You are probably my favorite RUclips channel. Your videos are so relaxing, gripping, informative and you make it accessible and easy to understand. Thank you so much for your hard work. 🙏🏽
I once heard space being described as "violent", and it has stuck with me ever since. It's humbling how delicate (known) life is, and the very specific conditions required for it to not only exist, but continue to flourish. Even the most hardy and adaptive of species are like a little snowflake in the grand scheme of cosmic conditions. We can't even leave our planet without carefully engineered tech without dying. Hell, you can even die falling out of bed! Sometimes I try to imagine what it would be like if I somehow fell into something like the sun, or a supernova, or a black hole. What would I see or hear? What torture it would be to be under such pressures and speeds. The closest I can imagine is broken ragdoll physics in a game, when a dead body gets stuck in the ground but its head or arm or whatever gets stretched to the other side of the map, and the whole thing is angrily vibrating trying to cope with the glitched collision. Then suddenly it gets yeeted out to the sky at the speed of sound, never to be seen again.
I listen to these every night, ear buds in, wife watching TV. I’ve listened to some of these four or five times now, great brain food. Keep up the great work!!!!
Yoooo the GD legend is all grown up. I’m sure you’ve heard this a lot over the past three years but I’m super happy to see what this channel has turned into. It was a pleasant surprise to come back after four years and see this channel not only persisting, but rather thriving.
I can not believe we have access to such amazing content. The visuals are a 10/10. The narrating is a 10/10. Each new video is on a new and exciting topic. Again, the visuals, graphs, demonstrations of information ... it's all so, so good.
Another perfectly produced and pricelessly informative video. Thanks for being the first person to actually explain a “standard candle” to me in a way my simple brain can understand.
This was a fantastic video. As a suggestion for a future video, I think it'd be fascinating if you devoted an entire episode to the cosmic origins of the elements. In other words, which elements were created in the Big Bang, which are created during a star's Red Giant phase, which are created by supernovas, etc. There are a couple of lectures on this topic on RUclips, but it's such an interesting subject and it would benefit from your storytelling and production polish.
Same here! Every night, I watch a few of these as I drift off to sleep, contemplating the abject enormity of the universe! It genuinely puts me at peace.
I was waiting for you to make a video on Supernovae, it is one of my favorite topics when discussing about astronomy, and Im so glad that you made this. Thanks SEA
