Earlier this year I purchased the G4 and although I like it, when using an Apple TV device the picture tends to be dark and not as vibrant as I expected. When we finished building our house in Aug I purchased the S95D 77” and it absolutely blows both of my LG TVs out of the water. The S95 is brighter and clearers. Colors have a lot more depth also.
@@ZackSNetwork It is brighter. Every comparison shows this. But I know. You got suckered in by LGs paid shills and now defend your inferior TV. You made the wrong choice by buying an inferior technology TV. Imagine buying a WOLED for a premium when you could get a QD-OLED for less. This shows you how effective paid reviews actually are...
Over the weekend I bought a 55” FRAME for $899 and 55” S90D for $1,299 from Costco plus an extra $300 in discounts AND Free 3 year extended warranty on both which extends the initial 2 years to 5 total and free shipping. I almost got the S95D but the pros are negligible at this level and the cost savings basically gave me a free Onkyo RZ30 which is normally $1,299 but currently selling direct from Onkyo for $999. I’m building a new house and my current gear is 20 years old. I am quite happy this morning with my decision last night. Samsung Frame 55, Samsung 55 S90D, & Onkyo RZ30 for $2,900 !!!!🎉
Thanks KG. You are one of the very few reviewers who is not a paid shill for LG. How can anyone recommend the LG WOLEDs, when we have a clearly superior technology with QD-OLED? Its insane!
So basically no discount for black friday on the S90D 55" , right now and has been for weeks now the 55 is priced even lower than your projected black friday price of $1297, I was hopping for $1099 at least!
The unwillingness of Samsung and every retailer I checked to guarantee a QD-OLED panel for the S90D in the 77" size was a deal breaker. Given that every YT reviewer I watched called out the QD-OLED panel as the S90D's standout feature, the possibility of getting a different panel without any notice seemed a bit too close to fraud. So I'm the happy owner of a C4.
Yo KG so many choices. Me personally would go for the S90C 65 inch for $1000.00 bucks. Can't be it for value and 65 inch is a good size for a lot of people. Some people can't fit 75 to 115 inch TVS in their space.😊
Yes S84 D is a best buy exclusive. Exact same as the S85 however best buy installs 70W Speakers in the TV making them slightlty better. As far as everything else goes same TV good luck hunting.
For movies and console gaming, would you recommend the 77" S90D or the G4, cost is no issue. Would love to hear the why behind your recommendation. Appreciate your time.
Omg, G4. The S95D is comparable to the G4 if you are going back and forth and from everything I’d say go G4. Idk whether the C4 vs the S90D is the right choice
Hoping the 115” TCL goes in a Black Friday sale. Thinking of just buying it for $20K at Best Buy and now and hoping it goes on sale before the holiday price match expires
Hi KG, I asked this question in an older video but will ask again here being one day old. I really want the 77" S90D but waiting for price to drop but the 65" S90C is now $999.99 and 5 yr. warranty is $219.99, is the S90C still relevant and worth picking up and is buying the 5 yr warranty wise also? Thanks
it’s the exact same as the s90d. Depending on what size you have had you will have either qd OLED panel or the woled panel. Only the 65” of that model is qd OLED.
Hey buddy... new to your channel and I did subscribe.....so the tv i own now is the vizio p55-f1 and this is the only decent quality tv I've own. I've had it now for 5 yrs and looking to buy something better. Would I notice a better picture quality with the Samsung s90d? I watch RUclips Netflix and prime video. THANKS FOR ANY HELP
I had the S90D and returned it. It’s a no brainer not to buy. Had motion issues on 24p movies, the Operating system was terrible, brightness was limited on certain sources, Standard definition doesn’t look good at all, I’ve no idea if this has anything to do with upscaling but it looked really bad almost unwatchable. I would go for LG or Sony for OLED, or stick with mini LED has less problems.
@Moose185 takes a bit of configuration to get the perfect image, just like any TV it takes getting used to. But it's a phenomenal display, im on the woled model & even though people complain I think it's great
77 90d is shite if you get WOLED. Saw it in 3 different places. No way comparable to OD OLED. SHITE and way worse than LG. Dont trust these guys. They may not even have the panel for testing.
KG, I watch you everytime. I have followed your recommendations and respect your reviews. I already own an S90C, so fine there. My question is, I just bought a 65in Samsung QN 90C from Best Buy for $1199 this week . Did I buy a good tv at a bargain or not. Please just consider that tv. I have seen all the comparisons with Hisense and I wanted the Samsung QN90C. So, good deal or not? Thank you.
@TechWithKG Thanks, your response is very appreciated. You are a man of the people! I totally agree with you on the QN90D.These days I would not buy a tv that has to be professionally calibrated right out of the box, even if that would make it slightly better than the QN90C. I saw the 65in Sony Bravia 7 for $1399 too, and it was exceedingly bright in retail mode! It was $1399 but not in my best use case even though that tv is also a great buy.
@Soldier-cu7hx I like my s95c but do have blackouts on the ps5. I'm considering getting another 95c or 95d just can't make my mind up about the matte finish
My issue with them is I'm worried they have a camera in it. I have a 5 year nu6900 theres red light on the bottom of Samsung TV. I just wonder if they snuck one in each tv.

I have the S95D and S90C. I can say the S95D is a huge upgrade. The tone mapping is way better, and the semi-matte has not been an issue to me.
Have you suffered from screen burn?
Is the matte funish really matte, or is it more of a semi gloss?
@@sonicboom4053 There is no screen burn at all. My other TV, the S90C, also has no screen burn
@@lamjk10It’s not a real matter display it’s a screen reflector that defuses light. It appears as a regular matte display though.

Motion and artifacts on Samsung oleds is the worst of all oleds. It’s fine for gaming but movies it’s not. G4 or Sony win
None of them for my bright room. Just ordered the Samsung QN90D 85" yesterday.
C4 or S90D W-oled for movies and watching sports? No gaming. (In my country there's no g4 or s95d in the 77" that I need. So no QD-OLED option)
If in us the last 4 digits of the model number is FXZA for the S90D. Should I assume that is W-OLED considing the UK example?
That would be QD OLED
@TechWithKG thank you
If the S90D doesn't have the matte screen, does it have better picture depth vs the S95D? More 3D-like?
No that doesn’t make any difference like that in actual viewing.
@@TechWithKG I thought that used to be the case with the OG LG OLED's. Glossy finish and better depth than anti-reflective coatings.
