- I take the most accidentally rude and most criticized logo designs of all time and attempt to redeem them with complimentary animation and motion graphics. I use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects to bring these designs to life and make absolutely no snide comments along the way.

I was thinking, "wow, Ben really managed to hide the rude bit on the second animation", then the final down animation brought it crashing back in lol.
That part had me dying, absolute gold. Caught me so off guard.
It “crashed back in”, all right!
Nothing he did made me un-see it, at some point, you just have to accept that the logo is irredeemable and go with it, I was expecting him to try and argue that he was successful, but instead he leaned in :P

That last logo just has to be remade. Even that pretty animation can't make me unsee what I'm not supposed to see.

The London Olympics one proves that it's not only up to the logo, but the presentation as well. It brought all the British rock-punk music vibes which really resembles British culture. Well Done.

I'm gonna be honest, I think the London 2012 Olympic Games logo is genuinely really good. Poppy colors, sharp edges, the general cartoon vibe of it. Like, idk if I'm just blind or stupid but I like it significantly more than the average logo
His animation made me love it. I now realise they could have gone for some generic royal red and white thing but they didn't.

logos are actually meant to be super simplistic to be easily memorable. for example, the apple and mcdonalds logo. the problem with oversimplifying logos is most take the elements of what made the logo look good.
@@kienserapio I thought they maybe meant generic. The M and the apple logo are very simple, and that’s part of what makes them so iconic, but they also don’t resemble other logos you see much. They stand out despite their simplicity. The logos in the video were also pretty simple, but not generic.

One thing that could make that last logo somewhat decent would be a different roof shape, but it's more memorable this way.

I wasn't a fan of the London 2012 logo at first. But I grew to love it once the Games started. Regardless of the aesthetic merit of its design, it is at least distinctive and is part of some wonderful memories of a great Olympics.
The London 2012 logo and the reveal animation are masterpieces, I loved them since day one.

Your animation on the Olympics logo actually made it make sense and I now love it! (Even though I never really hated it)
The worst part is I think the first logo from the intro would look so cute if it didn't have the circle changing it's meaning lol
Nah, the designer did not have to make that roof curve so THICK.
The unfortunate part about the logo animation with a hard cut to reveal the final logo is that relies heavily on the accompanying audio to make it all work. watching it on mute or behind some other music piece runs the risk of dismantling how cool it all looks by making that hard cut transition just feel awkward and out of place.
I lost everything with that logo reveal! Just brilliant! As a Brazilian, I am proud of the way you emphasize the essence of the logo! 😂

I really enjoyed this video tbh! You broke down the logos, the story behind them, their effect, and how you were going to fix them really well and it was very interesting. Also very British in the best way. Yeah!
I've spent on some pictures and edits so much time and nerves, but still loving it.
Sometimes relying on just doing it with my own hands, because I have no idea how to use some tools.
Editing pixel by pixel, and trying out shades and shapes.
Still I got some cool vibes from being reminded of those moments, and just love the video.
Thats one of the reasons why I tried to get audiovisual education, well I slipped to IT in the end, and they share some elements, but one can focus on other.

I should note as an additional point against the London Olympics logo that it's a roughly square shape composed of four sharply bent arms. Those are just risky in general.
Deep glow and Red Giants Glows are indeed good - however, I find it so odd that Adobe almost never updates or makes new plugins for AE - Not talking about complex things like particular etc but base level things like linear glows, noise types, unmult etc - anyways, great video as always.

I had this weird anxious feeling that kept growing during the video. I couldn't put my finger on it but i knew something wasn't right or something was missing. It kept growing and growing until finally, when the flame of hope was about to go out, less than a minute before the video ended it happened. "We always label our layers". At last, I let out a huge sigh of relief. All was well in the world.

Everybody's so wonderfully creative... On the Olympics logo all I could see was someone wheezing out of breath which is... unfortunate, but neither as bad or specific than Simso Fellatio.
You really have a great knack for this comedy tutorial style. Always just the right amount of extra bits and it feels like you're telling a story rather than showing me how to do something (but also doing that)
