hype or clout or any of that, but because their music was just that good. It pretty much defined the 2000s and oughts. Shame Devante swing wasn’t there for it but he was the one who created the sound.
Future/sex/love sounds is definitely one of my favorite albums of all times I love EVERY song in that album. Love this partnership it just feels so natural. Timbaland is unique.
Me too. Future Sex/Love Sounds album is one of my favorites from that era. I remember getting it for my 22nd birthday along with a new car stereo. I blasted that album for months. Still a nostalgic album for me.
My first JT concert was Justified, second was Futuresex/Lovesound and Timbaland was surprise guest. One of the best days of my life. These two had such an impact on pop music, I'm glad I was there when it happened. We had so much fun learning and performing Justin's choreographies at dance contests. It was an era that inspired a lot of people to start dancing.
All the collaborations of these talanted guys are awesome. Qualified sound, perfect singing, driving beats and that chemistry between the two of them are so fantastic! Thank Timbo and JT
These guys make fire records together. The 20/20 Experience is truly one of my favorite albums. It's so sonically different and takes me to another place when its on.
2 legendary icons right here. Music will never be this good again today. So glad I was a late teen/early 20 something during this era. Timeless songs and will never get old. ❤ Gen X forever!
Justin’s reputation has definitely taken a beating in the last 10 years, but you can’t deny the weight of his legacy, this is one of pop rnb’s most iconic duos, Justified and FS/LS defined a genre. It’s hard to describe but you just had to be there, speaks for itself. And from a millennial standpoint, they are near and dear to my heart, I grew up with their music, foundational in my pop literacy. Times are tough right now but this video with two childhood heroes brought such a smile to my face 🥲
I don't think for 10 years but I think something has changed in the last 5/6 years, maybe since 2016. Until 10 years ago Justin Timberlake was a huge global celebrity and popstar, I mean The 20/20 Experience was a great Era critically and publicly acclaimed success. But I agree JT was great in the 2000s and beyond, sometimes I see that the younger generation doesn't know the impact JT has had on music.
Yeah, I was a freshman in high school when Justified came out and was a freshman in college when FutureSex came out. ICONIC. I still have both CDs and was listening to the latter just last week.
I could honestly watch hours of a documentary covering all the songs they’ve done together. JT is my #1 artist for sure and Timbaland absolutely broke the glass ceiling to get him there. Legendary
Cry Me River, What Goes Around and My Love are masterpieces and timeless. Mirrors is the most perfect song that i've ever heard until now and it has been 8 years?
Love this conversation. Timbaland's Masterclass is amazing and his chemistry with artists over time has just been iconic - I don't use that word lightly. He embodies it!
Future Sex/Love Sounds is an album I go back to a lot because the songwriting and the production on that album is flawless, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are arguably one of the greatest music duos out there for sure!!! That 20/20 Experience album is still one of my favorites & one of the best albums ever imo! They made so much good music together!! I hope more is coming!
I wanted to hear Tim talk more about the cadence of his life and wanting to find a different rhythm. That sounded like a really interesting conversation because everyone talks about him doing EVERYTHING on beat but we haven't heard his take on it before. He got cut off from what he was saying
One of the most talented duo of all time. People who know and understand Music can confirm these two are lengends... Massive Respect for Timbo and JT... 🙌🏻
I love to hear producers, real musicians and artists talk so succinctly and passionately about music! Give Timberland, Missy and Pharrell their flowers!
Wow u missed out Timberland produced most of Aaliyah "One In A Million", Ginuwine "The Bachelor", and then Timberland and Magoo album they did together were absolute bangers! 🔥
FANGIRLING. I love these two together. Gave us some ICONIC albums. The Sexyback story is INSANE. Their artistry is magical. LOVE em both but like I say, no JT without Timbo. God bless 🙌🏾
Justin Timberlake and Timbaland are my best life memories. Growing up, high school… time flew by way to fast :( so glad to see them back together. FutureSex/LoveSound is still my no1 album ever. Epic.
Timba, your music (even back in the Magoo days) was the first time my ears latched on to a specific producer and it's been an awesome ride to hear your evolution alongside different artists. There definitely was a unique vibe that spawned with you and JT, like making little beat babies.
The outro of what comes around goes around, is iconic!! I remember I went to a resort in India nearly 10 years ago, and they only played "What come around..." on repeat. Such a good memory and such a great song
The feel like their special and unique bond over the years these two have has paid off, love these guys, growing up with these guys in my middle and high-school days, Justin and Tim’s music was an inspiration and their songs hit me in a great way, keep up your success gentlemen, you guys are way too good to stop☺.

