LMAO this video is EPIC. You guys are great. THANKS. You got me excited to build my bag up. I'm looking to get my first gig as a 2nd AC. I'll be ready when i get it!
Must add the Stubby! 5/16 x1-3/4 flat head! its bigger and much easier for the screws on camera and other bits! Never go to set without it! I also think adding a camera cover, space blanket something to cover the camera when you go to lunch or in case of bad weather!
Sorry I tried and didn’t hear back from them. But if you reach out let them know about the video and they may still grant the discount. They’re good peeps!
Hey there, brilliant and informative video!, I just wanted to ask, where do you get the erasers that attach onto the end of your Expo pens? I've looked long and far but can't find where they are / what they are called
NO !!!!!!!! Why have you got studio monitors that are not designed to be placed sideways, placed sideways. Those yams are upright only your really wasting the sound quality 😳😳😳
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. Vertical placement can help with the stereo sound field, but as with anything, I always recommend testing to see what works best for you. I've had my HS8's both vertical and sideways, and sideways is how they work best for me. When I have them vertical, the tweeters are too high and also block my TV. As it states in the Yamaha HS8 manual: "Position the tweeters at ear height. High frequencies are quite directional, so for the most accurate monitoring the speakers should be set up so that the tweeters are at approximately the same height as your ears when you’re seated at the listening position." And when I have them horizontal - this is how they sound best to me. I also have 2 other sets of monitors in my studio that I can A/B, so luckily not putting all our chickens in one basket there....But I appreciate you noticing that :) Have a good one and thanks for stopping by the channel!
Holy shit, man. Please, for the love of God, tone down the humor. You’re a very knowledgeable guy/channel, with great advice….but it’s overkill with the goofiness. Your expression and tone keeps reminding me of the child snatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Comes across more creepy than funny. Just being honest.
That's the spirit of Film Jams ol' boy! If you're uncomfortable, then you must be in the right place. And yes that is a follow focus in my pocket, but I'm also happy to see you!
You have the best worst humour! haha
Thanks for the tips
Haha I’ll take it! Much appreciated! And glad it was helpful 😆👍🎥
I almost fell off laughing due to the lens cleaning party music and lights... love the humor and knowledgable video!
Haha! Awesome :) thank you! Glad it was helpful!
Great vid!
Thank you! Appreciate that 😃🎥✌️

Good call on the cover! I thought the stubby was in there at 5:40 or is there a different one? Send me a link and I’ll add it! Thanks for watching!
Awesome video!
Thanks buddy! Appreciate you watching.
For a screwdriver, a LTT screwdriver will go a long way because of the long thinner shaft and the precise rachet mechanism
Good call! I need to add that to the list below - thanks for watching!
Very helpful video! :) Also appreciate all the subtle innuendos lol 😂
Thank you brother! Innuendos? No idea what you mean haha 😂
gotta love the cinebag, i love it more than my girlfriend
Haha! I don’t blame you 😂🎥🤘
Great video, where do most new ac’s look for jobs? Most RUclips channels don’t cover that aspect.
Thanks! We have a few videos on how to find work - check out Beginners Guide to Filmmaking or BizJams playlists.
Very informative video! Go Film Jams!!!
Thank you for watching! :)
What is a good run bag that is a decent size for everything id need as a second ac
I’ll throw a couple in the gear kit list for you below the video.
Good content. Do u have an updated code for Filter tags? Says it’s expired.
Ahh ok...let me message them! I'll see if I can get one for ya!
@@FilmJams awesome thank you 🤙🏽

Omg that’s a lot of tools
It is but so helpful to have!
Great video! I also think a leatherman or multi tool would be another good addition to the list!
Thanks very much! And good addition! Totally agree.

Thanks appreciate that!/ I believe that we bought them like that... I added a link below to the description (see text below video) to buy.
You're crazy. But I like ya.
I’ll take it. Thanks!
Never, ever, put any TAPE directly on a media card!. Especially on a CFast card. You will ruin your camera and the card. Yes, tape residue is a thing.
No you won’t. Use paper tape like we mention. Have been putting paper tape on cards for 15 years and never had a camera or a card go bad.

@@FilmJams Agreed, I place my desktop monitors sideways and find the difference in sound is negligible or better (all other things being equal).
@@thepropolys Hi Andrew! Right on...thanks for mentioning that and stopping by the channel. Have a good one!
You have to wear a 10’pound bag
That’s why you always go for the Mithril bag! Lighter and readily available in Rivendell camera store!
