Dustin’s smile is a little wider and he has a twinkle in his eye. Thanks Emmy for the obviously making our man happy. I enjoyed your beautifully edited video today.
I can’t express in words how much I enjoy this channel. I live vicariously through it! I’m ashamed to say that a part of me is afraid to travel because of the state of humanity.
@@thereissomecoolstuff I'm not sure how to respond to this. Obviously you have not watched much of Dustin's adventures, his close work with bears is legendary and gripping video. Me? For 30+ years we have tent camped all over northern Vancouver Island (home), northern BC, Northwest Territories and Yukon and not once had a bad outcome with any bear, despite seeing many. Our record was 11 in one day on the Cassiar Highway, northern BC. You have trouble with bears at places like Yellowstone where folks feed them, leave garbage around, etc. Come up north, real true north and you will find very little bear/human interaction because we tend to respect the bears, the land and our place in it.
I can’t believe I am the first person from Horsefly to comment. Man I miss that place. Spent many many hours on that lake in the summer and in those mountains in the winter. It’s was an awesome evening watch while I sit in the desert at 40C.
Amazing to see a couple doing what my gf and I did in the 90's. People always joked she was a mail order bride. It worked and we have amazing kids now. I guess now it's ooh, you met on the internet :) Love the videos.
I sold my 1940 Ford flathead V8 truck last year; it was right-hand drive (built in Canada) intended for Canadian/English troops to fight General Rommel in North Africa. It looked similar to the Chev pictured here. Those trucks also had very wide tires for flotation on sand. When the Allies started winning against the Germans later on in the war, then we kept back some of those trucks to use for the Canol Pipeline/Road project across Yukon. They did general duty, and pulled grass rollers for the airstrips.
Another Fantastic Adventure Dustin 13:57 I believe that is a 1943 C13 or a C15 CMP Truck (Canadian Military Pattern) built in Oshawa Ontario they were built by both Ford & Chevy, with slight differences between them.
