I saw a sweet little boy peeking around the corner.💙 Priceless!❤
Yes he's so adorable and cute
I had forgotten how bad the old kitchen was . But putting it all together from beginning to end wow what a difference it's made. Fantastic bright and beautiful 🤩
I'm pretty sure I've been here since the beginning of this home renovation, it's just surreal how much you guys have done
The house is almost done
You guys have done such a good job ❤
Don't worry about the 53 dislikes they are just jealous. Your fans truly know it's amazing. You both did a great job to make a house a home.
I have said it before!!!! The kitchen looks like it should be published in a magazine. I love it and the little guy creeping in on ya
Thanks :)
I love that the oven is separate and a good distance from the rest of the kitchen, I hate having to work in front of an oven. Good thinking!
The amount of work, repair and attention to detail here is so great. No one could have done a nicer job. That house was lucky to have you find it.
Absolutely beautiful!!! I've seen professionals who can't hold a candle to your workmanship. You two just amaze me all the time with the quality of your work. Looking forward to seeing your livingroom.
Thanks!
Yes, this is a reminder of where you started, it is a totally Diyfferent home now. 🥰
It has been a privilege to watch this transformation! What a beautiful kitchen. The 15 minutes as a recap is almost shocking, especially knowing the trials and tribulations with the cabinets etc.
You can enjoy the simple beauty of this room with pride!
Brilliant! It's so open and fresh and bright. This was a tear jerker for me. I'm so happy for you! We too built an eat in country kitchen, we just never used the dining rooms in past builds. I also love the cozy atmosphere of eating in the kitchen, with family around the table talking all at once while I cook and keep the coffee brewing. Everything from the design to the cool light, the beautiful cabinets and countertop, the table and chairs, just perfect, and so you! ♡ Nurse Carolyn
Doug and Ashley, this room has a brilliant design and is beautiful.
I think putting the faucet in the wall was a brilliant idea.
I agree! Not worry what others think. It more convenient.
Yes and the wall oven on other side - the cook top ...I don’t like crumbs every place either
Loved the peekaboo towards the end! So cute.
For two young DIY's you have done a fantastic job of remodeling your home. Live well, live proudly, and enjoy what you have accomplished!
Two words , , amazing excellent . . 👍 👍 👍 👌. .
I've been watching you guys since the vintage trailer renovation and have enjoyed the continuous progress you all have made in lives journey. Best wishes and years of happiness in your newly renovated home! Hope you will continue with the content...would be interesting to see you guys do some more segments on farming/growing produce and preserving of your crops via canning, pickling, ect. Keep up the good work!
It has been so fun going on your amazing renovation journey with you. Thank you not only for sharing your life with us while doing hard work, but for all of the extra time you put in to filming and editing everything. 🥰🥰 peek-A-BOO Mav❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Absolutely!
I had forgotten how cramped that U shaped kitchen made things, not to mention how much lighter the whole space is now. A truly amazing transformation.
I love the butcher block counter and table, and I'm in total agreement with you over putting a faucet in for the water filter. You're right, if it makes your life easier, and you can do it, then making it happen can only be a good thing.
I can see why you would do the door and entryway slightly differently, but if you're not getting that noise and heat directly into the kitchen, then there's an unexpected silver lining.
I hadn't noticed the handles on the cabinets, those blend in really well. I'm pleased you like them so much.
Thanks for reminding us of how far you took the kitchen transformation.
Stay safe, everyone.
I had forgotten how in-depth this renovation was...beautiful kitchen! God bless y’all and stay safe and healthy!
So many people think ill of trailers and the people who live in them ... poverty stereotypes. I wonder if that's why you get so many comments about how you are going things wrong. I love your vision, knowledge, design sense, and process. And it's just the 2 of you. You're showing how vision and determination can result in beautiful outcomes! Thank you for sharing!
I also live in a manufactured home, in Arizona. I splurged in 1993 and ordered it with a 2×6 exterior construction, upgraded insulation. The rest was all done little at a time. My father was a cabinet maker, so this lucky gal has a beautiful raised square solid panel maple 🍁 doors and drawers with built in pantry doors to match. Flash forward 25 years and My Dad has been here at my home for 2 weeks helping/teaching me how to make all the repairs and maintenance....we found termites, which led to this massive home over haul. Im so glad i have these memories with my father!
You guys have really worked hard your home is really beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Looks so good. I hope you enjoy it for many years to come. It was great to see the reprisal of all the work.
Oh My I forgot what it looked like. You should be very proud of yourselves, you have put in a lot of hard work to create a beautiful, warm, loving home for your family. 👍🏻❤️🇨🇦
Great job you will make many lovely family memories round that table, take some time out and have fun with the kids they grow up so quickly blessings nana Marie from australia
I love the pot filler. That’s one of my favorites. Wish I had one.
Wow! some people on here are really rude... As a young couple you have a great vision and talent to create the perfect home for you and family... Luv the work your doing.
Thank you :)
You two have made a beautiful house and home for your family .Ive really enjoyed watching your progress .
I loved the finished product. You both can make a living with your talent. You both are amazing.
Call me crazy but I love the old vintage wallpaper behind the cabinets..happy you gave it an honorary spot on the wall as Art! ...you do amazing work...good job y’all! Blessings
Idk how I came across your channel but I love seeing this. You really took pride in redoing your home. Bless the both of you.💖
I have to add this extra comment. My motto is "action speaks louder than words", your diy and your gift, shows us the public and your family, how much they mean to you. Even your children demonstrate to us, how much they appreciate and love you both. Blessings.
Folks, I've watched every video along the way. I always enjoyed all your videos mainly because of the way Doug explains everything! Your kitchen project is amazing. it just goes to show what you can achieve with hard work & know how. Keep up the good work!
Thanks a bunch :)
You got an adorable peek-a-boo at 14:36. Love your kitchen !
You guys did a great job! Your kitchen looks fantastic. I’m all about functionality and convenience. When the pro’s outweigh the cons then you’ve made the best choice.
I didn’t realize how long i’ve been watching you guys until i saw ‘January 2019’. I also completely forgot what the before looked like. Such a great job!

