@@FirstL00k did you have the peg under the laptop when you did the gaming tests and said it was expelling heat well? Also, does the Thunderbolt port not charge the laptop? Is it only the USB c that does? Thanks for a great review. Looked long & hard to find it

@@BluuSkyz Yeah, I found that to be the case too, it does run really hot. When I use an external monitor, I keep the lid open and stand it up like a tent for max airflow. Not a lot of options otherwise.

Ohh my bad. I'm not confident closing the laptop screen when I'm using an external monitor, given that gaming laptops are extremely hot when in use compared to office laptops. If I were you, I'd go to the support section on asus.com and do a search of that model number. There's probably a document among the results with blow out pictures and specs for upgrades. For an 11th gen cpu though, I highly doubt there's space for a 2.5" drive - most likely m.2 ssds.
So how are the setting on this? As far as heat and loud fans? Or should I just get a Steam Deck and not worry about it. Hi there, Great review! In-depth. Picked mine up on Black Friday with the TUF monitor. But I found the thunderbolt 4 (labelled) port doesn’t recognise Gsync OR display settings when trying to configure the display in the nvidia control panel or windows settings. Only the USB C 3.2 gen2 supports display settings, with displayport and 165hz (my monitor) refresh rate. And noticed by the nvidia control panel.
Thanks man, I really appreciate it! A cable directly connected from laptop to USB-C or HDMI should work without issue. Are you using a docking station by any chance? This laptop is the worse laptop i have ever owned, same goes to the 2021 version which i also owned. My specs: 165hz 1440p, rx 3050, i7 650. Why couldnt have they gave me a i7 12700? also why a 1440p display on a 3050, 3050 doesnt even have enough vram for it. I have the ddr5 version and some of my games use shared vram as vram because it runs out of vram. no rgb too. I will be buying another laptop when i get enough money since when i bought this, i couldbnt return it.
I upgraded from tuf 15 21 with rtx 3050 to this laptop. The performance improvement is very high. 3050 really suck as the vram limits the performance of a powerful cpu. This on the other hand with 8gb vram can run most games on high and above for atleast two to three more years.
@@S-K-S- I’m guessing you have a 1440p display, it can’t run at high settings. I sold the laptop for a desktop which I built, it has a 3070 ti 8gb, and I have a 1440p display, it’s similar to yours in vram except for performance. For 1440p 8gb vram is the limit on high / extreme textures, my rtx 3070 ti is hitting the limit and I don’t think it will last a few years with this much vram. I think it’s nvidia that sucks, low vram, there is no game that takes up more than 12gb on 4k ultra settings and that is the limit of the rtx 4070 ti, so it’s still a bad deal unless you play in lower textures for years. And the asus tuf dash rtx 3070s are literally trash (not to offend you) they are low wattage gpus, I think 85w. Your getting extremely limited in performance with that low watts for a 3070, a 3050 is higher watts than that it can go up to 95w. I bet your laptop is also hot af, if my 65w 3050 used to get hot, I don’t know how hot your 85w one will the stickers literally mention the cooling being good but that’s cap. Now getting off of performance, the laptop is overall bad quality. So weak bro, feel like it would break any second. Trackpad literally clicks on it own when getting bent little bit
@@S-K-S- I realized I didn’t write anything about the quality lol, the temps are so high, trash plastic, the laptop has no Rgb whyy, the laptops trackpad had no palm rejection and I bet you notice it really annoying since it’s big and close to the edge.
@@S-K-S- ok I retrieved some of my other comments about that laptop: it only had 2 usb ports, no cool keyboard function keys like camera switch, fan max boost, a crosshair in the middle of the screen to cheat in games. (I have owned many other laptops like the legion 5 pro, msi ge76 raider which I got for around the same price 1000-1300 dollars with the dash f15) they all had useful features like that. Now I found out the laptop is made like this for battery life, the battery life is trash bro. It lasts like a movie or almost 2 movies. If they were trying to make a laptop with good battery life, they should have went with amd stuff, amd CPUs are much more power efficient than intel mobile CPUs and same with their gpus. I don’t know why they are so dumb

@@FirstL00k thank you!
Does it have ms office preinstalled ?
Nowadays, pretty much all new windows laptops have office preinstalled.
Are these temperatures normal in the processor?
They're normal for me for that game I played. I don't have anything else to compare it to otherwise.
Is it comes with Microsoft office
All Windows laptops come with a limited version of office (I think you can use it for a month? Then have to pay monthly subscription or something.) There are several excellent free office softwares you can download - search Google for "free Microsoft office alternative".
@@FirstL00k thanku ❤️
Which game is that you playing?
The game is called BPM (Bullets Per Minute). You have to time your shots to the music, so if you want to work on your rhythm, it's a fun game.
wait a second under 1000 ? i bought it for 1600. Did i buy better version ? Or iam just dumb
At one point it was that price on sale (in the US) around last Christmas. Prices have fluctuated a lot since then though.
@@FirstL00k and im not sure if there are different versions by mine comes with rtx 3070 8gb i7 12650h
@@yar0607 Oh good, you got the one with the better graphics card.
@@FirstL00k as for you, was it worth it ?
@@yar0607 I like the hardware a lot; as long as your unit isn't defective in manufacturing, it's a great machine. I've had an audio stuttering issue after updating Windows 11 to version 22h2, but that's Microsoft mucking things up again. I advise sticking with 22h1.
What ssd do you recommend?
Gen 4
buddy this in not that much cheep
Correct. It was the cheapest when the video came out over a year ago.
Price is 1,115USD. Bye.
Under 1000$?
Bruh in my country it cost 1500$
Yeesh, that's 50% more!
@@S-K-S- dude the cpu ain’t powerful, it’s only 10k-12k in cinebench, the 12700h on the other hand is muchhhhh faster with 18k cinebench score
Under $1000? LOL
ma nigga YUNG JON!
Great review. Thanks!
