Hi! Thanks for the video. Couple days late for me 😅, just ordered metal replacement for plastic parts that I stripped. The only thing I did not buy was the central drive. Would longer plastic one work with metal gears? Or I am in line for some metal sawing?
Hi, thanks for the video it is very helpful. I have the Hosim equivalent models and I noticed the plastic CVD steering angle is less than the metal CVD, which can also affect binding, as I test fitted the plastic CVD to the metal diff version model and vice versa. I'm looking for the least cost method to remove the binding, whether to purchase the metal diff cup set front and rear, or replace the plastic CVD with metal ones, looks like I might need to do both?
16208 already comes with metal diff, if yours is plastic, you can switch to metal diff but also need to change out the center drive shaft and all other shafts from plastic to metal
I don't have the HBX to compare, sorry. If you can measure the bearing size and the overall width from the outer bearing to the other end of the bearing, that might give us some idea
@@customtoyrevolution dont have the right tool with me but with a ruler , 17mm from the beginning of each bearing and 25mm if we count with the thickness of the bearings.

sorry to hear that, a bit of sawing will fix it. See description for dimension.
Jjrc q117 drive shaft fits perfectly
Thanks
Excellent info
Glad it was helpful!

Can the metal diff be used for mjx hyper go 16208? Thank you!

they look the same for the hbx 16890. Can you confirm that?

@@customtoyrevolution bearings are 7.93x12.7x3.95 on the diff cups
Bearing is the same. How about the distance from L bearing to R bearing?@@farmoboy83

@@farmoboy83 seem like it should work. I got 24.4mm end to end
