- It's finally time to show you guys the complete mobile home renovation project! It was a blast picking out all the interior design details and see this home renovation come together! I hope you enjoy seeing the before and after farmhouse home tour!
I never would have believed this is a mobile home if I hadn't read it in the title. You did an amazing job.
Wow! I just ran across this video 2 yrs. later..lol. We're starting a whole house remodel on our little country house and I was looking for inspiration when I found your video. What a beautiful transformation and I LOVE you giving glory to our God for His provisions!
This doesn't look anything like a mobile home!! You did an amazing job. And yes girl I agree that when we take a step back and let our husbands do what they love the Lord really does bless us. For so many years early in my marriage, I didn't let my husband take the lead but I've learned God's order and our lives are so much more peaceful. So happy I stumbled on your channel!! This remodel was beautiful! I’m a real estate agent, one piece of advice, don’t remove storage. Manufactured homes offer very little. Even if it’s more aesthetically pleasing. Trust me, buyers want storage.
You did a wonderful job on adding that 3rd bedroom, saving the $$ and going with laminate countertops. Smart.

Well done.... WELL DONE! I am 62 years old and my husband and I raised our 2 daughters in a 12x60 ft Mobile Home. I love decorating and with a creative mind, good taste and hard work you can transform “ugly” into a “HOME” ... Again, well done, it’s beautiful.
After our last daughter graduated from High School, my father passed away with Cancer. My Mother was also dying with Cancer, so I moved back home to care for her. Then my husband and I packed up our almost 30 years of marriage from the “tiny” Mobile Home and moved into my BIG family home. My husband and I can lose each other in it! LOL!!! My Mother passed 11 months later.
I have slowing been transforming this home to my style. It’s a lot of work... but a home isn’t a home without elbow grease and great, creative minds . God bless and many wonderful happy years in your home with your daughters!

What was your budget? In a few weeks I will be on my own 3 acres with a double wide to redo. It doesnt appear as yet to be major structural damage, but tons of updating and replacing of fixtures, appliances and adding a laundry area. My budget is 25k It sounds like a lot to me but I'm thinking it gets eaten up pretty fast. I won't be selling this, it's going to be my retirement home.

Then go buy a modular home if you buy a mobile home you will be disappointed this isn't a mobile it is a modular huge difference

Did you have to reinforce the floor to hold the weight of the tub? I live in a Double wide and have the garden tub,but want an antique claw foot tub. I was told that in order to do that the floor has to be reinforced to hold the weight of it full of water. Is this true? I love the finished product! It is gorgeous! My mouth hit the floor when you showed the master bath! I fell head over heels in love with it! You guys did an amazing job! The Lord has definitely blessed you all with talent and love! Such blessings you are!

Thank so much for the kind review! We loved the way that claw foot turned out. It's true you do need to reinforce the floor beneath a tub of this style. We had water damaged subfloor in that bathroom when we purchased the home, so when the subfloor was replaced, the joists were exposed and we were able to add in reinforcements to allow for the tub.
In mobile homes, often the subfloor is made out of cheaper material as well, so if you do reinforce the floor, you might consider a more solid plywood as additional support. Subfloor is a pretty simple, but should probably be done by a professional to assure the tub is on solid ground before putting dozens of gallons of water in there.

Loved the doublewide! Once thought about living in a mobile home. The brushed nickel touches really add a unique flavor, that gorgeous lighting, and the claw tub, are All awesome! And I love granite too, but what you did, how you decorated and with your flooring choices, really created something special! (Very spacious too.) EXCELLENT JOB!

I needed to hear the statement you said about letting go an allowing my husband to take control of some things.
He got and offer in Arkansas to buy for 40 thousand land with over 7 acres with 2 mobile homes on it that are livable, but as we live in Tennessee, it scares me.
If we sale our house we can buy it straight out and have a lot of extra money for makeovers.
I am just nervous, but I know in the long run it would be a great home on some property.
Not only before and after but renovation tips and ideas during construction are always helpful. Nice job!

LEORofYAHWEH she answered it a few different times; they spent about 60k on renovations.
Ive remodeled moabile homes just like this before and it cost between 10k-25k depending what you do

my new pet peeve word in design..."pops"...and the new style...white, white, white and hey let's paint that room white!
I use that word a lot, it describes what I want to say, so maybe don’t watch anymore videos? As far as white goes, it’s the most cost effective because it’s all one color. Sells faster cuz it appeals to everyone, and provides a blank canvas for the new owner.

Nice job. I really like the bronze hardware, BUT... it makes the bright brass doorknobs stick out like a sore thumb. If you were keeping it, I would urge you to change those out, as well.

I think I put it in a separate comment. we got it for 30k i think? and put 60k in and sold it for 120k (it has been so long that I can't remember for sure!) Mobile Homes in portland sell really high.

Loved the remodel. Are walls easier to remove in mobile homes than in regular sticks and bricks homes. Is load bearing walls still an issue that you must contend with. If so, how do you figure out if a wall is load bearing or not?
Load bearing walls are still and issue, the roof is still the same weight as a regular home, I think they maybe a little easier, because everything is a little more cheaply done when they are built! I am not sure how to tell if a wall is load bearing or not, that would be a question for my husband, do you have instagram? you can chat with him on @living_hope_properties

@Justine Marie Nice try! Modular buildings and modular homes are prefabricated buildings or houses that consist of repeated sections called modules. "Modular" is a construction method that involves constructing sections away from the building site, then delivering them to the intended site. When a mobile def is different. A mobile home is a prefabricated structure, built in a factory on a permanently attached chassis before being transported to site. FYI
I can’t tell if you are trying to be rude or sarcastic by typing so I will just assume the best. Our state calls these mobile homes. This home is in a mobile home park and all the homes are double wide mobile homes just like this one. People working for the state have told us that yes these are also considered mobile homes. Perhaps it is different where you live.
@@GraceForTheDay No I'm not trying to be sarcastic I like your channel I watch it often. What state are you in? I'm in South Carolina currently. Double-wide mobile home measurements common widths are 20, 24, 28 and 32 feet. Length measurements generally fall in the range of 42 to 60 feet.With 7 ft ceiling. When modular homes are much different. Modular home ceilings are 8 feet and 9 feet tall. They are much larger too at 30-foot by 40-foot modules for transport and can be added together to make it larger in the end. Modulars look more like stick built houses than a mobile home, you can actually mistake a modular home easily for being a stick built home. I just want you to know the difference. Just to add. Most modular manufacturers build modular sizes in at least three widths, typically 12 feet, 13 feet, and 13 feet 9 inches. Some companies also build widths of 14 feet 9 inches and 15 feet 9 inches. The widths can vary by a couple of inches between companies, depending on the size of a manufacturer’s production jigs, they will build modular sizes up to 60-feet long. Some companies will build up to 72-foot-long modules As you can see that is much different than a mobile home.

My question is about the plumbing hardware. Why did you not use the same bronze throughout? The faucets in the master look super cheap. Great otherwise.
Hey Billie! They are the original hardware. We do these renovations on a budget and can't over rehab or it won't make a profit:) From a design standpoint yes, I would have changed the countertops and hardware in the bathrooms as well!