You chose so many nice details, all the white makes the beautiful counter really pop. I'm happy for you to have this most useful and important room done. I hope you'll be able to be outside and enjoy the summer to the max.
I never saw the original kitchen for some odd reason. What an amazing and gorgeous transformation!! You should be so proud of yourselves!❤️❤️❤️❤️
in beginning. Yellow cabinets.
I love it, I love it, I love it and then to top it off: an adorable lil' guy peeks out at the 14:36 mark ! God bless you guys !
Love that y'all used the original paneling as art!!
Fresh, clean and uncluttered....what a huge difference! The pot filler tap makes perfect sense. Thank you for a fun video and for sharing ❤❤❤❤
Oh my gosh I just watched this. I seen it 3 years ago but seeing baby Maverick so sweet. Seeing the transition from the beginning to end in one video was so aesthetically pleasing. I loved everything about this. The layout etc etc. This is why I've been following you since the very beginning and I love everything you do. You work seamlessly together, the entire family. Love love love!❤
I'm SO VERY PROUD of the 4 of you. Congratulations on all you've done.
I don’t know if it was intentional, but I think the yellow chairs were a nice homage to the old kitchen..great job transforming the room to an open, clean and functional space!
Omg I forgot what the kitchen originally looked like, you two continue to impress me with every video!
I remember being worried about you guys being cold. So glad it's finished! You guys did a wonderful job, the kitchen is beautiful. 😊
You guys are just beasts.....both of you! Look at what you have done with the property and that trailer that is every bit a legitimate home....no wheels. The building and design you do are genius. Now I'm tired...lol. congratulations. A job so beautifully done!!!!! Love you guys!

Wow! A lot of work and thought went into this rebuild .... Love that the oven is out of the way , It makes sense being there . Lots of ventilation and air at the back door . Not so much roasting oven smells in the kitchen . Great post guys . Loving your work . ✌

Having the oven off to the side is a great idea! I have seen that in several homes before.

Ditto. It's amazing!
Amazing! Showroom look, your showroom! "Keep on going, Cheers from Nova Scotia, Canada eh ! "
It looks beautiful. You did a great job Doug and Ashley !
Ashley, Doug the kitchen is beautiful!! You guys did an excellent job with the design.
The original kitchen looked small. Doug and Ashley stood side-by-side in it and there was no room left to move. By getting rid of the U-shaped kitchen you gained nearly 3 ft on the long wall and 3 ft on the far wall. By Not having a dishwasher and free-standing range, you gained two sets of drawers/lower cabinets for storage and in a small house that's huge. By using a wall cabinet for your oven you gained more storage as it has 4 drawers and an overhead cabinet in the unit. By going with a shorter refrigerator you gain the use of the top of the fridge to place items going into or out of the oven, which provides ease-of-use. By going with much bigger windows and white floor and cabinets (white and bright is the Scandinavian look) the kitchen looks a lot bigger than it originally did. Plus you actually did gain a lot of extra floor space. I like the pendant and the original wall panel artwork. Tom the palm does get moved around a lot and he does look good wherever he goes. A simple white vase with a narrow neck and a small branch of greenery or flower(s) snipped from outside will provide a simple, free pop of color and variety week after week. I get what you mean about the 6-inch movement of the back door, however, I think what you've got is superior to that idea as you don't have to walk around a wall to get to the pantry. Well done.
Love this comment and I think the design ended up by not moving the back door with a unique space as you come into the back door. Especially the weather will not whip through the whol house. Although you may put on an added back room/patio space?? 😃👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼well done👏🏼👏🏼
Great job!
When the whole house is done, edit a video that transforms the house from being complete all the way back to when you bought it :)
Holy, that looks amazing!!! Great job and so pretty and functional!!
Simply beautiful and fuctional!!! So happy for your family!
The oven being by itself was a grand idea. You don’t use your oven as often as a stove. 👍🥰
I don't think I'd mind the stove there because I hate it when the kitchen gets so hot during cooking/baking, I like the idea of opening the door to let out the heat from the oven. All you have to do is turn around and walk a couple steps to lay your stuff on the counter top. Or maybe I'd turn the coat hook area into a small countertop area to lay down the pans before turning around to close the oven door.
You did a really great job with your kitchen! I love everything! It looks so much bigger and I love the big window! Thumbs up!!
Your channel was the first I clicked on to get caught up after 12+ days of disrupted internet service! Yup, you are special and I really enjoyed the recap of the kitchen ... it's so you!
That's so awesome! Welcome back to the internet and our channel :D
I like it!!!! 5 years ago we renovated our 1964 house and I changed the wrap-around kitchen to a galley. We knocked out a wall and installed a great island, but left a large space between it and the the counter tops/sink. I love it. Before, the kitchen would get so hot when you used the oven; the heat would get blocked in the wrap-around area.
Whole kitchen is beautiful and functional keep inspiring us and thanks for sharing
love that kitchen!
Thanks!
I love the retro art piece 😊
I’ve been watching and rewatching your videos and your place turned out so nice, I really like your taste.
I had forgotten what your kitchen originally looked like until this video. The way you designed the kitchen makes it look so much bigger. I like it a lot. I loved when Maverick peeked around the corner towards the end lol. He is so cute.
So happy for you guys. This is quite the accomplishment. You hard work paid off and it really looks fabulous. I enjoyed every video and look forward to the rest