I'm so glad I grew up in the early 2000s which had the golden era of RNB music. I loved the first and second album that JT dropped they had so many bangers. Timbaland was such a huge part of JT's success.
Cry me a river is incredibly produced. Shout outs to everyone involved in that track.
Go listen to Bubba Sparxx song "Nowhere" that's where the hook came from. Tim co-produced it, but Scott Storch was the main producer [I think].
That “cry me cry meeeeeeee”..sheesh!
5:00 He’s not wrong when looking back. FutureSex/LoveSounds defined the pop music sound that came after, most of late 2000s and early 2010s
Two 🐀🐀
Bangers after bangers🔥🔥🔥
Don't forget suit and tie and mirrors!
Losing my way
@@ShaysOutlook and TKO
BLUE OCEAN FLOOR IS SO UNDERRATED!!! One of their best and I will go to my grave with that opinion! Thank you for saying that whoever said it!!
FULLY AGREE!
That's some 'Volta' inspo right there
Sooo true!!!
🥶
that was Timbaland copying Clams Casino/ASAP Rocky vibes. But to be fair, Clams Casino is a Timbaland baby so it goes back to the father, so to speak.
Facts… It’s a vibe
Justified is still an amazing album 20 years later
FS/LS is way ahead of its time. To think it's almost 20 years old just shows how advanced the album was. Timbaland and Danjas production was next level. Every track just sounded different it still sounds fresh now. That album is like the iPhone of Music 🎶 🎵 👌🏽
I completely agree! It doesn't sound 17 years old at all.
Danja especially because he also made Blackout which still sounds fresh.
This. I still have my cd. I remember playing it freshman year in college
There’s nothing like hearing “Summer Love” on a summer night while you’re cruising with the windows down. 😌
With your girl
Timbaland is modern hip hop and rap. The amount of artists and hits he has produced for us is almost unfathomable. I think when its all said and done he will go down as the most influential music producer of all time.
These two need to drop their new album already.. they’ve been teasing around in the studio for ages!
The last one was kind of odd. The 2020 Vision's "Drink You Away" should have been saved for that last album. I just hope he plays to his age instead of making music for horny 23 year olds.
@@laurants 40 year olds can be horny too
“Don’t Hold The Wall” by far my all time favorite collaboration between these two.
Yes omg
Love that song
Yessss definitely a slept on favorite of mine
One of their most underappreciated tracks!
That whole album is so solid. And I love "True Blood" from part 2
Yeah, I agree
Absolutely. I agree! 👏🏾 This comment is underrated.
Two 🐀 🐀
Timbaland has been one of the best talent developers in music history. His love for his art doesn't just stay with him. It inspires others, of multi generations to produce some of the best songs to lift you up and get you out of your seat! Great work. These two are a great collaboration.
We need more interviews like this !!!
I can watch these for days !
These two changed the R&B game for years to come. 🔥
@@Aurousosa oh my goodness
The Bachelor and Supa Dupa Fly were my intros to Tim also. These started my obsession w music production.
No…Aaliyah was my introduction to him & Missy 🤔
Sexy Back is still a booty-shaker today when the DJ played it in a club. Timbaland's beats are immortal.
They made INCREDIBLE Music together. Justin’s 1st and 2nd albums are straight PERFECTION. 🔥🔥🔥🏆
"if I wrote you a symphony" 😂🎶 That's exactly how I sound when trying to sing like Justin!
We definitely due for a comeback from these two..
Same. Such a classic album!
It's impossible not like this duo, they are iconic.
Blue Ocean Floor is my favorite song from these two. AMAZING SONG
Include Nelly Furtado and it completes my entire teenage vibe. They made really eargasmic music. 😍
I love "Losing My Way" and "Amnesia".
I think those tracks have something magical that they reach your soul.
Losing my way is my favorite track of futuresex lovesounds
🎯💯
They go together like peanut butter and jelly. Iconic duo 🤩
I could watch 3 hours of this
All the collaborations of these talanted guys are awesome. Qualified sound, perfect singing, driving beats and that chemistry between the two of them are so fantastic!
Thank Timbo and JT
A song or two a day is absolutely insane for how big a footprint the songs made and how catchy the songs were.
These guys make fire records together. The 20/20 Experience is truly one of my favorite albums. It's so sonically different and takes me to another place when its on.
What an era, thanks you for what you did for the music universe
2 legendary icons right here. Music will never be this good again today. So glad I was a late teen/early 20 something during this era. Timeless songs and will never get old. ❤ Gen X forever!
Justin has always kept a fresh line up
Justin’s reputation has definitely taken a beating in the last 10 years, but you can’t deny the weight of his legacy, this is one of pop rnb’s most iconic duos, Justified and FS/LS defined a genre.
