@@johnrangoo Thinking back to when I made this video, I was on the understanding that the shafts were of a better quality and fitment for the bearings. So I changed them. There is no slack on them now so can rule these out from any problems with steering slack in the future. You can prob leave the originals in and they will be fine.

@@anthonyzamano3929 Heya bud, might be worth you going through it again, only way to find out is to open it up again and see if you have missed something out or not put something back. Let me know how it goes please dude, be interested in knowing what caused that so other people can learn if there was a mistake.

@@Mr316jon316 hi bud, I would say the v64 are faster, better handling and quality, but the turbo racing are still awesome, I'm in no way saying one is better than the other, they are both really good and you'll be happy with any of them. If I were only getting one, it would be the v64 van. But I'd still want the other lol

@titusm hi bud, I've not had that happen to me, yet, but when it does I'll know what the problem is and put a fix up but untill it happens, this won't fix a wobbly wheel. It will give better control and responce. sorry I can't answer your question untill I have experienced it.

@@Sam-nz2zs it should. do yes, but if your gonna be using them. solely for drifting then you may want to lock the rear diffs and stiffen up the rear shocks.

@@Sam-nz2zs I can't say, I haven't tried to drift on grass, or dirt. I would look at my guide as being on Rd and for racing not so much drifting.

@ so what diff oils would you recommend for standard bashing on road and off road for this rally car ??

@Sam-nz2zs same as what I say in the video, it's bashing so will work.

@@Sam-nz2zs same as you, I haven't read the manual. but after opening all my mjx diffs, none were filled properly from factory. better to re do them with what I've said in the video or if you know what you need for how you drive then go for it 👊

@ I don’t know but with your diff oils will the car still drift on road and off road?

@@NotThatOneThisOne Heya mate, I believe you just turn the gyro around. some have a switch, some don't and you just spin em round. 👊 BUT the dumborc gyro has a small button, push it twice and should flip the direction.

@@The_RC_Family Hi mate, it does help as the servo and servo saver are stronger, but it will still happen. i have an idea on a fix for that but I need to try it out first.

I made a mistake on a video which you quite rightly pointed out, your comment was not deleted, I actually removed the video took your advice and reposted a revised video which is the one you are commenting on now. if you look at the title, it says, REVISED! So I don't keep deleting your posts, as you have only ever posted on the old part 1 video. Your comment has gone because the video has gone. I havnt repeatedly deleted your comments and anyone on here can vouch for that as they would have seen them, feel free to speak up anyone who thinks I've been deleting peoples comments. In regards to your experience, I have been into the hobby for over 30 years, and had plenty of different brands through the years but I really don't see how this matters! Your not better or worse than anyone else, so I don't know why you felt the need to express this in a comment on my channel. I have not once mentioned how experienced I am in any video, there's no need too. If you have all this knowledge, start a channel and help people out! Don't let your knowledge go to waste. I'm not sure about heating up the end of a screwdriver to loosen the screw, But I have never done it that way, if I found this to difficult I would heat the brace bar the other side of the screw, as we all know metal expands when heated, then I would hold an ice cube on the screw head to cool it, reducing the size of the screw, and releasing the grip of the lock tight. This is my method, but I will try yours next time to see if it works better and let you know the better method so everyone can get them out with ease. Perhaps you could try my way and see what you think? Don't take this comment out of context, everything I have just said I have said in a very respectful way and in a friendly manor. Exactly my aim was to cut out any rubbish and actually show people. how to do what they look to do, to make it a bit easier and take away any hesitation on working on these things. @@brinck10 Heya mate, I've done a full speed test on a go kart race track with stock setup, I have a similar problem. but also when I turn the turning circle is massive at high speed, I have brought the steering fix kit and a new servo and soon as I can I plan to make a video on how to do it all and what parts to get. Fingers crossed this will sort out the problems with the steering. First things first though, you have your gyro fully off? That would make it wobble if it was on. If its off then all I can say is let me get my steering upgraded and see if it sorts it out. One thing is to tighten up the servo saver.

Hi again. Tried turning the gyro all the way off and that helped tremendously. Thanks for the good advice! Now it’s a lot harder to drift tho. But can’t have both at the same time I guess, it’s either a straight missile with no drift capability or a drift machine with a wobbly straight line speed 😅

@@_proxy_3064 Heya bud, if you watch part 1 it tells you what I use, and it's a good start in regard to oil in the diffs. For the shocks in these I have left with the original oil, I'm not sure what that is. There are plenty of videos on youtube on how to set up shocks and what oil to use in them. For these models though I have not changed yet as I am working on a steering and esc replacement video, maybe It would be a good idea and for the video after I will go through how to set the shocks up and what oil I use. For now, check out some other videos and try different oils and see what results you get. For drifting I am thinking you will need stiffer springs and oil in front and rear. Hope this helps, and please let us know how you get on and what oil and springs you use so others can have a good starting point. 👊

also to add to this, if you change the oils in the winter, it will need to be thinner than what you use during the warmer months. You probably knew this but just in case.

@Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce Well, I ordered the grease that I saw in your videos, the transparent 7k for differentials and the gray one, now I'm waiting for everything to arrive :)

and I recently had a problem again there is no normal information anywhere. I have wheels (which make turns) when I turn to the right to the maximum possible the right wheel does not go just does not rotate and that's it, but as soon as I turn also to the maximum to the left everything works, I tried to disassemble and see if something is dangling but no, I think most likely something got into those things that rotate the wheels and they are damaged. I'm thinking about buying new ones on Amazon but I want to ask you whether it is necessary to do this or not 😅🥲

@@_proxy_3064 I'll be honest, unless I can see it actually happening I can't really comment. it's hard to say exactly what it is and I would not want you to spend money and the problem still be there. What I will say is that thing that makes the wheels turn is called the differential, if that is busted it would not cause what you are saying, I don't think. I think it is something wrong with the CVD shaft on the right, but again, without seeing it I can't be sure.

I'm also confused but also new to gyros. Why do you need to keep the gyro if the new receiver has a built in gyro? Great videos by the way. Waiting on supplies do redo my diffs as in your videos. ​@@Doeswhatitsays-cc1ce

@@davids2361 yey bud, I'm not using the built in gyro. I have other cars which this receiver can go in and they don't have a gyro. I'm just using the receiver as a standard receiver. hope that clears it up for you. Glad my videos are helping you dude. Thanks for watching! @@giorgiotibaldo Hi mate, there is a small delay in the controls, and with the new one you can adjust the power with a knob from 0-100% but on the original controls you get off-75% and 100%. on a switch.

Hiya Jimboi, Thanks for your comment bud, ill defo give flexseal a go. I found that the tyre cleaner you get with the Anki sets works ok too, gets any shine off your tyres, that with the flexseal would defo make for some badass racing lol. For racing, the anki track defo is the better option. Check ebay for the original anki drive tracks, good for higher speed races with ya pals. Take care mate, and thanks again.

@@zhie662 I can't help you on that one, you'll will have to experiment yourself. To many variables, like what size body shell, van? car? truck? it's kinda up to you to match it and make it fit. Really isn't that hard.

@@jkeavyolson yeah, pointless really. I've heard the blue one is the one to get. Black one is limited edition I think but blue one has all the "better" internals. not 100% sure but 99.i don't own the black one so can't be 100% on that.
