I am 15 and my doctors suspect multiple sclerosis, so it's inspiring to see someone with mobility challenges living a normal routine and doing fun, new things!
Grumpy old Dan sent me. The man has little class, himself, but his recommendations are GOLDEN. And you, Sydney, are a true inspiration. At 75 I thought I'd done stuff - but you got it ALL. You are an inspiration - really.Thank You for your bravery and for sharing!
My empathy for you is sincere. My wife (deceased) was paralyzed (quad) in 1982 in a horrible traffic accident (went off Rabbit Ears Pass in a blizzard). Sydney you are my little rock star!!! God bless!!! You are an incredible inspiration to all those who doubt their ability to succeed in some fashion at everything they put their minds to. Congratulations!!! The world needs many, many more role models like you!!!
Wow, Sydney! What a ray of sunshine you have shined in this old man's life! Saw you skiing on Dan Gryder's channel. ad to come here. I'm blessed with being able to learn to walk again after a medical issue caused lots of atrophy. I'm grateful for my opportunity and you showed me without a doubt I can do it. Have a wonderful life and keep on inspiring us!
So glad that Dan posted his video recently on your latest waterskiing. It’s good to see another Para, was a quad, learning things aren’t impossible but rather we just have to adapt to make things work our way!! Very proud of you and you being an inspiration for others.
Dan and I love you, kid. I understand the forearm strength it would take anybody to plane that neat chair ski. You are beautiful and you are a rock star.
Just saw Dan's water skiing video and blown away by Ms. Fowler's ski skills. I had to smile and nod when I saw she makes her bed first thing. That's important because it is your first accomplishment of the day and starts your mind off with the discipline required to accomplish anything of significance in your life. I wish you the best of everything Ms. Fowler. You are a very impressive person.
Over here from Dans channel. My brother in law is a quadriplegic- since age 17 (diving accident). He is 50 now, married and is just as normal as anyone else. Mobility of limbs is surely a challenge but so is life. This young lady has a future and she is right on about just being herself for her RUclips channel. You want people here because of who you are and what you do , not some big time production and not your “real life” if you will.
The advice to just be yourself is 110% correct. I stumbled onto you from your video explaining how you became paralyzed…and stayed because you are an amazing young lady/person. Keeping being YOU! I am loving your videos and catching-up on your story. Everyone has good days and bad days but keep reminding yourself that you are incredible. You have such a bright future. Can’t wait to see what your future holds!
Great job! You are definitely an inspiration to us all. For a few decades I had a dear, dear friend that was a quad. She had polio back in the 1950’s. They said that she would never live but she made it past her 60th birthday! She was larger than life and was completely unstoppable. She inspired so many every day. She passed a few years back. My life has definitely been richer from having known her. You remind me of her. Keep doing what you do!
Sydney, I just watched you “fly” on Dan Gryder’s channel …I’m a 73yo man who recently lost my best friend (friends for 58 years) who had polio before we met and was on crutches … a few years back, he lost all feeling below the waist from botched back surgery … he was never My friend on crutches or My friend in a power chair … he was just My friend … we played in band together, we swam together, we played tennis together, we rode my motor scooter together, we flew (I’m a pilot) together, we even dated together with girls who were best friends … I miss him more than I thought possible and your video reminded me so much of him … I loved his spirit and I love that same spirit in you … best of luck in all your endeavors and I just subscribed to your channel …
Sidney, you're a girl with the right stuff. That can-do attitude of yours is the key to happiness and a life well lived. I'm just an old guy that followed a recommendation from Dan Gryder to witness your journey. You really touched my heart and soul with your spirit. You have drive and determination, and a gift for sharing that inspiration with others. Keep doing what you do.
Hi Sydney, I'm new to your channel! This video was in my recommended. I want to say I admire your independancy. You may be a paraplegic, but you're clearly not letting that get you down. You drive yourself to the places you have to be, you do everything you can do help yourself etc and I have much respect. So many times have I seen paralysed teens or adults just give up on life and rely on others to take them from A to B, or don't leave the house at all. Keep up the good work and I wish you so much happiness for the future!
