A French “AIRE” style Campsite , Norfolk Coast ? .. Close to beach!

- A "French Aire like site" in North Norfolk! , at least thats what a few of the punters there who travel to europe a lot were saying , We returned to NELSONS PATCH in Walcott , right next door to a big pub with garden and conveniently barely a mile to the seafront (20 Minute , Mowed grass walk along the main road) or a slightly longer walk via the field behind site , We paid £26 For the night in early september , TV & Phone Signals were perfect , as was the fish n chips!

At least you can pronounce the village names! too many people call it "Happy's burg"! Not the best F & C's in the area but the closest to that site. Good that you're telling people to visit the local shops and so the cash goes into local pockets and not into massive companies. 😀
we always try to support the locals , the fish n chips actually weren’t that bad ( but had better ) 😂👍 , i saw a reporting a few weeks back on happisburgh and the actual journalist spelt it haizborough ! beggars belief!

Great camera shots and time lapse at the beginning, that type of site looks a good idea ,you are left to your own devices and no interference from anyone. Plenty of walking and fish and chips what more could you want , blimey Mike ! when Kirsty tells you to hurry and pedal faster you certainly do as you’re told hahaha ( certainly see who’s boss) . Typical man ,always has the last word - - YES DEAR 😂😂Take care 👍🚐
hi eric , yes it’s nice to be left alone on a site like that with nobody walking around checking up on things etc , haha yeah the orders came through directly from kirsty saying hurry up , there’s no arguing there so had to get my foot down and get back fast 😂😂 , have to obey otherwise it’s consequences 😂😂👍

hi Pete & Su those fish n chips were huge but i ate the lot whereas kirsty couldn’t manage it all , We also like a serviced pitch , rarely available or at a premium they are so much easier and less hassle especially for us as we are only anywhere for 1 night or 2 nights when we have lighter nights , sorry we make you hungry 😂

Nice beaches we stayed at poachers pocket pub in the car park on the beach front and had a big storm all night!😂
i saw all the vans in that poachers pocket car park i assume they allow it and you just pay inside ? was very busy full with vans

Ha ha our first ever camping trip was to Nelson’s Patch the day it opened in July 2021.They didn’t have electric hook up ready then though. Might revisit next year. Brilliant photography/videography.ATB Ruth

Hi guys just. Wondering how you get on with the dogs and bikes. Do one of you cycle while other half mind the dogs?
Hi yes that’s exactly what we do , we only have the one bike , or take one bike , kirsty stays in the van minding the dogs while i’ll go and get the fish n chips or go to the shop
It’s hard going making an interesting vlog when you’re returning to a site but you did well, that site is ideal in one way but no toilet and shower, the pub next door does at least have that for the same money, £25 for two fish and chips is mental, remember when that was a cheap treat…. It’s getting expensive to go away these days isn’t it? You’re talking £100 a weekend with fees, food and fuel plus a few snacks.
yeah what we pay now for a what used to be a cheap fri night treat is ridiculous , prices in general are mental , agreed £100 for a weekend , diesel , site fee , bit of grub , £100 easily gone but yeah a nice little site although with facilities and a serviced pitch it won’t be £25 any more and we are happy to use our facilities 👍😀 cant have it all i spose 🤷🏽♂️
Been on many a french aire exactly like that one , also the first shot of the sandy beach could also be from the west coast of France , on saying that if im honest, never paid £25 for an aire before, thought the texts between you and Kirsty whilst in the chippy was a good idea and fun along with the mph on the bike ride back 😂😂, thought the bread looked nice but not according to your face at the end 😂😂, anyway another enjoyable vlog keep them coming 👍.
thanks Stephen that bread was a bit of a required taste , kirsty loved it 😍, the beach there is amazing no stones all sand perfect , always try to add something new in the vids eg the texting that time , just a bit different, cant wait to get over to France and try a proper aire , i’ll be driving you mad with questions before we eventually go most prob 😂🤣
