I finished my honour playthrough with war cleric (12 levels - heroes feast is a really helpful spell to cast in honour mode), bhaalist armour, Duellist's Prerogative, Khalid's Gift, Diadem of Arcane Synergy, Bonespike Gloves, and with all the cleric spells as well. Luminous Gloves are also a good mention, but have to be careful of piercing resistance if using bhaalist armour and Radiant Retort (can be suicide to use radiant damage in honour mode); best for Act 2. I've done three playthroughs and this was the most enjoyable build I have ever played with. Remember spirit guardians (cleric spell) applies condition with the Diadem of Arcane Synergy ...
Another cool build, Jay. Hard to go wrong when you're mixing Gloom Stalker, Rogue and Fighter. Rogue is my fav class. I really like those sneak attacks to hit hard so I prefer 7 levels of Assassin + 5 Gloom Stalker (and take Archery) but you can't go wrong with mixing in Fighter... ever. I seriously think Gloom Stalker is the strongest sub class in the game at lvl 3 and boosts the build quite a bit. The extra initiative, movement and attack to open combat is huge. By the way, the vulnerability to piercing dmg from the Bhaalist armor works on everything including mobs with piercing resistance, despite what the tooltip says. I've had all piercing parties with that armor and its glorious.
Oh yeah the Bhaalist armor tooltip is so wrong 😂 it says 2m but it’s actually 3m. You’re so right about gloomstalker being an incredible dip! The extra attack is awesome but initiative is also a game changer! Being able to attack first and take out the biggest threat is very useful Sometimes it can free up your caster to move next too and that reduces the overall damage your team takes
Finished the game with this build. This was my first dex focused build. Aside struggling with every conversarion, it's pretty strong. Always summoned the raven for sneak attacks.
You can use sneak attack on reaction and just having your familiar next to a target is enough to be able to sneak attack. Having a friend close by gives you that ability too not just advantage
@@JasonDunna oh I see. Have you already killed everything on this save? I feel like especially with Assassin rogue it probably would have looked better to demo in an actual fight. Doesn’t seem as strong against allies. Just my opinion though
Yeah the aura of murder doesn’t trigger either, so when I aggro’d Duke Ravenguard you could see its effectiveness as I could two shot him hahaha. Yeah I use this file for all my builds because it has the most weapons, but as a downside everyone’s dead! Haha it’s a tough line to balance, some people complain I’m attacking the companions and that it’s not right to do that, but honestly people will complain about anything I’ve learned so I just try to educate as much as I can in these videos
@@JasonDunna I can see where you’re coming from there. I always assume anyone making RUclips videos is going to use mods to spawn in things, but gathering them all naturally is cool too. Keep doing you man!
Hey Jay! Thank you for these great videos, you've helped me a lot with various builds. Hoping you can help with a quick question. Using Unlock Level Curve mod for the first time and thinking about using this build. With an extra 8 levels, would you fill the rest with fighter? Or a mix of fighter and rogue assassin for more sneak damage? Any help is appreciated, thank you!
Honestly best available. The hellfire hand crossbow is solid once you get it but there’s nothing essential until you get to act 3 so use whatever you have! Phalar Aluve is a good choice always since you can sneak attack with it
You are a gloomstalker with archery style. Buy dual crossbows like mentioned in the video. If you want to respec later take sharpshooter early and play till act 3 before you feel a slight dip in your power. I try not to play like that because I want to be a melee rogue and once you start dual crossbowing you just won't swap off. I prefer thieve for both variants but assassin works.
@@JasonDunna if you had made that video and posted it here I would be going outside with one of those advertising signs that you twirl with your channel plastered all over it.
@@chitipatutrapiromsook9447 ooo now there’s an idea. Maybe a shadow monk mixed with something… leave it with me! I’ll put something together since I already did poison ivy
3 thief rogue levels and 9 shadow/open hand monk levels. Get tavern brawler and drink str elixirs because that's something medieval batman would do in order to match his foes' formidable strength. You can stock up on daggers and throw em to utilize the tavern brawler throw buff and in act 3 you get Orin's bloodthirst dagger, which will come back to you after throwing it just like a boomerang
Sunk 120 hours into a build like this with durge on honor mode then got softlocked against Cazador since I just quit to main menu once everybody but astarion was dead so I didn’t have to wait on cazador to take 3 turns to transform but since it was honor mode it saved right before I quit the game in the middle of the fight

Pretty close to mine , but i used thief and risky ring for advantage.
Risky ring is a solid choice for any rogue! Free advantage is so useful
Hey Jay, I got a question.
When it comes to running the Dark Urge for Tactician or Honor mode, would this essentially be the best build to run?
This would be a very solid one! I am more of a fan of lightning/cold sorcerers but this one hits really hard and fits the dark urge theme well

4 spore druid levels can be pretty neat with this build for the extra necrotic dmg from symbiotic entity as well as the... necrophilia reference. Heh
