can we take the time to appreciate the fact that Eggman has made an entire space amusement park that is specifically designed to give Sonic a thrill with loops, springs, rails, and specific aliens in locations that make the park easier to navigate through? Not to mention that the laser bots were designed to fire sequentially to give chances to dodge their lethal attacks.
Salamence Beat ehhh, not really. The backgrounds suffer from some serious compression artifacts unlike the Rush games and the enemies were still all 2D sprites.
this level is so much more harder in ultimate. the light that showed where the lazers were going to go on the purple bot were barely noticeable. took me like 20 tries lmao
I was so pissed off yesterday because I died constantly due to that purple robot was firing lasers coming right from behind trying to figure out where he was going to aim. So I used my speed boost just to stay a few steps ahead of him until a few moto bugs came by and I got killed by them and the purple bot caught up with me and fired his lasers because of his aim was barely detected.
sonic runs at the speed of sound, over 600km/h. considering he ran for about 2 minutes on a straight corridor towards earth, this would mean the stage was as long as 20 kilometers.
I love how the music reaches the next section just as you move to the next area in the level. The streamlined nature of TV1 allows the level and music to work together in a way that isn't really possible anywhere else
@DimensionalBattleStudios nah for me it's terminal velocity all the way.It felt a lot more intense.Idk but also after playing forces alot it's like the game just got boring and felt almost lazy compared to the other games like, lost world, colors, unleashed, generations, etc.it felt like it took a less creative approach. And the only 2 memorable things from the game are really just infinite and creating an avatar. But I'm still impressed that the stages were made by 3 people. That must've been really hard to do.
mjc0961 It's really fun in Colours. Even the music was better. Everyone's saying they should've chosen Starlight Carnival but personally I might have chosen Aquarium Park. It's just lovely. Also, whoever said Radical Train, yes
how would that work for classic sonic though in terminal velocity? i can see aquatic base (or end of the world or whatever) working and eggman land but i feel like a classic terminal velocity would be kinda boring maybe its just me though
You mean 10% of automated/scripted, on rail, corridor-shaped stages where you have no fucking freedom to move or explore and 90% of boooooring, slow, blocky, hindering 2D sections full of useless Mario power-ups ? That's the most fucking boring game I've ever seen. I'd take Unleashed a million times over this pile of baby shit.
Using super sonic in this act makes you feel the "GET THE FRICK OUT OF THERE" atmosphere even more since you can boost nonstop throughout the downward run
Its more the music and the graphics that make me have fun on this stage, otherwise its just a straight line with the only option of left to right movement being quicksteps.
I remember beating Aquarium Park act 4 and thinking "Great! Now I don't have to deal with him anymore!". Then I got here and I was like "Not you again!".
Gee i like it how the Park in teh background still looks fine even though by the time we play this stage its already shut down and about to get consumed by a Purple Black Hole.
My theory is he has robots that just... Help him build stuff, and he plans his schemes in advance. So while the robots are building the theme park and stuff, he's doing the scheme from unleashed lol
I'm pretty sure at the speed Sonic was going, he should have reached Earth in no time at all, unless he was going slower than the little jet that brought him and Tails to the entire park in the first place, which makes no sense considering he was boosting, UNLESS the way from the park TO EARTH IS *T H A T* long.
Considering the constant speed this guy moves at in act 2, and the fact that this resort can hold other planets in its orbit, the run from the resort to the ground probably is THAT LONG.
in sonic colours ultimate when you go to the part with the big purple robot with the beams, you cant jump over his stupid hands so you auto get hit and theres nothing we can do, even if i boost ahead i cant see where his lasers go so ill still get it, now i cant advance further
The part i keep dying on is that dang part where you need to use your boost to avoid the big chaser. and the worst part about it when your boost runs out and you have to focus on both the motobugs for your boost and the big chaser that shoots lasers and they're soooo unpredictable.
I still remember when I played Colors, I got here. And, Boy... Do I hate how hard this level is. I always died in the last part, untill I knew I had to freaking jump to avoid the attacks of that robot! Once I got the handle of it, I FINALLY got through this stage! I'll never forget how much I suffered here...
This area may have an oxygen field, seeing as none of the robots are getting crumpled when they should theoretically have oxygen inside of their hulls from being assembled. Sonic also doesn't freeze and die.
I'm playing the remake on Series X and I couldn't understand why I got stuck on this stupid level. It was unnaturaly difficult, something HAD to be wrong. After watching this footage I understood what it was. On the last part, the robot doesn't glow before firing the laser, like it does on the original game. The laser comes out completely unannounced, which makes the last part substancially harder. Gotta say, it's unfortunate that Sonic games have such a bad reputation, but with things like this happening I can't help but think that it is well deserved.

one question How is sonic running downwords??? i was expecting him to fall or something hes just running on the wall... i mean unless thats where gravity is pulling him seeing how hes not on earth but in space and the egg man thing has probably some sort of gravity to it otherwise the hole game wouldn't work so if I'm right i just enwered my self
They kinda fell apart at Terminal Velocity didn't they? I mean, there's no logical place this stage could happen before the cutscene that takes place at the elevator after this level. And there's NO logical place the boss after that could take place anywhere on the elevator shaft. I feel like all three levels of the last part of the game should of been combined into one, with that cutscene mentioned earlier happening before all of it. But it's whatever I guess, you CAN'T have a stage with a boss, that's blasphemy! And certainly not what Mario did and does 24/7. Each part individually seems good (Never played, wouldn't know) but at the same time seems much less difficult than Asteroid Coaster, the level set before it, which is bad design if I'm correct.
