    I loathed the Berlingo/Partner for as long as I could remember. However, that all changed when I came across a cheap 2013 model from a friend of mine. I bought and never looked back. They're actually quite an interesting van. Converted the front passenger seat from single to twin. Job is a goodun!
    Transit Connects are pricey, but probably worth the money.

      Adblue is unstable substance best is full up every month keep the tank full. Ford have a same problem. The most interesting about French cars is fact the weakness parts comes from Germany.

      I love my 2010 Partner L2. The new Partner is nice, but I don't like because they increased the distance between the wheels making it harder to handle. So I guess no one will make another care like Peugeot Partner L2 2010, which is a compact with almost 4 cubic meters of loading space.

    I drive a peugeot partner which essentially is the same as the citroen berlingo & nice comfortable van packed with features but it's left me twice on the highway, goes into limp mode when it feels like, spends weeks on end at the mechanic, the radio had to be sent to France for repairs as parking sensors & other features are controlled through the can bus I presume, dpf issues, something with the ad blue but it's not ad blue that's filled from under the van, it's a 2013 lwb still running fingers crossed

    I had the misfortune to drive almost exactly that Berlingo model for a year, and I don’t think I’ve ever hated a vehicle more. Uncomfortable, bouncy, absolutely no feel for what the front wheels are doing from the wheel. It was cheap and had CarPlay, but I utterly loathed the thing. Moved to a ‘19 Connect, and that is a superb van. Empty, it drives like a Ford Focus, massive fun. With all my crap loaded, it drives like a Focus with a rugby team on board. Really really nice to drive. Pricey compared to the Shitroen, mind.

    • @bemused3865
      @bemused3865 3 года назад +2

      The new shitroens are only getting worse. Now they have "lane assist", which actively snatches and grabs at the steering wheel whenever you go anywhere near a white line, and of course, the infamous french electrics making everything go wrong within the first 100k miles. I refused point blank to drive them anymore and insisted that the boss sort me out a sprinter to drive. If you really must have a small van, buy an old non-turbo, ex post office 55bhp escort van and scrap it when it inevitably falls apart from the rust. Cheaper to run, more comfortable to sit in, better to drive.

I've had all lights go out at same time - loads of weird things, like radio coming on before I get in, motor blower packed in. odd juddering once that no one could explain and now looking to get rid as dpf is getting blocked. They’re ok for a a one off with 3 guys over a short distance . The middle seat is great for storage or when flat is a good arm rest for the two remaining seats .

    That Ford is an automatic. is it one of those rubbish double clutch jobs or a proper torque converter automatic? I see you can get a proper auto on the 2023 Berlingo/Partner. You don't mention the Ford's reliability, is it as reliable as the Peugot/Citroen? I recently hired a Transit for a long run in Europe, it's a really good vehicle but the man running the hire company said he would not keep them past 100,000 miles as they were too h-tech to maintain properly.

    Ha ha ha ... This is the most idiotic display we have seen. Here you show off everything in the Citroen, and brag about everything in the cab, etc. But of the Ford, you don't even bother to take pictures of the beautiful dashboard and all the instruments. When it comes to Citroen, it is unsafe/dangerous to load heavy goods behind the passenger seats. It has no fuse. Only the seats.
    What if you have to brake suddenly with a heavy load behind the seats? Then you can get killed. This is not legal in EU countries. The Ford Connect is a much nicer car. It even has more extras than the Citroen. Connect has much better driving characteristics - Absolutely everything is better with Connect. LISTEN to the truth folks... Just search the web and you will understand that this young man is not telling you the truth.