Blame the woke mob. They ruin everything
Yeah, I was a freshman in high school when Justified came out and was a freshman in college when FutureSex came out. ICONIC. I still have both CDs and was listening to the latter just last week.
@@francyl29 he got older is all that changed
what did Justin do? (love them both)
I could honestly watch hours of a documentary covering all the songs they’ve done together. JT is my #1 artist for sure and Timbaland absolutely broke the glass ceiling to get him there. Legendary
It's about time they collab again. We need their magic back on the radio.
Amen to that! Lord Jesus save us.
Cry Me River, What Goes Around and My Love are masterpieces and timeless.
Mirrors is the most perfect song that i've ever heard until now and it has been 8 years?
Can’t wait until we hear new music from you two. Best collaboration ever!
Tim’s songs are classics that still can get played and it sounds right with the time. Justin and Tim are a great team.
Love this conversation. Timbaland's Masterclass is amazing and his chemistry with artists over time has just been iconic - I don't use that word lightly. He embodies it!
i miss the time when this kind of music could be heard everywhere
Future Sex/Love Sounds is an album I go back to a lot because the songwriting and the production on that album is flawless, Timbaland and Justin Timberlake are arguably one of the greatest music duos out there for sure!!! I hope they do another album like that sometime in the future because it is just perfection 🔥
Yo.... That "MY LOVE" Beat is STILL one of the sickest beats ever... the interlude into the track 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 blew my mind to this day!!!
I have literally started the song before just to skip to the interlude at the end 👏🏽 "but first lemme lemme talk to em'"
When TIMBALAND & TIMBERLAKE get together it's MAGICCCC!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Timbaland is absolutely untouchable. Hes up there with Dre on god. People dont even realize just how vital he was from 2000-2010. He was the hottest producer from that time frame and u cant even deny it. Dude is legendary🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I don’t think you know who Scott Storch is then. A lot of people assume it was Dre but nope
Seriously, they made such great music. I wanna go back to those times. Please release a new collab?! 🙏🏻
I can listen to them all day! They put out some classic hits together. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next. BOPS ONLY!
That 20/20 Experience album is still one of my favorites & one of the best albums ever imo! They made so much good music together!! I hope more is coming!
They have superb chemistry
Timbaland is a icon to humanity he made a sound of the world of those times that can never be replicated
That’s deep
I wanted to hear Tim talk more about the cadence of his life and wanting to find a different rhythm. That sounded like a really interesting conversation because everyone talks about him doing EVERYTHING on beat but we haven't heard his take on it before. He got cut off from what he was saying
he got cut off a few times, i was thinking the same :/
I thought the same that Justin cut him off a bit.
One of the most talented duo of all time. People who know and understand Music can confirm these two are lengends... Massive Respect for Timbo and JT... 🙌🏻
Blue Ocean Floor is that girl. So underrated and slept on!
They made some super bangers together when the chemistry there it’s there. Salute to Timbo & JT 🙌🏾💯🔥
I love to hear producers, real musicians and artists talk so succinctly and passionately about music! Give Timberland, Missy and Pharrell their flowers!
My first exposure to Timbaland was Future Sex! Still one of the best albums 🔥
Totally off topic but is it just me or does JT always look like he just woke up?
@@lindsaylivelove not just you lol. It also sounds like he just woke up😂
Wow u missed out Timberland produced most of Aaliyah "One In A Million", Ginuwine "The Bachelor", and then Timberland and Magoo album they did together were absolute bangers! 🔥
Two 🐀🐀
Dang you really gotta go back. A lot of his good stuff is before that
Epic.
These two make gold. Incredible chemistry
These 2 together my goodness! 😭
They made the best music
The respect these 2 have for each other. Unmatched!!!
Timba, your music (even back in the Magoo days) was the first time my ears latched on to a specific producer and it's been an awesome ride to hear your evolution alongside different artists. There definitely was a unique vibe that spawned with you and JT, like making little beat babies.
Timbo* lol
Oooooooooooo love to love to love yaaa love yaaa love yaaaa
The outro of what comes around goes around, is iconic!! I remember I went to a resort in India nearly 10 years ago, and they only played "What come around..." on repeat. Such a good memory and such a great song
The feel like their special and unique bond over the years these two have has paid off, love these guys, growing up with these guys in my middle and high-school days, Justin and Tim’s music was an inspiration and their songs hit me in a great way, keep up your success gentlemen, you guys are way too good to stop☺.
LEGENDARY duo. I remember just watching old RUclips clips of them in the studio. They’ve made magic time and time again. This could’ve been a full documentary if we’re being honest.