Came here based on the referral from Dan’s channel I'm 80 years old and in PT too so I can relate to that. Hope your scans turn out OK and they can help you with those problems.
Sydney, located you from Dan Gryder's channel. You are an inspiration to everyone and just flat out mentally tuff. You may not realize it but you are a support resource for both the young and old. My best to you,
I saw you on Dan Gryder’s Channel, “Probable Cause”. You are an inspiring young woman who gives hope to everyone you come in contact with. God Bless you!
Came here based on the referral from Dan’s channel... Your positive attitude towards everything is so amazing. Don’t let anything slow you down or limit your enthusiasm!
Just a ‘hello’ from Hartlepool in NE England. Stumbled across you thanks to Dan Gryder - a pretty down-to-earth tyoe of fella whose reaction to your escapades on water was really touching. Wishing you all the very best and thanks for giving so many of us a lift. Love your normality when so much around you isn’t. X
Syd, Your strength, courage, and will power inspire me to live my best life, everyday. I was 26 when I was diagnosed with APL, which is a rare and aggressive Leukemia (caused by nasty chemicals used on advanced military jet engines). That was 12 years ago, and you remind me, that strength is found in many places. Thank You for the Inspiration
Hey girl! I know your purpose, it is to be here and help others find the joy in their lives! I know the ups and downs can be hard, but you have so many things to look forward too and you are so perfect!
Thanks for letting us spend a day with you Sydney. I'm 72 and it's amazing what you have taught me in 20 minutes. I'll keep watching and praying for positive results from your CT-Scans. Let us know if you can. Most of all, don't change.
Sydney - Dan recommended your skiing video. Your strength and perseverance are an inspiration! Prayers you get your pain sorted. Please keep up with the videos so we can see how you are doing. Best to you!
I saw you on Dan Gryder's channel, and here I am. You are an amazing young women and great inspiration for everyone! Keep doing what you do and all the best luck to you!
I’m here from Dan gryders channel. The people need you. You are such an amazing soul. You may not even realize yet that this was your soul plan. To overcome and share your inspiration with the world. You are helping so many people by taking that first step for so many others. Bless you and your family for helping support you in your amazing journey of Light Work. Next up, flight training with Dan?
I'm another fan of Dan, and his video of you "flying" was his best ever! Always remember, "This life is just a spiritual test, nothing more and nothing less." And I think you are acing your test Sydney, you are very inspiring!
A fellow social water skier from Sydney, Australia stopping by to let you know how much of a legend you are. I saw you carving turns on Dan's channel. Keep being a kick arse inspiration to us all 👍
Hi Sydney. I saw your appearance on Dan Gryder's channel a couple days ago. Seeing you skiing was quite inspiring, and for me a bit reminiscent. I was involved in a motorcycle accident in June of 1994, exactly one month after my 21st birthday. A fellow pulled out in front of me and left me nowhere to go but to lay down the bike and total his car with my head (I've always been pretty hard headed). When I hit the car, my head stopped, but the rest of my body did not. The torque bashed my T4 vertebrae, damaging my spinal cord, splintering ribs which poked holes in my lungs, and other nasty stuff. I spent two weeks in intensive care where they got me stable enough to fuse my vertebrae back together and install a couple metal rods to keep my spine stable. At the end of all that, I was crippled with a T4 complete SCI. I had a hundred precent above and nothing below my injury level. I moved over to the Shepherd Spinal Center and did a couple months of rehab. So anyhow, with that background, here's the reminiscent part. Shepherd used to sponsor (I think, they at least had something to do with it) a camp in Alabama called Adventure Skills. They may still do it, I'm not sure. It was basically a camp for crippled (and otherwise disabled) folks to go and try out all sorts of outdoor activities. Some of the activities required modified equipment and some of them just required a slightly modified approach. There were things like rope climbing, jet skis, kayaks, horseback riding, and water skiing. My two favorites were the jet skis and water skiing. I found that I could not be as adventurous on the jet ski as I was prior to my injury. I tried it and ended up getting thrown off. That was no fun because getting back on from the water was really tough. It was not long after my injury, so I had not developed the muscles needed to do the work of legs which no longer wished to participate. Skiing was a different story. After figuring out how to get up on the ski, I could be as adventurous as I had been pre-injury on water skis and knee boards and whatnot. So you inspired me with the water skiing video, hopefully I can be at least a little bit inspiring in return. Six years ago, I passed the point where I had lived more of my life crippled that I had able bodied. So, I've been doing this quite a while, almost 28 years. Probably the best advice I can give based on all the experience and trials I've been through during that time: keep pushing, never give up, and don't let anyone tell you, "it can't be done." If you have enough drive and passion, you can figure out a way. I always wanted to learn to fly. I found a school that had a piper cherokee outfitted with a hand control for the rudder pedals. I had always enjoyed driving a manual transmission car. I couldn't find where that had ever been done with hand controls (not that it hadn't, I just couldn't find it - this was before the internet). I tried several designs until I finally came up with something that works. Now whenever I go to buy a car, I look for a stick shift. The seller usually looks at me like I've got three heads, but once I get it to the house I get it rigged up so that I can safely drive it. Those are just examples from my experience and I'm sure your passions are different from mine. I'm just saying that if you want to do it, don't give up until you figure out a way. Keep pushing!
