Truck Doesn't Know What To Do, Street Running Train Coming! Train Runs Stop Sign, Knocks Down Signal

- 3 Street Running Trains In LaGrange, Kentucky On The CSX Short Line. Two Long Trains Passed At The LaGrange Railroad Yard. One Train Was So Long That It Needed 2 Mid Train DPUs. Truck Didn't Know What To Do With Night Train Approaching Down The Middle Of The Street. People Run In Front Of Train To Get To Truck. Live Action!
CSX intermodal train comes through LaGrange northbound. It runs the stop sign, knocks down the signal and takes the siding to wait for a second train to pass. No, the trains don't have to stop at that stop sign and knocking down the signal is just railroad jargon. It just means that the signal went to red after the train passed it. This train went all the way to the north end switch at the LaGrange Yard and waited for a huge southbound train to pass.
The southbound train was a BIG train with 2 DPU locomotives mid train. Check out the awesome view that I got of it approaching in front of the courthouse. By the way, I also show the courthouse. It was moved slightly and had additions put on both sides. We take a close look all around the construction site.
The 3rd street runner train is an auto racks train heading northbound at night. A truck pulled up just before the train came and parked very close to the track. It had to be close because a construction zone fence takes up part of the road. People can be seen running across the track with the train coming. They went to the truck. I filmed the track crossing the main intersection in town since that is where the town has the most light.
Don't miss the dogs at the end and check out the slide show that comes from the video.
Filmed Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Happy Veterans Day! Also, happy birthday to @DADDYD4DESTROYERRR! His birthday was yesterday
Turned 62 November9th J.T👍 Enjoy your videos and pets!🛤️
@@FabianDiazTrainsTrucksNCars yeah I saw that. Missing parts. I got one in Indiana missing all the side panels
The train going down the middle of the street certainly adds a size of train equipment and their load "perspective" to the video.
Thanks for watching 😊
A salute to all the Veterans. Thank-You!!
Happy Veterans Day
My usual response when anyone thanks me for my service: "It was an honor to serve."
I myself an not a veteran, but I do stand with them regardless. Thanks for the sacrifice and all.
I would like to start with this: we live in the Netherlands. And viewing Jaw Tooth's videos nearly every day. I was touched by the comments on Happy Veterans Day. Thank you all. It took ages before Veterans Day was introduced overhere. Just as late as 2005. My dear father was a soldier for a very long time. Served from 1935 till 1976. From East Asia to Germany and the Netherlands. He passed 1983. Thanks for reading.
@@isthatbikedieselmate Thank you for your comment. Part of my family live in England and every Poppy-day is a day off silence and remorse with them.
Blessed Veteran's Day to all who serve and suppor❤
🤣goodmorning JT.😅
Those articulated flat/well cars … wow!
Mornin'! Let's start the video, son.
Good Saturday morning JT. Have a good weekend.
156 cars and two Dpu
Salute to the veterans. Sometimes they run military trains through LaGrange. It's never a dull moment.
Great Video!
We vacationed in Ky. in Lexington back in June of 2022 and we really enjoyed it. I regret not doing a day in LaGrange after watching your various videos which are always top notch. Thanks JT.
Did anyone else notice the white autorack on the 2nd train at the 20:53 mark, with the "Hourglass" road name, that had the roof wadded up about half way back the car? It was obviously pulled half way through too low a clearance somewhere. That was quite the mixed manifest on that train, too. Good stuff as always, JT, I love watching them roll through LaGrange. Thanks.
Good catch. There appeared to be a couple of damaged autoracks in that train.
And a vintage Conrail autorack right behind it. 😃
To Veterans past, present and future, you have my heartfelt thanks and respect for your time in service. Great trains JT!! That long one with the DPU's was great! Watching you in LaGrange is one of my favorite places to see. Until next time!!
Thank you very much!
Happy veterans day
Awesome video with 2 dpu working hard but wait there’s more 👍😎🇺🇸🚂👍
I love street-running railfan videos. It amazes me how people keep challenging (playing chicken) with trains as if a train can swerve at the last minute. They must be sitting on their brains. Thanks for another great video.
What a great video! To stand in the street or even sit outside having a coffee while a train like that trundle by is fantastic.
Wonderful stuff JT!
Nice video. On articulated well cars, one end will be the A, the other end will be the B. A five pack will have the C, D and E in the middle. A three pack will have the C in the middle, etc. The B end is the brake end. They are counted differently for brakes. A five pack, for example, is considered three brakes for braking purposes. This also determines which and how many brakes you are allowed to cut-out when you have articulated cars due to some kind of braking problem on the line of road. Single cars are easy to count for braking purposes, but the rules are different for multi-unit cars, like well cars. Once again, a great video, as always.
I am in Western Australia and in the north they have iron ore trains 3.5 km long with numerous assisters along the length to reduce the risk of break offs. The longest train was 7.2km I think but not sure what year, but that world record may have been beaten by now. I used to drive hi-rails (trucks with rail and road wheels) for a while. Thanks for the video.
