I bought these back in 2000's and they're still in my bag today. The shallow face just fits my swing and looks good to my eye. Re-shafted them shortly after I got them with Fujikura 952 shafts and they just went to the next level. I've been using the 3 and 5 woods since the day I bought them. I added the matching 7 wood just this year when I admitted to myself that I'm 49 years old and no longer in my 20s. I enjoyed your video. Thanks.

Same here. In 2003, a buddy of mine bought a 3 wood and told me to try it. One shot is all it took for me to buy the 3, 5, and 7 woods and still have them in my bag. Best 3 wood ever made. Put Aldila VS PROTO's 65-S in them to stiffen them up. I'm 55 and still rip that 3 wood (that's subjective) dead straight every time. And that solid sound and feel just can't be beat even after 20 yrs.

@@kepler240 Nice. As I said in my earlier comment, I just picked up the 7 wood last year. It's become my go to club when a round goes south on me and my swing has fallen apart. It's just an automatic 170 - 180 yards on a rope. Even on a 500-550 yard par 5, I'll go 3 swings with the 7 wood and get a GIR. Wow, I just realized I've started playing old man golf.

@@alexli4942 I hear ya. These are the straightest woods I've ever hit. I had to yank my 5 iron out and put in an old school Adams Idea A30S 5 hybrid which are phenomenal clubs by the way and cheap too. We're both old enough to have seen clubs come and see clubs go, but there's only a few that stand out like these.

TGIF!!! Never hit one I had the Mizuno T-Zoid Blue Rage at the time. Decent club even today.

Sonartec had Nick Price as a contract player I believe, Furyk, Duval, and Azinger used their fairway woods. We all know how Todd Hamilton got along with their hybrid (won the 2004 British Open). Thanks Vintage Golfer for a great offering. Geoff.

I definitely remember these Sonartec's when they first came out, a demo day at the driving range in Del Mar California, another "new" brand was next to them called Sunami. I hit a bunch of these with all the different shafts ,,, and actually hit them really good. The sonartec Md hybrid wasn't around yet, I've got two of those. At that time I used a steel shafted PRGR type 200i driving iron, still have that too, as my next club from driver, lol! That should explain how much I liked woods, even now I'm like Iron Man..

My buddy handed me this 3 wood in 2003 to try because he liked his so much. I hit one shot and then bought the 3, 5 and 7 woods and still have them in my bag. This model is the BEST 3 wood ever made!!! The sound and feel are unbeatable and that's because of the fairly heavy steel head. Just dead straight every time and that feel and sound....ew we. It sounds NOTHING like it does on this video. It's got a solid ring to it when you catch it flush.

Hey could you help me out getting more info on a set of irons. Daiwa HT 2000 low profile. I think they are from the early 90s.

I remember these being pretty pricey when they came out, quite a bit more expensive than a Titleist fairway wood of the same year.

I used an older Adams 3 wood. Has the speed slot. Works!!

Hey, found your channel looking up Mizuno blades. I have a vintage club I’ve not been able to find info on. It is a Klick-Rite forged steel chrome plated 9 iron, wooden shaft and leather bound grip it appears. Have had it for probably a decade, got it from an antique shop when I was younger. Do you know anything about these?

Sonartec? Never heard of them. Back then it was Olimar. In fact I picked up two brand new Olimar fairway woods. Unused, heads and grips are still shrink wrapped.
