BIG AL! The 1998 Callway big bertha steelhead 3wood. I still have it in my bag and can knock it 260 and I don't have near your swing speed. I can fade it, draw it, hit it high, hit it low, hit it off the deck, off the t, and out of the rough. It is truly one of the best clubs ever made. And the SOUND! The SOUND MANNNN!!!
Plz do T2T. Love to see the comparison of technology in the past 20 years
i still play with a V steel 3 and 5 wood. Put speeder shafts in both 15 years ago. never came close to replacing.

Best 3 wood ever was the Callaway Steelhead Plus for me. I loved that thing!
Simon Bratt I agree 100%. The stainless steel “tink” sound that it made was so satisfying. The closest I have found to it was the old Ping i20, but still not as satisfying.
The Taylormade V Steel and the Callaway Steelhead plus we’re both phenomenal!
Only just retired my V Steel. Ok I killed it by hitting a bell on a follow through. I can't talk about it, beyond upsetting.

I graduated highschool in '01. You forgot about Sega Dreamcast. Between my college roommates and me, we had every console N64, PS2, Xbox, and Dreamcast all in our house. Too bad I wasn't serious about golf back then but do remember most of these clubs. There was some bangers made back then for sure

My V Steel 3 wood has played almost every round of golf with me since I bought it new! I am on shaft #3, though.

I had a t/s 13 degrees v steel and it was an absolute flying machine
I got one of these to replace my titleist PT13 back in the day, 13 degree loft and a Grafaloy blue shaft, it went almost as far as my driver, a true weapon.
I'm new to the game and game the 3 and 5 wood. Really like the clubs.

I had V-Steel, but dug up the course with it. I couldn't wield it. Please review the Tour Exotics CB2 fairway wood.
Still carry the 13° & 15° TM V w MAAS G STIFFY , nearly impossible to replace.

Definitely have to do the t2t and best fairway iv ever had was a 13° v steel tp model and currently use a r7 tp steel head

Get a tour issue one with the paint break and have it shafted with one that fits you. I think that will even the playing field with the new fairways.

I never got around to the V Steel, I saw it around a ton though. I was firmly in the Firesole camp.
Having both consoles is the absolute dream!!
Still here... right to the bitter end 😂. 300 yards, off the deck, with a 20 yr old 3 wood... just crazy.

Alex, I was surprised that the regular shaft did not have more of a hooking effect on your shots. Makes me think if the shaft in the fairway woods really don't matter at all. What is your thoughts on this?

Al, I have a question for you/ With your clubhead speed how are you able to swing a reg flex shaft. Does this affect the way in which you swing this club? If it had a stiff or X flex would you hit it any further?

My new flash has been best 3 wood for me have only had 3 since high school 2004 the Callaway bertha warbirds so so awesome still say they would hold up td amd the had a razor fit extreme till it broke 😪 then finally got another one the flash and its just amazing
Sonartec NP51 13 degree was the best fairway I had, probably not good enough to hit one now though..😣
AL we need a #T2T the difference in tech. However needs to be similar shaft

I dunno but weird thinking here but does a regular shaft on a 3 wood make it easier to hit rather than a stiff one. But in fairness callaway did make the best 3 woods at one time

I just switched from V-steel T/S 13* for the ping Pong G400 strength 12* I bet u would have that if u put a new graphite shaft in it....

If fairways are the thing at the moment. Might I suggest the original Adam's tight lies. With its inverted head shape or whatever they called it. The original "playable from any lie" club.

Have 18 holes with Set of 20 yo clubs. That’s what I do weekly. See if it makes a difference