I love the night shots. The ditch lights, crossing lights, signal lights and the E.O.T. device lights all show up better in the night videos.
Thanks for watching!
Hey JT: excellent video! Couldn't believe the train with the railcars that looked like double-long were only one car each! Amazing!.. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice weekend. 👍
Those articulated cars can be 3 or 5 cars combined. Still seems odd to count them as one car.
Your night street running trains reminds me of my childhood days when my Dad would take us to the Hyattsville (MD) B&O station to watch the trains. Great nostalgia! Thank You Mr Tooth
That's cool!
The final time I spoke to my son he told me that " J.B.HUNT "was on the way down as they could not get the orders out the door quick enough & the money was running out fast. Great video thanks again for a fantastic video.
SUPERB! I'm one of the ones that like the night trains - especially in LaGrange.
You know - I wonder how long it will be before the railroads begin using articulated tankers, grain cars, gondolas, boxcars, etc.
Realistically, there's no obvious (at least to me) reason why they can't.
The fuel saving from the reduced friction and drag would add up quickly I would think - especially in these dark days of outrageous prices.
JawTooth - you're a great videographer and I really appreciate all the time you spend filming, editing, and producing these videos. It's a lot of work but you do a great job! Thank you!!!!
God is always with us to help.
Thanks for your support and thanks for commenting on my videos! God bless and have a great day
Big like my dear friend! Have a nice day and greetings from Brasil 🇧🇷
It's good to see Brandi out playing and having fun! ❤❤ Great video today JT. Thank you so much! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
If we had street running freight trains in my town people would go crazy waiting for the trains to clear the street. They would probably drive their cars into the train just because it’s in their way. No joke. It once happened once at a local railroad crossing.
Hi JT, What an amazing sight the first train was, double stacked wow they ard b7gcwhrn close up aren't they. I never tire of you filming in LaGrange! I think some of my orders my be in the amazon prime cars! You are so knowledgeable about the cars & how to count them i didnt know about multiple units on one axle. Wow that first train was long. Its rememberence day here in the UK, I want to say thank you to all the veterans past & present. Never forgotten. 🇬🇧🇺🇲❤❤😊😊👏🙏
Wow! I love these long freight trains! Thanks so much Brian for sharing!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching
@@JawTooth Hi Brian! You're welcome
I was counting the cars about the time you said they're all one put together on three and now I got to go back and recount thanks Jaw Tooth
thanks, Jaw Tooth, & Scott for another amazing train video from one of my favorite locations, Have a great week.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video JT! Nice catch on the night runner!..and your lighting was fine..lense lets in plenty of light.
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Hi Brian this was one of those awesome videos, the picture was really sharp and clear.( You look great too )👍👍
To imagine a freight train with 3 engines rumbling down our main downtown avenue would be a sight to see!
Hehe, the truck driver at 24:38 really doesn't know what to do. There is no other car in sight for miles and the train is also very far away. Send me this driver to Berlin. At the latest when he sees a tram for the first time that does not run on its own track, he gets a nerver collapse and never drives a car again.🤣🤣 Thats an nice video. Greetings from Berlin/ Germany. Sven
This is the second train video I have watched today that had a single clean railbox car in it. (no graffiti). Will wonders never cease.
Thanks for your videos, especially those showing street running. I have long been fascinated by trains running along city streets but have only had the opportunity to see two examples myself (apart from streetcars/trams). Living in Australia, street running has always been rare and I'm only aware of three examples at present. The most well known one, which I first saw in 1965, is in the city of Rockhampton in the state of Queensland where a busy mainline travels about 2 km (1.3 miles) along a wide city street. It was originally double track and now single track except for a short section where a restored steam tram is operated by a group of enthusiasts.
Check out my Street Running Trains playlist for more. Thanks for watching
Stayed a couple days in LaGrange Kentucky and loved catching the trains . Thanks for sharing your videos 🚂
You would think with them in the middle of the street they would go a little faster than the do so they can get out of the way.
The trains are required to go no faster than 10mph when in the town. Once the lead locomotive clears town, they can speed up.

Happy birthday to Scott! It never ceases to amaze me how many traffic accidents happen on the main drag in that town plus the number of people that try to drive down the tracks at the end of the pavement. You see a lot of that on VR. Love the double DPU treat. Thanks for the night train fix, that was excellnt. Enjoyed it immensely, thanks JT!
I love the GIS images on your site. I am a GIS Analyst and an IT Manager and really enjoy you work. The oddest haul I have seen is BNSF was bodies of commercial jets. Keep up good work.
I loved that intermodel, it was a tall as some of those buildings. Another dam good show! Thank you for the video Brian. Stay well roll on
Glad you enjoyed it
👍🏻😎🚂
Love all trains!
That was sweet. Did you see the dad kiss his daughters hand at 10:13?
Your night time videos are just fine. We can see just about as good as if we were there at the time. Very interesting about those articulated cars. Tremendous amount of loads being shared by those rail car trucks! Always learn some interesting things when watching your videos.
Another great video from Jaw Tooth. Have a nice weekend 😊🌈
What would be a mess,a long train ties up all the intersections and then goes into emergency, that would be bad.