Old Man Dan sent me too! And I am glad he did as you are a highly talented young lady with determination and drive to keep going forward and never looking back! You go girl!
Told Dan Gryder that was BEST video hes ever done, great ta see you living LIFE,,, Life gave u a lemon, and you made lemonade I SALUTE you Sidney on a job well done...Thank you for inspiring the rest of us ........................
Dan sent me! Hope you don’t mind another old guy follower, at one point in my life mobility was a big challenge to me and seeing you at the walker put a big smile on my face whether or not you intend it you are inspiring people.
Just want to add my congratulations and echo most of the comments below. Thank you for sharing your inner thoughts as well as the depiction of how you overcome all challenges. You have inspired me today. Please remember you also have the right to privacy whenever you need it for a rest. You won't be disappointing anyone or letting them down. I wish all success to your channel - and especially to *you.*
Dan Gryders video just had me in tears........ tears of happiness, Sydney your will power is astounding !!!!! I think your words in this video are spot on .... "People watch you, because they like who you are" don't feel like you have to "Put on a show" just live your life and keep "doing what you do" Best wishes Chris London, England U.K. 🇬🇧
Loved seeing you water skiing on Dan's channel. You can do anything. Girl power rules. Never stop what you are doing. thanks for being a leader and inspiration to all of those who need some encouragement. what you are doing is powerful and significant. You are also a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul.
You are an amazing person with and even better outlook on life. Love seeing you make the most of it. Keep it up!👍 I broke my back when i was 14. Shattered L1-L2. T12 and L3 where cracked. They did a T12-L3 fusion on me. They told my parents id be lucky if i could ever walk normal again. I came out of the hospital and no one could hold me back. I was back riding my back and hanging out with friends within a couple weeks of being home. That was 34 years ago and im atill going strong.
Old fellow named Dan told me to come here. Saw you skiing and thought you were having a great time out there--truly an inspiration for sure. Looking at the comments everyone else thinks so too. Good luck with your channel and....don't let anyone ever tell you that you can't do something. Carry on.
You have no idea how much your videos mean to people or how much they inspire others. IM 27 and all I know to say is just keep going and pushing forward no matter what obstacles get in your way. I’m sure you’ve heard a million versions of that but it’s just too true not to reassure of it. 💕
Hi Sydney!!! 👋🏼 I just want to say how greatful I am that you take the time to post so regularly and the level of quality content you create is astounding! It has really helped me with my mental health recently as I have had quite a tough time with a newly diagnosed illness that is taking a massive toll on my school life as I am 15 and doing lots of mock exams in the UK at the moment :/ people were making fun of me because I have episodes where I can't breathe and I faint and it was really hard, but I always try to think of how you would stay calm and positive and explain to them what is happening and not get frustrated. Thank you again A very greatful subscriber from the uk xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Just found your channel, through a mutual friend. The old man , ( Dan. )who went water Skiing with you. You, truly are a inspiration, to all who meet you . Keep making your videos , love your spirit !!!
