  • If you walk into a restaurant here in the Florida Keys more than likely the first fish that you will see on the menu is a yellowtail snapper. People travel thousands of miles to taste the delicious seafood that we have down here in the Florida Keys and the yellowtail snapper is easily one of the best catches we have to offer. Join us in this week's video as we venture only a couple miles into our backyard where we teach you how to catch yellowtail snapper.

I've so enjoyed watching your videos. I've been in Florida for the winter from Ohio; Key largo Feb and March. Unfortunately, the wind has been relentless for me fishing from a kayak. Make sure if you see an orange and black Vibe kayak paddle by, wave or stop and say hi! Watching your adventures has only reinforced...I NEED A BOAT!!! Filling the cooler with my limit of Mangrove snapper on most outings has been a joy. Looking out on the open water leaves be wanting for more. So, for now, I live vicariously through your videos. Thanks and keep up the fantastic work for us viewers!

I know this sounds cheesy, and I don't really care,...I am SO in Love with the colour of the water you have in the Florida Keys. Blues that defy description, and every region more beautiful than the rest. I live on the Canadian Prairies and I've seen fields as far as the eye can see yellow with mustard, canola or even wheat in the fall, then a field of Flax all in bloom providing a sea of blue in the midst of other crops. I love where I live but I am so tempted to say "Do It!!!" and find a way to be where the water is azure , then cyan followed by deep blue all dark and mysterious then a myriad of blue shades that don't have names. It is simply stunning, and the fact that I love to fish isn't helping right now!! I think if Stephanie had a killer recipe for Yellow Tail Snapper,.......it might just push me over the edge!!! Any job openings at AVAIL for a slightly disabled but thoroughly stubborn. loyal as heck employee?

Yellowtails are OK but def not one of my favorites to catch. Imagine going offshore on a charter and only catching 12” fish. Might as well save a lot of. $$$$$ and go bass fishing for free. Prob gonna catch a lot more bigger bass than yellowfins!😎. But thats just me. I am sure plenty of tourists get a big kick out of catching these small saltwater fish. And they are delicious too! So theres that.

Bro that is way more than 500 dollars worth of bait. Esp if you were to be selling it during a tournament.

I enjoy all your videos but would love to critique something if that would be alright. Trying not to be a troll, it just bothers me when I hear it. It probably came out as excitment so no worries but "Flags" should be fish over 25 inches. I mean I guess everyone has a different opinion to what a flag is but to me, they are the largest of the large. The 2 to 3 pound fish which is a HUGE yellowtail. It's stupid, I know! It's like saying I caught a smoker king and it was 30 pounds. NO....a smoker king is a 50 pound plus fish. Topic of a video maybe?

Appreciate the criticism Joey thanks for looking out 🤙🏼 Never really been too big into yellowtail so I defiantly see how we are using the term flag the wrong way lol
