I bought Opel (Vauxhall) Vivaro 1.6cdti 125bhp 2017.yrs and I changed my opinion. The Opel is better than the Ford, much, much better I love it. Ford is better looking but quality is on the Vivaro side.

The weakest part on a Transit custom is the engine. The euro 5 models suffer from oil pump failure resulting in the need for a new engine. The euro 6 engines suffer from having a wet cambelt which rots resulting in either needing a new engine or approximate £1000 to change cambelt if you're lucky. It's a shame as they are excellent vans to drive.

Around 400 quid over 10,000 miles, is that massive? Seems like a small price for a much better van. In my experience the Vivaro costs so much more to run, you'll never see the saving from the fuel anyway, it'll just go on repairs
