    Florida actor here, I like seeing stuff shot in Florida! This is beautiful, and Christian is a great cheerleader for St. Pete, he should run for mayor!

      Haha thanks John! Appreciate you watching and swinging by the channel. Mayor sounds fun! I guess I’ll need a good script writer, bodyguard, and lots of new bowties 😆👍

    How did you like the Canon? The color looks good. This has always been one of Canon's strengths.

      Appreciate that Scott! I actually loved this camera. And I went into it sort of thinking I would never buy one. And then I bought one the next week lol. C70 is now one of my favorite cameras. It’s small enough for Ronin S or 1-handed gimbal, same sensor as c300mkiii plus the built in NDs is a huge advantage for smaller productions where I don’t have an AC.

    and I'm still hanging with the bought and paid for OG C300 and C100 here, lol...... Would love to have the C70, but I just turned down a big wedding job because I'm all about having more free time and doing less work these days. In fact, I don't think I'll ever do another wedding.

      I hear ya! Still use my OG C300 as well! The c70 is real nice tho haha. And yeah i'm not a huge fan of weddings. Too many drunk people knocking my cameras over!

      I've shot stills for weddings back in the day. It's OK, money was good but you have like 10 bosses...bride, bride's mother.

    Great job, man! Loved how you built up tension as the short went on and the editing. Great sound design as well! Are you happy with the C70? What about "that" lens???? Cheers, brother

      Thanks! Glad you liked :) yes love the C70. My buddy let us borrow his for this but we’re planning to shoot again this week on one. I really like it and want to buy one. The Vespid lens you mean? Also very nice! Bought a set of them last month and they’re really solid especially for the price.

    Amazing footage, great job! Question, have you used the Auto-focus on the C70, heard it is great. Only for electronic lenses tho, how d oyou manage to pull focus that good on Cine-lenses? Any tips? :-)

    • @FilmJams
      @FilmJams  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! Yes autofocus is legit on the c70 and definitely great to have for certain situations. As far as pulling focus on cinema lenses, you can use focus peaking and set your screen to black and white with focus peaking in red. That's a little trick that helps a lot. And a lot of practice haha! :D

      @@FilmJams thanks for sharing. I did not know about that. I will try it next time I have to opportunity. My smallHD focus monitor is broken so I am dependent on the bad in-camera screen😂 yeah practice and more practice! You can never get enough. Have you tested the DJI camera? It has a device that gives manual lenses AF with the help of LiDar, i believe. Dreaming about DJI releasing that device separate to connect to other systems in the future. Would be great for a one-man-band.

      @@vegardpedersen Ahh yeah, that's tough with the on-camera screens to keep focus sharp...I haven't tried the DJI camera, but that focus technology seems really cool. I imagine they'll keep honing the tech and it will get better and better for us as one-person crews! We hope!

      That was not abstract at all. Great story, great acting too. I absolutely love that track. Can't find the full version tho. I almost pull the trigger on a fx6 but the C70 image is so much more organic ( sony looks like every other mirrorless camera imo ( Sharp but very digutal looking files).