Just saw you water ski over on Dans channel! What an athlete!! You’re a beautiful young lady Sidney. I’m just sad you had to go through EMOTIONAL DAMAGE by seeing Dan take off his shirt! I must admit you put your make up on much better than I do
Good morning Sydney, keep up being you. Saw your story on Dan’s channel. That skiing was amazing. You can do anything you put your mind too. Keep being an inspiration to all.
So glad Dan featured you on his channel. You are such an inspiration to others and you also made a lot of men cry. Best of luck to you in anything you choose to do in life.😍
I enjoyed seeing your ski apparatus, and I admire you for using it. I just got an Offroad mobility scooter and have been enjoying just looking around places I can’t walk but want to. Keep it up, you’ll do great!
Dan sent me to thank you for sharing your awesome waterskiing talent. i knew you were an inspiring young woman and i pray you have many more followers soon. God bless you and yours 🙏 i 💜💜💜 your 😻!!! Such big ears😽
Dan sent me, now honored to follow you, as well. You, young lady, are an inspiration on many levels to tens of thousands of friends you may never meet. Feel their love and admiration. Carry on and God bless. You are judged by the company you keep, and Dan is fine, fine company. All best to you and thank you.
You are AMAZING and never let anyone tell you that you are not! My life changed in an accident and I lost my right leg, I didn’t have any physio for two years as the wound wouldn’t heal, I now have a prosthesis but I can’t use it I was so poorly I collapsed at home rushed to hospital, my kidneys failed from covid, I was once again unable to have physio as I then had pneumonia, I am now suffering from horrendous phantom pains, I have to say they are horrific and the itching where there is no leg is cruel I go nuts! You are a very beautiful, independent woman, your personality and humour is great and you have such a wonderful intelligence, your future is definitely very bright! ❤️❤️❤️
You are awesome! Thanks for the inspiration to everyone with your positive attitude. Your dad is right about your natural self being the best. No pressure…people appreciate real in a world of over produced fake things. Stay strong and keep up the good work! PS, heard about you on Dan’s aviation channel.
Best advice I ever heard for influencers. Make videos about what you love and other people will love it too. And stay true and real to yourself. You’re doing amazing. Don’t doubt yourself.
Sounds like a hiatal hernia for the eating issue…hope the tests give some results! Fun water skiing with a course to do too. Stay positive ☺️. Remember that failing forward is a good thing.
You’re super beautiful but more importantly, you have the right attitude, heart and, you inspire everyone! It’s fun to watch you doing things like water skiing but, if you just sat here and talked with us, showing us your personality, that is sufficient. You have a great personality! Don’t overthink the content. We really just like YOU.🙌🏻🌸🕊 I’m into arts and crafts so, if you ever wanted to do something like create a beaded bracelet or necklace, that would be a great video to make for the crafting world. I would love to see something like that or drawing, painting, mixed media or even photography. I also love animals so it would be cool if you went to a horse ranch / farm / zoo / aquarium. Showing yourself doing things that many quadriplegics think they cannot do would be very inspirational for them. Just some ideas. 😉☺️
Sydney, you ARE an inspiration to us all. You are wise beyond your years and have an awesome future. You do YOU with your channel and you'll be just fine. Life is a roller coaster, so enjoy the ride. We have to have some lows ins order to appreciate the highs. Crusty ol' Dan Gryder sent a bunch of us over here and I'm pretty sure a lot of us are gonna subscribe and stick around. If your lucky, you'll only get the nice ones and not the argumentative one's that like to hate on Dan. LOL
Awesome job! Nothing is out of the question, makes me feel pretty small as I need two skiis, but unlike Dan I can keep them on. If you're ever in Texas let us know. You are inspirational!
Hi Sydney, like many others today I came here from Dan's channel - and subscribed. You are truly inspirational. Small world too, I live just 10 minutes from your ski club! Best wishes for a great summer - maybe Dan will get you up flying in the near future?!
