    Very good advice about how to handle the screws and not to mix them up. I had that issue when I opened up my Maverick Strada XB. I had no idea that there were three or four different types of screws... Lesson learned now.

    First of all - a huge thanks for the informative, non bs, non self promoting content! And an even bigger thanks for not yelling all the time, which seems to be the RUclips standard these days.
    I’m currently waiting for both the 14301 and the 14303 to arrive. 01 for me and 03 for my son. 😁
    The plan is to use the 14301 as a project platform for teaching my kids how everything works as they’ve started to show a lot of interest in the technical and mechanical stuff. For starters, we’re swapping the transmitter/receiver to a DumboRC and the esc to a Hobbywing 10BL60 to (hopefully) eliminate the input lag and overall quirkiness of the stock esc/reciever. We’re definitely doing the diffs/drivetrain as well.
    Looking forward to more videos! 🙌🏻

      @@jamesbrooker6508 yeah change the tyres to road tyres, what it comes with are for dirt/small gravel. the steering servo is not the best, so could be something else to keep in mind. Have to remember, these are not high end, but they can be upgraded to handle pretty good. Shocks play a part too, stiffen up the rear more than the front to keep grip to the front, if the rear of the car drops when accelerating, the front of the car becomes lighter, with them being AWD the front wheels. Will tend to slip a bit more, if one front wheel slips. more than the other could. be making it turn slightly.... Loads to. think. of really, all depends on a. lot of. factors, like what surface your running on too. plenty of vids around explaining how to set up shock oil to. front and rear too, may be worth spending some time on RUclips, get it set up correctly with differential oils and tyres to suit the surface and go from there. This is a great helpful video but I have a question about greasing the differentials and other gears, could you use WD40 oil instead of grease? Or am I making a mistake by greasing like this. Please I need an answer

    • @Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce
      @Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce  5 месяцев назад +2

      wd40 is not ideal and should not really be used. In the diffs there are small rubber seals, wd40 will eat away at these leading them to fail. silicone based oils should be used for this as they are rubber friendly. A good thing to remember is if it spins use oil and if it rubs use grease. What a lot of RC guys do is make sure that all oils and grease they use are silicone based and therefore safe to use.
      You can get a moly grease as long as it's not petroleum based and is RC friendly or you can use a white lithium grease. Plenty of stuff out there, Google is your best friend on this but I hope I helped out a bit with my answer 👊

    • @TheITP21

      @@Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce So can I use silicone grease for the oil dampers and all the other gears and differential or lithium grease for everything?

      @@TheITP21 Hi buddy, it's fine. Silicone oil in the shocks and the sealed diffs. the oil in the diffs is thicker than the oil that goes in the shocks but it is still a silicone oil. There are loooooads of videos on what thickness oils to use in the shocks and the diffs so look up shock oil, and diff oils. White lithium grease can be used on the gears. Again if you look up RC grease there are plenty of videos on this too. You will learn more doing this than what I can explain here. good luck bud 👊

    • @Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce
      @Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce  3 месяца назад

      Heya mate, it's all a rough starting guide, so you can change the oils to what works best for your model. So lower in the rear and higher in the front. 3000 rear and 6000 front. it all affects the handling, so if it corners and wheels spin at the front then change the oil on your next maintenance the heavier at the front. it's all trial and error untill you get it how you like and part of the fun 👊
