My dog of 8yrs 6 months and 6 days died this morning Foresty, I never thought that far ahead when I got him. Something made him sick or something and 2 different Vets never actually figured it our, because Anaplasma or hip dysplasia doesn't kill a dog in 15 days. It was awful, he yelped when he got out of bed or fell trying to get up. He wouldn't get up this am, I knew it was bad, I went on our walk path alone halfway, cried at the bench and came home to him rhythmic cry yelping until it was just rhythmic mouth opening and then he was gone, right in my living room on his favorite bed. It's so sad, I'm typing this alone because it's too hard to deal with coming home from work the first night in 8.5yrs and he's not here. I lived for years out east of there, in the middle of the area they think that C-54 went down, way out in the bush. I've hiked, paddled, climbed throughout that country. It's big. You could drop an aircraft carrier into the middle of it and not find it for a hundred years.
@@robgrey6183 And it depends on how the plane hit the ground. The one shown here is very visible, it crashed relatively flat to the ground. If the C-54 came in at a sharp angle and especially into soft ground.. it would be pulverized and mostly be underground... and then possibly overgrown with grass or bushes. Probably never be found..
Please keep your pup's ID on everywhere. We lost our little one in a bizarre circumstance we never expected. His collar with our number were all that could have brought him back to us. Good video, thanks.

What a great adventure! And congrats on 400K subscribers 🙂
I can't believe you were in bear country without any weapon😮😮😮!
First time viewer. You rock! Truly appreciate your indomitable spirit and physicality. I even like your little dog too! Looking forward to vicariously joining you on future adventures.
Stoked you found the mountain bike nearly maxed itself out before switching to foot, the versatility of it combined with your extra battery plan's clutch!
Very cool to see, that wreck was incredibly well preserved.
Foresty! Probably my favorite video from you in 2024. Great job!
Thanks for taking me along on your adventure. I think your puppy enjoyed the exploration as much as you did. Advice from an 85 year old: live life to the fullest while you are physically able. Money cannot buy the experiences you do. Stay sake! Bob in NC
Weird to see a plane in this peaceful environment and great footage with the drone (as usual). congrats on 400K subscribers !
I haven’t visited your channel for sometime. Your adventures are always good for my soul. My time in BC back in 68’ and 70’ was perfect. Now you take me back to that peace. Thanks
That was an extra special adventure, thanks for taking us along.
Thank you very much for a beautiful video. You have become so pro with your making of them. This was such a relaxing trip. I love those types of mountains. They remind me about where my mom was born, Dovre in Norway. I really miss that nature. But it is so much bigger where you are. Just getting away from it all, such a luxury. Thank you again for sharing.
One of the best videos I’ve ever seen on RUclips! Had a perfect mix of everything.
Wow, thank you!
Thanks for the context on that C54!
Here I was thinking you & Rocko chartered a plane & someone let Rocko take the wheel.
(haha)
No politics, just great content. Nostalic, superb cinemtatography, short & sweet. Thoroughly entertaining, Jen & I greatly enjoyed it.
Keep ‘em coming buddy!
Thank you Rob 😊
For some reason I was sure this was a Mark Felton video when I clicked it. When you started talking I was really confused. Great video, my friend.
I lived in Alberta most of my life, but I moved away.
I have heard about all the cool stories of the cool places you can visit and hike up in the mountains but I have never had the courage to make it up there.
I am glad I found your channel way back when you were building your original van so I can see all the cool places you visit, though only through a screen, but better than never seeing it.
3:36 Rocko looks very strong
3:58 Rocko looks back to check out the camera. I found those two instances interesting and just wanted to stamp it. Great video Forest! 🤙🏽
Yeah Rocko is ripped
I loved it when she glanced back at the camera with that sort of worried look ~ "um, dad, don't let that gopher steal our camera!" 🐕☺️
Rocko reminds me so much of my JR Henry who lived for 18 years.
Such a loyal companion 😊.
Just subscribed 👍
Awesome Video. You have the best life style. No one does it better than you.
13:02 Rocco is having too much fun 😂😂
Always look forward to your content, it brings a smile. Rocco brings a laugh. Awesome!
I really enjoyed your adventure here. Seeing how you played it and used your resources was cool, and the plane was real interesting too. Glad to see no graffiti all over it. Love your happy companion too- cheers, and thanks for sharing a cool trip.
Rocko is adorable .You two make a great team .
dude you are pro level, thanks for sharing these places and for being the good steward you are, it shows an excellent example to the rest of us
Next mission for Rocko and Foresty.....find the Skymaster C-54.
I lived for years out east of there, in the middle of the area they think that C-54 went down, way out in the bush.
I've hiked, paddled, climbed throughout that country. It's big.
You could drop an aircraft carrier into the middle of it and not find it for a hundred years.
@@robgrey6183 Yeah, its amazing---been missing almost 75 years now.

And it depends on how the plane hit the ground. The one shown here is very visible, it crashed relatively flat to the ground.
If the C-54 came in at a sharp angle and especially into soft ground.. it would be pulverized and mostly be underground... and then possibly overgrown with grass or bushes. Probably never be found..
@@robgrey6183 would scanning google maps not work you think?
Please keep your pup's ID on everywhere. We lost our little one in a bizarre circumstance we never expected. His collar with our number were all that could have brought him back to us. Good video, thanks.
I sure love little Rocko with her big personality!
Excellent video, thanks for sharing this adventure with us. Yukon is so beautiful. I drove up there during the 70's with my dad on endless gravel roads and will never forget that experience.
Everything Rocko does is with strong enthusiasm! 😊
Great adventure thanks for putting in the effort to take us along..
Hey Foresty forest another great climb that was so cool to see that old plane and to know that everyone survived that’s amazing. Thanks for sharing you and Rocco you guys always make my day. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️🫶🙏👍😎🐾🚐🏔️🇨🇦
To me it's crazy that after 70 years in a mounty weather the plane is still shining and looks like it felt there just a week ago.
Always love your videos, keep up the good work!
I stumbled on your videos a week ago, now my 5 year old son and I can’t stop watching. He loves watching you and Rocko. I love that you share your nervousness and concerns. When did you get into this? Is RUclips your only income? Where did you learn to cook? Your food looks amazing! Thanks for the cool videos. Best of luck. We look forward to more of your adventures.
Thank you! Yep I've been a full-time youtube creator since 2019.

Your confidence in your videos is epic, never doubt yourself. We love you foresty ❤️🐶
Stumbled on your video, and so glad I did. Thats countryside we hardly get in England. Thank you. Subscribed.👍
I can’t believe how well preserved that aircraft is! Exposed to the elements for 74 years, and I couldn’t see any corrosion!
Beautiful video!
I was watching the original upload and it disappeared at about 8 minutes in. Glad its back.
I don't know how I found this video but I was mesmerized. Absolutely fascinating content, so well done, I feel like I'm exploring from my desk in my North Carolina office before work. Thank you for sharing.
This was a rad one, I really enjoyed that crash site. Remarkable condition.
Hey yeah, pretty incredible site! You would enjoy this place for sure.
Foresty you amaze me as always with your talents and tenacity! Your ability to find new content is what keeps your channel fresh. I’m sure that’s not easy!