Wow just saw you water skiing with Dan Gryder. Thank you so much both of you! I’ve subscribed to Sydneys channel to get a wow lift. I don’t want to talk about myself , but this has inspired me to see if I can still climb into a Cessna 172 and work the rudder and brakes with my right leg below the knee amputation and now prosthetic.
hi sydney. just hopped over from dan gryders channel. wow! youre pretty amazing. i thought from dans video youd been doing the waterskiing thing for awhile. ive got severe arthritis, and hurt all the time. ive got some mobility issues but can get around under my own steam most of the time. its pretty easy to feel bitter, and grumpy and feel sorry for myself sometimes. but its pretty hard to after seeing you getting out there living life. that in and of itself is pretty inspiring to me. you dont need to do backflips to be inspiring. just showing up for life can be pretty inspiring sometimes. dotn feel you need to push yourself too hard for the sake of others. just be yourself. it seems like youve got the motivation part covered in spades! yeah not every day can be a good day, but each day is a new opportunity. its easy to forget that sometimes. anyway, stay strong and keep pushing your limits. oh, and give kitty scritches from me!!!
Hey Sydney! Dan Gryder sent me here with his heart full of respect and gratitude ! May God bless you and keep you in His hands as you are a blessing to all who learn about you!
Was made aware of your channel by Dan... Keep up the great work you are doing. Your determination and energy is a lesson to us all that we can really do anything we want if we want it... Best wishes from the UK. 🙂
Somebody called 'Dan" brought me here. We all think he's an idiot, gladfully he doesn't know that. Most of the community just likes what he does for canines. You are an amazing person, and we look forward to seeing more of your posts! Don't 'believe'.. You CAN fly. Seeing that you like 'Outerbanks': You also might like "Vampire Weekend" (band) Cheers from Amsterdam!
Dan is real and a great guy. I love his channel and what he stands for. Not everyone can like each other but at least he is honest and you see what you get.
Saw your video water skying in Dan's channel I was really impressed! I was looking for a good old Rant-by-Dan and instead got blown away by what you can do -Just awesome!
I’m here from Dan’s channel. Keep doing great things young lady. As a younger man, I used to enjoy skiing as well. As an older man, I just enjoy watching others. I don’t heal up like I used to. You ought to take a flight with Dan sometime. It’ll change your perspective on the world. There’s a lot of it out there. Sending positive vibes from North Carolina. Much love🤙🏻
Sydney saw you on Dan’s Probable Cause channel. So glad I watched it as you are one brave young lady. Keep living your life to the fullest as you are a inspiration to many.
Hello Sydney! I just discovered you on here and I must say that I'm sincerely impressed with your attitude in relation to everything you have been through. I'm a paraplegic myself, born with Spina Bifida and so I know first hand what you're going through. Obviously our situations are a bit different but our attitudes are just the same! You are an inspiration, you are such a pretty, young lady and I look forward to seeing your journey unfold as you continue to move forward in your life!! Thanks for sharing with all of us!!
OMG! Only 16? ! She is breathtaking! Should be a model for sure! I’m going to FF this to 17 Magazine! Look at that classic beautiful face! DAMN! Honestly I am still in shock when I watched her get ready and noticed her facial structure and the way she carries herself with such dignity and self-respect. Girl you are most definitely headed for big things!
Definitely you need to just be you! Some days will be amazing and some days will suck, this is the same for all of us! It was nice to see you go water skiing! Hope you have a awesome summer!
You are just amazing! You inspire me! Just watched you water sit skiing! I just subbed to your channel! You are perfect in every way beautiful girl. Came from Dan Gryder's channel.
I love the consistent uploads. I enjoy the videos the way they are, you just being yourself. What happens with most channels, many I formerly supported, is they grow, they change, they start basically faking it, and I lose interest. I hope your medical results were good. I have the issue when eating, in my case I'm assuming its stress causing it though.
I just found U, blown away by your positivity and strength. Know that u have given many others hope and a brand new lease on life. Appreciate that so very much. Wish u everything good in this World. Your parents must be so very proud:)
Prayers that your get answers on your health sweetheart. Yes don’t put so much pressure on yourself. You are an amazing person just being you. 💐💐🌸🌷 Blessings
Dan's video brought me here. Nothing will stop you, Sydney. Keep making videos and keep inspiring us to be humble and thankful for what we have. Peace! Bob, London UK ;-)

Very well said! With a paraplegic uncle I have seen first hand the challenges and Sydney spirit is a-m-a-z-i-n-g! A true inspiration
Dan is saving lives
You may not call that class,
But I do. And I forgive you

Hi Sydney, I saw you "sit skiing" on Dan's channel. You are amazing & your spirit flies high. You're going places - such an inspiration!
