Good morning Jess, I like the red trend, have added a red merino sweater and red crossbody bag to my collection. Both through Vinted😊 Floras dresses are not for me and to be honest, the shearling mules. To me they look too much like the winter slippers I’ll wear at home😁Have a lovely sunday🫶🏻

Even though I’ve been retired for a long time, I still wear mostly business casual, too, when I’m out and about. I just like to look more smart, as you British say. (The first time my English neighbor called me smart-looking, I though she meant extra-intellectual, it made me wonder, but I like the term, we Americans don’t really have an equivalent). Where I live in California, it’s a sea of people wearing black or gray gym clothes. That’s just not for me, it’s conformist, not creative, and too sloppy and I would be miserable in all that poly/Spandex.

Thank you for the video! I am happy that the hourglass style is starting to come back (which is ridiculous 'cause your body shape stays the same no matter the trend 🥲). I tried so many oversize styles and none of them looked good on me. I always look like I'm drowning in fabric... So I'm happy that more companies are starting to do styles that fit my body shape better!

Good morning. I love the red trend this year! And i ordered boots that were not shown on a model so i didnt see the actual hight of them. They were over the knee. And as much as i loved the style (super simple black with a golden plate unter the sole) i felt cheap and not flattering at all. And i love them so much on other women .. not fair 🤣
You’re my go to for outfit inspiration - even though I live in the southern US! Though I have to say “lingerie under a sheer shirt” isn’t new here - I remember it being popular here in the states a couple decades ago, though maybe that was because I lived in the same city that Victoria’s Secret was based in 😂. The satin midi and pleated midi I pair with a bodysuit and I think it works 🤣🤷🏻♀️ I feel it’s a smoother look and less frumpy on me if that makes sense? The bows look really cute. I might give it a go. I love the cognac pair of Mary Janes from Sezane just got to save a bit longer. I’m definitely getting the boucle jacket in red from river island though. When you modelled the slouchy, olive coat, I had a happy flashback to the 1980s. The British designer Katherine Hamnett came to mind. (I think that's her spelling.) UK seemed to lead the way with this look at the time - hair tied up with rags or hairbands, rolled up jeans, baker-boy caps and the ubiquitous ciggie 😄 Boys and Girls both! (from Kath)
If you are on a budget, Walmart has Sophia faux shearling aviator jackets for $54 (dark brown with cream lining and black/black). I have had the real thing. While I love them, they are very heavy and almost too warm for many situations.
Good morning Jess…. All of those looks are so elegant! Those that you will be wearing I mean. The sparkly knickers would be fine if we happen to be playing Dandini or Dick Whittington in a pantomime. They need a matching waistcoat and a tricorn hat with a plume. That would look okay but I don’t know who else would go for that look.
@Karen-ve6ds My guess is maybe a flamboyant look for young (or young-at-heart) clubbers! The Prada led trend def has a whiff of Rocky Horror Picture Show as well 😉 Also, how about as a 'Day to Night' look? Wear a wrap-over leather skirt with the cashmere sweater by day. Then go all Eva-the-Exhibitionist in the PM, casually whipping off your skirt to reveal the sparkly knickers 😯

Love your choices and fresh ideas . I have a question what jeans are you wearing with the white blouse w/black polka dots blouse (10:04). They look like high waisted wide leg . I missed the denim ones from Sezane and looking for an alternate . I really appreciate that you don’t follow every trend because it’s trending and understand you style/shape . Great I bought a cream bomber faux shearling Bomber jacket last year glad it 7snt out of style...I hate the buy and toss next year attitude of fashion these days. I but few trendy items but couldnt resist that last year.

I do have a few blanket scarves which I will pull out this season. I agree it’s the draping that is key.

I tried so many oversize styles and none of them looked good on me. I always look like I'm drowning in fabric... So I'm happy that more companies are starting to do styles that fit my body shape better!

Great video, with you on the trends I won’t be wearing though I’d add the black coat and bows to my list. A flash of red is nice in winter, looking at Sezanne’s Bree jumper in red 😊
Good morning. I love the red trend this year! And i ordered boots that were not shown on a model so i didnt see the actual hight of them. They were over the knee. And as much as i loved the style (super simple black with a golden plate unter the sole) i felt cheap and not flattering at all. And i love them so much on other women .. not fair 🤣
You’re my go to for outfit inspiration - even though I live in the southern US! Though I have to say “lingerie under a sheer shirt” isn’t new here - I remember it being popular here in the states a couple decades ago, though maybe that was because I lived in the same city that Victoria’s Secret was based in 😂. Though Madonna and Paula Abdul come to mind…

Really enjoyed this video. Love the trends this year. I’ve been ebaying away and have found some fantastic pieces. The satin midi and pleated midi I pair with a bodysuit and I think it works 🤣🤷🏻♀️ I feel it’s a smoother look and less frumpy on me if that makes sense?
The bows look really cute. I might give it a go. I love the cognac pair of Mary Janes from Sezane just got to save a bit longer. I’m definitely getting the boucle jacket in red from river island though. I have finally got a start date for my new job yay 🥳🙌 so will be wearing smarter pieces which I’m really looking forward to.

The British designer Katherine Hamnett came to mind. (I think that's her spelling.) UK seemed to lead the way with this look at the time - hair tied up with rags or hairbands, rolled up jeans, baker-boy caps and the ubiquitous ciggie 😄 Boys and Girls both! (from Kath)

If you are on a budget, Walmart has Sophia faux shearling aviator jackets for $54 (dark brown with cream lining and black/black).
I have had the real thing. While I love them, they are very heavy and almost too warm for many situations.
I love the shearling jacket but agree too heavy for most situations. Sheepskin coats still so popular though.

The sparkly knickers would be fine if we happen to be playing Dandini or Dick Whittington in a pantomime. They need a matching waistcoat and a tricorn hat with a plume. That would look okay but I don’t know who else would go for that look.

The Prada led trend def has a whiff of Rocky Horror Picture Show as well 😉 Also, how about as a 'Day to Night' look? Wear a wrap-over leather skirt with the cashmere sweater by day. Then go all Eva-the-Exhibitionist in the PM, casually whipping off your skirt to reveal the sparkly knickers 😯

Love your choices and fresh ideas . I have a question what jeans are you wearing with the white blouse w/black polka dots blouse (10:04). They look like high waisted wide leg . I missed the denim ones from Sezane and looking for an alternate . I really appreciate that you don’t follow every trend because it’s trending and understand you style/shape .
