Sydney…you are such a lovely young lady. I watched your original story about the staph infection and how it pressed on your spine. I was very impressed with your calmness and your ability to describe everything you felt. I lost my 16 year old daughter in a car accident eleven years ago. Her spinal cord was severed at the neck. I know you’ll continue to work hard at all you do. I hope you’ll continue to be a spokesperson for those with spinal cord injuries. ❤

I love your 'Theatre of the Sea' sweatshirt! I used to live just down the road from there in Marathon. Ironically, I had MRSA/MSSA/Diphtheria in my Thoracic Spine (T9-T12), and my right leg is partially paralyzed from it, along with parts of my body core (it's nearly impossible for me to bend over or twist). I'm glad you're doing so well, and have so much energy!

I wanted to say how much your videos have inspired me to realize how many things I take for granted in life. Ever since your video two years ago explaining your accident I have enjoyed your life journey and just amazing progress. I know many people would feel the need to give up, but seeing you persevere has given my life, and many others a new light. Hi Sydney good morning happy Thursday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you and I enjoy your channel
I feel bad for myself because I'm 33 have had osteoarthritis since I was 15 and need a total knee replacement which is 25 years below the average age. Then I watch your videos and realize it could definitely be worse. Way stronger than I would be for sure you are an inspiration to say the least.

Thanks for the update. Do you think you might continue your RUclips videos when you start college? That would be entertaining to come along for the ride as you are immersed into a whole new world. Assuming, of course, that you'd have the time to do videos, edit, etc. (which I can only assume is a very involved process from what I've seen of other "RUclipsrs"). Cheers.

I just found your channel and your story, and I think you are an inspiration. I honestly am terrified of the fact that there's a strong chance that I could end up loosing use of my legs as I have a form of spinal degeneration caused by an auto accident. Even more so, the fact that you had a staph infection go to your spine is just amazingly terrifying. I have personally ended up in the ER twice for strep infections, and the first time it nearly killed me as I developed Rheumatic Fever which is septic strep, and my mom was told if the infection didn't clear I probably would loose my leg and possibly develop neurological issues and the main one is paralysis. I didn't become paralyzed, but I did break my neck when I was 15, and somehow didn't become a C-2 parapalegic, but I feel the effects of it everyday including occasional numbness, and a form of sleep paralysis from my TBI.

I saw a video the other day with a new piece of technology with AI helping people in wheelchairs walk. It looked promising. It looks difficult being in a wheelchair. I think you should do another q&a video
Of course, she must have down days. We all do! We are all on this mortal coil for what, in reality, amounts to a blink of an eye in the overall annals of time. Whatever your situation, live life to the full!❤❤❤

Sydney you are very beautiful young girl you are doing everything that I did and still do as a handicap person to. Drive my own Van with my Hands go places by myself etc.. Many People don't Understand what when we are born Natural Handicap Persons everything for seem to be Normal. At lest for me it is yea sometime you wonder what it would like to be normal None Handicap but guess what I rather be this way than been normal Actually I think it will be hard to adapt backward to normal I think only me think this way lol Good Luck to you Sydney Enjoy your life and don't let anything or anybody Stop you. How do you get into the wheel chair from the drivers seat? I’m sorry if this is a dumb question.
I have quadriparesis and I’m hoping to get my own wheelchair when I get approved for ssi. I have had muscle weakness for 3years still don’t know what’s cause it my back is starting to be affected now

Hi ur videos have been inspiring while I’m going through this hard time I currently can’t walk again for the second time in 4 months n I’m pregnant and doctors said has nun to do with the baby they think it’s a neurological issue but not for sure went to two hospitals they did not have any wheelchairs available so sent me home n I’m still having to drag myself around n take care of my two toddlers I made a RUclips video I’m trying to get help getting the video shared n get help n support I can get