Syd,
Your strength, courage, and will power inspire me to live my best life, everyday. I was 26 when I was diagnosed with APL, which is a rare and aggressive Leukemia (caused by nasty chemicals used on advanced military jet engines). That was 12 years ago, and you remind me, that strength is found in many places. Thank You for the Inspiration
Another Gryder fan and long time water skier saying I’m totally impressed with the water ski accomplishment. BRAVO! You are the hero.
Hey girl! I know your purpose, it is to be here and help others find the joy in their lives! I know the ups and downs can be hard, but you have so many things to look forward too and you are so perfect!

"People watch you, because they like who you are"
don't feel like you have to "Put on a show" just live your life and keep "doing what you do"
Best wishes
Chris

Loved seeing you water skiing on Dan's channel. You can do anything. Girl power rules. Never stop what you are doing. thanks for being a leader and inspiration to all of those who need some encouragement. what you are doing is powerful and significant. You are also a beautiful woman with a beautiful soul.
You are an amazing person with and even better outlook on life. Love seeing you make the most of it. Keep it up!👍
I broke my back when i was 14.
Carry on.
This video came in perfect timing, long videos always help me focus while doing chores ect. ✨💓 Thank you for your content Sydney
You have no idea how much your videos mean to people or how much they inspire others. IM 27 and all I know to say is just keep going and pushing forward no matter what obstacles get in your way. I’m sure you’ve heard a million versions of that but it’s just too true not to reassure of it. 💕
Will you please give us an update once your results come back? Thank you for sharing your life with us! ❤️
Thank you again
A very greatful subscriber from the uk xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What an inspiration you are Sydney. Loved seeing you ski with Dan... Great job!
Just found your channel, through a mutual friend. The old man , ( Dan. )who went water Skiing with you. You, truly are a inspiration, to all who meet you . Keep making your videos , love your spirit !!!
So glad Dan posted your vid Sydney. What a GREAT inspiration you are!
God bless you and yours
🙏
i 💜💜💜 your 😻!!!
Here from Grumpy Dan but this girl is amazing..... best wishes from Australia you are a great skier...
Hey Sydney, just watched Dan Gryder ( the trained ballet dancer) video of his 3 point landing and your water flying skills. Very entertaining!
Your dads right.
We have subscribed to you because of the way you are, we would like to just see you be you.
Yea, Sydney! great skiing with Dan Gryder. So fun to watch you having water fun.
Seeing that you like 'Outerbanks':
You also might like "Vampire Weekend" (band)
Cheers from Amsterdam!
Dan is real and a great guy. I love his channel and what he stands for. Not everyone can like each other but at least he is honest and you see what you get.
Saw you on Dan's video. You are a beautiful woman and an inspiration to us all! Keep it up! God bless.
You so pretty. Ps. I love your hair. Also thank you for showing us your day in a life as a paraplegic.
Saw you on “Probable Cause”, you are an inspirational and beautiful young lady full of life and courage! Keep it up.
Glad Dan featured you! Great skiing! Best of luck on the test results.
Much love🤙🏻
Hi Sydney! Just came from Dan Gryder's channel and want to say that you are a true inspiration. Keep up the good work and God bless you! ❤

Thanks to Dan for introducing us to this inspiring young woman! God bless you and your future Sydney!
Great skiing with Dan Gryner. Your smile softened his heart and mine, too.
OMG! Only 16?
She is beautiful, and an inspiration fr sure!
👏🏼 ❤👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼

Here from Dan's channel. Inspirational for sure. Thank you for being you and God Bless!
Just watched you skiing with Dan Gryder. You inspire me to do better in life. Never lose your spirit. You are special.
Your attitude is why you deserve the happiness you've created for yourself.
Just saw your video with Dan Gryder! You make all of us Fowler’s so proud, Go Girl!!!
