      The Triangulum is my personal favorite galaxy as it is far more colorful and more beautiful than many other galaxies in my opinion and I feel as though it isn’t mentioned near as much as the andromeda even though it should be

    • @houserhouse
      @houserhouse 11 месяцев назад +4

      @@Gregg69420 I've always been fascinated by it because the milky way and andromeda pull in all the attention because of their sizes. In reality, the local group will eventually be a single galaxy containing both of them AND Triangulum, so I think all three galaxies are really just the fetal phases of the massive super galaxy that our distant descendants will inherit

    Another excellent video. Of all the challenging concepts, I think the whole idea of passing galaxies that don't involved colliding stars is the hardest perspective. We see these galaxies as small, compact objects that seem to have its galactic star population all crammed together. Then contrasting angular size with cosmic distances one can get a better appreciation for the space between the stars. But it is a hard thing to picture. You do a great job making it possible to imagine.

    Hello SEA 😊
    I just wanted to stop by and say hello and a massive thank you to you for creating your channel. It is quite literally brilliant. I've been watching for years now, and love the way you create your videos. I love the indepth scientific data drop, along with your flare for artistic and human side to the majesty of the universe that you're taking about.
    On behalf of all of us watching...a big thank you...and please keep going 😊 all the best.

    As an overview into this fascinating neighbor of ours, this video is fantastic. I could easily watch hours of talking about each thing in this video in-depth. Hat's off once again and thank you so very much for bringing the world this content!

    I love listening to the words "small" and "next-door neighbor" while thinking about how insanely large the distances are if you tried to go there or travel around and all the worlds that must exist there.

      If you send your "next-door neighbor" galaxy friend a message such as, "let's go to the park," then in 3 million years or so they will receive it.
      They will send a reply like, "no thanks mate, maybe next week," and in another 3 million years your descendants will receive the reply, and be disappointed on your behalf.
      Now consider that our predecessor species Homo Habilis was around about 2 million years ago. Your disappointed descendants 6 million years from now would most likely be several species' worth of separation from the you that sends the invitation today! And that's to send a message to our next-door galactic neighbor. 🤯
      "Space [...] is big. Really big. You just won't believe how vastly hugely mind-bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist, but that's just peanuts to space." -Douglas Adams
