Bro asteroid coasters boss was by far the most satisfying, just completely shredding that apart with void and watching it collapse into you just gives a feeling of power I cannot describe.
I absolutely loved playing this as a kid. This had to be one of my most favorite games of all time. The boss fights, although a bit annoying, were really unique and cool to experience. I wish I could get this game again, because unfortunately I don’t have a DS anymore.
I like the ds version but I think the wii is superior because the sonic movements, bosses, level design but the ds is a pretty solid version and it's okey you like it =)

@@basurin5621 why do you find it boring? Can't say I disagree tho. But on the other hand, the Wii version did a better job of mixing the wisp powers during bosses
Well I know Wii and DS versions are different but I tried DS version a long time ago, but I haven't tried Wii version but I'm ready for Sonic Colors Ultimate
When I was 13/14 years old, I had the privilege of playing this version (I had a addicted time playing it whenever I could) and when I was 17 I bought Colors Ultimate, so seeing this I can only say two words: My Childhood 😊
And more polish. It doesn't split 2 acts into 6 acts which is more confusing as you don't which of the 6 acts are the reals entire/half of an actual act. Also in the frigate skullian boss, not only it's much cooler to eat the boss which makes the reuse worth it but also unlike the wii it doesn't lazily reuse the light road from starlight carnival but rather a unique road that fits the level theme.
The fact that Rotatron and Refreshinator have unique DS bosses in their place is actually kinda sick, not gonna lie. And the DS themes go just as hard as the Wii ones, especially with the low-health speed up. AND, the fact you can stun the Bosses in some way is AWESOME. I wish they had more moves and maybe twice the HP, because then the stuns could be an actual strat. Overall, 10/10. I loved playing this game when I was younger. *:)* (Edit: If you manage to get the Void big enough, you can actually swallow Skullian. XD)
I replayed these bosses countless times when I was 8 or 9, especially the mother wisp. It's a shame I lost the cartridge, I'd love to re-experience these and see if I'm still as good at them as I remember.
For years I've been trying to find out what Sonic game I've been playing on my Nintendo DS but I couldn't remember. Nothing but the second to last boss fight that I could never pass. This brings back memories, I'm so glad I was finally able to find it!
I still have this game and still play it. It’s always such a thrill. I remember YEARS ago I used to be scared to play Planet Wisp because of the piranhas, and Asteroid Coaster because of the skeleton heads. But then I actually did it. It was soon after that I did the final boss. It was so cool to use the Final Color Blaster. I never had the Wii version but I’ve seen gameplay. I always wondered if I could ever do a level outrunning the black hole in the DS version. I got disappointed a bit. But the Nega Mother Wisp? Aww man, I loved it. Even though I was scared to get up close to it at first. I then thought there was a Wii version of this boss. Disappointed again. When Colors Ultimate came out, I had hoped that with all of the new content being added, the Nega Mother Wisp would be adapted to the game. Still nothing. To this day I wonder if Sega will ever consider it. But regardless the DS version is my childhood.
The boss was nearly at that point so the hitbox still registered I wanted to finish the battle by eating it up whole you don't lose rings while in Void mode.
There was no hit- the ring carriage crashing makes a distorted damage sound, so I can see where you might've gotten confused the second time he used Violet Void- he wasn't hit, however. If he did get hit, his rings would've gone back to 0. Yeah I'm aware this is a year old so-?
I played the levels without realizing I was collecting the 7 chaos emeralds and when I saw the stage open up and saw super sonic man i was so excited. If i can find my old copy of sonic colours for the ds I would replay it all over again
Imo, Ds/Dsi are the best version just because you see a new form in the Sonic Franchise. Super Color Sonic, as I call it. Or Super Sayin Rainbow I called it back then.
Mother Wisp is the main reason why I prefer the DS version a lot better! Because for some uncanny reason, she doesn't make a slight appearance in the Wii version, and that bothers me.
