- Today we are using eibach lowering sportline springs in my 1992 Camaro RS. I didn't replace any other suspension part besides the springs so that you could get a look at the drop amount I got. At some point in the future I will do a video with the new shocks installed and give you guys a review of how it rides.
This is the 3rd gen guy video about how to remove your front springs: • 1982-1992 Camaro/Fireb...

I couldn't believe the height difference in the front springs. It looks great, and I'm always glad to see another f-body video.
I love your 3rd gen videos man. I have a 1985 IROC-Z and fixing all the little things is a lot easier with informative videos like this. Keep up the good work!
Glad I can help!
definitely makes the stance of the car look way better. I did this to my 72 Chevelle, and was really impressed. great video!
Thanks man! Yea improved the stance quite a bit
I did the same to my '86 Sport Coupe . I couldn't believe the difference a couple of inches makes in the way the car looks. One thing though, the stock track bar will push you differential 1" over to the drivers side. you'll need an adjustable track bar to fix that, if it bothers you as much as it did me. Keep up the good work !
finally some content on the camaro 🤘🏻
lol finally
Saw the third gen instantly subbed 🤘🏼 third gen life!
"McBay Performance" makes nice billet spacers just for this sort of thing. You actually get exactly 1/2 a inch of rise in the rear with them. Im using them on my 4th gen. Now has perfect stance and no bottoming for grinding.
Definitely always film all of it. Not just a review
Great video, thanks for your sharing!
Definitely looks better lowered ! Those are cool springs though, not coilovers🤙🏼
Yea I didn't want to go the coilover route. Springs were better for my application
Thank you my friend asome video 😊
Thank you too
Nice!
Your car looks good
Thanks man!
Damn your camaro is beautiful way better then mine
hey, mine started off rough too!!
Nice,so how is the ride quality vs the stock ? Have you driven over rough roads ?
If you want to drop it another half inch you can remove that rubber grommet looking thing on the top of the springs and slide some like 5/8 heater hose on the top of the spring. Hope you see this cheers bub.
Yea I remember learning about the heater hos hack a while back. I thought about doing it but I don't want to make the back even more lower than the front. Once the shocks are on, I will see what the stance is like
If you had undone the shocks at the top, the springs would have almost fallen out when you lowered the rear. Takes 5 more minutes, most of which is pulling the carpet away to get access.
Hey buddy i had a ? Will a +0mm offset on some 18x8 stick out alot.
I binge watched this whole series. I’m about to start restoring my ‘92 RS that my grandpa bought new and gave to me 20 years ago!
Did you ever get your high beams fixed? If so, how difficult was it?
I haven't yet, but I just watched a video by a guy. His channel name is Camaro Mac. His video on fixing the high beams made it seem much easier. I'm going to attempt it soon because of his video. So glad you found the series!! More videos will be coming soon
@@beardedreviews thanks for the reply man! It’s definitely on the list of things to tackle.
@@blue09jk I almost never drive mine at night, so I haven't been too concerned with it. But I think it's just two 8mm bolts to loosen to get it back in place. Might as well fix it
I have a 91 firebird which has a bent wristpin on stock engine, was hoping it was a bad lifter. Sitting in the shop now and was all ready to put it away for winter.
Getting harder to not listen to the whispers telling me to get rid of the thing. May let it sit over winter and drop in a crate, may end up selling.
Wish I had the best answer 😒
You are running 245/40R18 tires right? Have you driven with the lowering springs and experienced any rubbing of the tires? I am looking at getting those wheels you have in chrome.
Im looking to do the same how does it handle? Do the new springs feel smooth over bumps and cornering or is it really stiff?
I'm not really good at discerning the differences in suspension other than like harsh ride. I just cruise it around and don't do much spirited driving. It's definitely rougher. Feels a small amount tighter when turning, like less body roll maybe? I just feel a little more planted in it I guess would be the word to describe it
You need to put extended brackets for the rear shocks to work properly
You mean LCA relocation brackets?
Trust me when you add nice koni shocks it’s going to raise the rear end up Like an inch so you’re gonna have to cut some coil off to keep it level I just had to do this
any more third gen videos coming?
To low in the rear. Will bottom all over the place. Need to raise it up at least one inch. And if you look, the rocker panel molding is lower to the ground at the rear than the front when you look at the car from the side. Looks funny.
Please please please do the best Holley sniper video on RUclips
Can anyone explain why you don’t need a lower control arm relocation bracket for the front? I lowered my car with the same springs and the front tires slant in now.
The strut mounts on top are adjustable .
Is that 2"?
I have 1989 Camaro rs with a v8 engine is it anyway to save on gas with these things
Mine scrapes at stock ride height on turns as it is lol
Is it the old springs and stuff from the 90s?
Iroc repros? What size and what size tires?
They are 18". I made a whole video about them if you click on my playlists for the third gen camaro
@@beardedreviews awesome thanks
Does that year RS come with the 200r4 transmission?
It's a 305 TBI with a 700R4 Transmission
@@beardedreviews oh wow thanks. I didn't know they came stock like that. I'm still learning. I appreciate it
@@elvisfreshly5571 If you go to look at one, you can tell the 700R4 from the shape of the pan underneath. You can look up a diagram of the different pan sizes and shapes so yo can identify them
@@beardedreviews man you're the best. Right on
Did you get rid of the bobber?
Yea I sold it :(
Did something break or did you just get bored of it.
@@stogie0608 Just started to feel unsafe on it.
@@beardedreviews I get it man, its a very dangerous hobby. Thanks for the responses. ✌🏽. I subbed.
@@stogie0608 Of course man!! hopefully you find some of the other videos entertaining since I don't do the indian scout videos on the channel anymore
I lowered my Roc too much. Now cant do most driveways or sppedbumps. Beware.
yea I don't want to go too low with it. Just an inch or two lower
😮Still not low enough
You sponsored by adidas?
haha I wish. Just love the brand