Excellent video Jaw Tooth. I am so relaxed watching this video. Love these freight trains of CSX. 👍🎥 🛤️🛣️🚦🚦
Thank you for two additional trains that you caught on 24 October 2023 in LaGrange, Kentucky, Jae Tooth! I enjoyed watching this video!
Thank you very much!
Great catches and awesome video jaw tooth
That was one long ACSC mixed freight! I'm guessing it held up quite a bit of traffic. Great catch JT! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Wow! Great catch, Brian, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
DPUs ICUs followed by a centerbeam car and gambit. Loki and Brandy? still swim in November!!!! wow
thanks for the share JT!!!
Night Train Street Running is very good videos . Keep'm coming .
Wow a double DPU! Thanks for starting the video son!
Nice Video, Thats a big train, love the sound of locomotives just cruising along.
Looking at the other side, Driver pulls up but doesn't realise where he parked, went to the cafe to get something to eat, walks out 1/2 hour later and says wheres my truck, Guy hands him a Door handle and says the rest of it is on the Left and Right hand side of the line for about 900 metres, Good luck with your insurance company.
Nice Video Capture.
enjoy watching your videos, i watch in honor & memory of my brother. he was a huge railfan. thanks again
Thanks for watching!
always will 🚂
Hey jaw tooth street running trains are cool to watch. Happy veterans Day to all veterans. Thanks for all you do for keeping us free and safe. Have a great railroad day 🚂🙋♀️
Thanks! You too! Happy Veterans Day
Lagrange awesome place to spend the day great video thanks Brian and Scott happy birthday to Scott
14:56 I love the "deng deng deng" of the square wheels 😍
That Chevy S-10 following the first train is a classic/show car these days.
Great action as always..thank you Jaw Tooth.
Could very well be a bobcat. Nice kitty! Nice kitty! Awesome video!
Happy Veterans Day! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thanks 👍
I love watching these street running trains in Lagrange ky always cool to watch and I wish they had street running trains in Illinois where I live
In addition to the 3-unit articulated well cars, I saw a 3-unit drawbar well car in that train. Each unit has two trucks like a single-unit well car, but they are connected with permanent drawbars, classified as a single car with the same reporting marks number, with A, C, B units. I'm in North Carolina, enjoy your videos a lot.
Seems like CSX doesn't believe in spending money to clean their locomotives.
Cleaning them doesn't make them work any better.
I have got to get to LaGrange! Next time my wife wants to go to Jeffersonville, Indiana to see her sister, we are going to "DETOUR" to go down Main St. LaGrange!!
La Grange seems like a very quaint town, we rarely see these types of towns anymore
I look for them. I have a Street Running Trains playlist with more of them
Love long train need come to lewis county ky.
Looks like they have holiday lighting installed.
It would be very interesting to know how many tons this train was hauling , it's got to be in the thousands ! We have trains running in Northeastern North Carolina hauling steel from a local Nucor plant and when the trains go thru it looks like there is not much steel on the cars but they are actually loaded to the max . It doesn't take many steel plates forty & eighty feet long to run the weight up in a hurry . It's always interesting to watch them go thru and know that many people are making a living from that loaded train. Thanks for what you are doing !
Great show. This town is something else. I defently want to see this place. How far from Cincy?
I like American street running long train . I can't see today japanese railroad . Thank you very much .
Awesome video, street running trains are my favorite videos.
Big manifest with mid helper DPUS, nice shot with Fall foliage and American flags 🇺🇲,great place for night footage!🛤🚂
Thanks for sharing love watching the train!
Glad you enjoyed
Great Catches
That Truck better make up its mind Before the train does it for him.
Nice street running video as slways😃
Thanks 👍
I have a question. I am still amazed seeing those huge engines and cars doing some streetrunning. They run very slow but is there any damage done to the buildings due to fibrations or what? Can anyone help me out?
Very unlikely if they're going that slow. Every train that goes through there goes no faster than 15 mph.
*That Truck Drives All By Itself!* 🤣
Thanks for the video my grandson is autistic and love trains and your videos
Awesome, tell him thanks for watching my videos!
I like your night photography as well. Please do more - maybe an entire night video! Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Man. When you see Gambit stand near the train, you can really see how BIG they really are.
Thanks for watching
That must be really hard on whatever is under the street like water and gas pipes etc. Great video thanks!
You bet
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo et très bon week-end ! 👍✨
Thanks for that info on counting the cars
You bet!
Looks like a popular spot to trainspot and shoot photos and videos.
Fantástico boa tarde🌅🐶🐱
City streets. Built around the train tracks. Strange to see train passing through. So big. What a strange site Looks like slow motion .. thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching
Love the street runners!
Love Your Videos
Thanks!
This puts into perspective how tall freight trains are, you wouldn't think they would be the height of a 2 story building until you see a direct comparison.
hello jaw & it's is randy and i like yours video is cool thanks jaw friends randy and ( happy birthday to scott )
Nice video of the night train JT 👍👍
Thank you very much!
